• SmallRig Cold Shoe (2pcs Pack) 2060 could be mounted on any camera accessories with 1/4" and M2.5 threaded holes, such as cage, cold shoe block, handle and plate etc. Such as cage for sony (a6500 a6300 a6500), cage for panasonic (gh5 gh4 gh3), etc.
  • The counter bore hole in the center is attachable to a 1/4’’ screw, but the 1/4’’ screw will not touch the hot shoe contact of accessories mounted on the cold shoe.
  • There comes with two secure bending bevels on the one end to prevent accidental removal
  • The arrowheads on the cold shoe show the direction to mount additional accessories.

I purchased a product from B&H similar to this first and it was way too tight and wouldn't fit any hotshoe device I had. My goal was to attach this adapter to my L bracket on my SLR to mount a hot shoe based remote control unit. I had the remote unit initially up top piggy backed to a flash control unit but the new flash controller I have doesn't allow for piggy backing. Thus began my search to figure out what to do. This adapter is nice because it does come with more mounting screws than the comparable product from B&H. The only disappointment might be that the competing product did include a stop screw. It wasn't important for me but might be to some people. It does fit all the hot shoe products I have including an older 430ex and a newer Flashpoint speedlight. Good price too!

I'm slowly getting into video and in doing that you will realize you will need to accessorize your camera. Accessorizing your camera means adding and plugging different devices into it to help maximize it's functionality. In order to do that you will most likely need a cage. I purchased 2 cages last month and I've been hooked ever since. Having these cages will allow you to add your accessories but you will also need a way to attach them. This is where these cold shoe attachments come in at. They allow you to move and fit cold shoe mounts anywhere on top of the cage to accessorize your rig to your liking. I never thought I would need these but once I started using the cage these are a necessity. Every item I received from SmallRig have been machined with excellent quality.

These things are great. As a photographer I have several battery operated LED panel lights that have a foot that slides into this shoe. When I was trying to think of a way to add lights to the bed of my truck, it occurred to me I could screw these brackets in the bed and use a pair of my LED lights. Now those lights serve two functions, one to light the bed of my truck and two, for photography, plus I always have them with me. As a side note I bought four more and placed them at strategic places on our travel trailer so at night I can use the battery operated LED lights around the camper. It's perfect for adding lights were they're needed.

If you bought the smallrig cage (1889) then get this cold shoe. The fit and finish is perfect. This shoe attaches to the left upper corner of the cage. There is a main screw and two small supporting screws that should keep the shoe in place. Included are the Hex wrenches needed. Again, the fit and finish are perfect. The edges all line up and nothing is crooked or misaligned. Definitely a must if you plan on adding any external accessories to your rig.

Purchased a pair of these Smallrig cold shoes from Amazon as well a a handful of much less expensive cold shoes and a couple more expensive cold shoes for mounting a host of accessories on my DLSR and Video camera 15mm rig systems. These units, specifically selected for their beefier construction were used for the foundation of attaching heavier, 9" HDMI monitors. While the stop screws prevent accessories from accidentally sliding forward/reward (as per your set up), I have not found them truly necessary as all hot shoe attachments I use fit snugly and securely. Due to the angles necessary during my use, I choose to use the stop screws regardless. Definitely sturdy enough for attaching your heaviest hot shoe attachments!

I Have the Sony A6400 and have purchased the cage for this camera with the shoe mount moved to the top left side so I could view the screen when recording but with the wind muffler on the mic it would slightly cover the screen still so figured I would order this and try it out. I have now put the shoe mount to the side of my camera so no longer having the issue of it covering the screen in any way! 10/10 product. Was the perfect price doing would it needed to do.

I used this with a single screw on the dash of my semi so I could mount a microphone for my stereo. Now I can also use it for mounting a go pro or dash camera as well since it came with two.

My only problem with the cold shoes I ordered for my cage, is that the tiny screws provided, cant be used, because the small drilled holes were not threaded. I had to use the 1/4-20 screws, which made alinement of the shoes difficult, and less likely to stay put.

The ability to add accessories in nearly any position on a frame is beyond useful. Add to that the reasonable cost of many makes the investment a great value. This cold shoe mount means I can use many of the accessories I own with cold shoe brackets.

I added this to the top handle of my Sony NEX-FS700 with the included 1/4"-20 screw. Now I can add other small shoe-mounted accessories to the top while the shotgun mic and EVF occupy the two original shoe mounts. It is a good deal thicker/taller than the original mounts, but it still serves it's purpose just fine. I love the Smallrig 15mm rail stuff here on Amazon. Almost my entire rail rig is comprised of SmallRig and it works as good as any of the more expensive stuff I've used.
