This is a very nice affordable yo-yo if you are interested in learning non-responsive play. The yo-yo has a smooth spin and looks nice. I was able to learn lots of tricks on it in no time, with the help of YouTube tutorials. Non-responsive yo-yo means that it will NOT return to you when you tug the string. You need to learn a special move called the 'bind'.

First of all, I see many people complaining, and giving yoyos bad ratings, saying "Yoyo is broken, it doesn't come back up"... Your research is broken, learn what an unresponsive yoyo is, and how to bind. It was built to NOT come back up from tugging the string. This allows the yoyo to spin far longer, and the ability to do slack tricks which would normally cause a responsive yoyo to come back unintentionally. This is a very nice yoyo. It spins smooth, with almost no vibe, the shape and size are great and very comfortable. I have decided to give mine to my brother, because he developed an interest in yoyos since watching me, and he loves it also. It's a little light, but in a good way. It's very stable, one of the smoothest I have played with when doing a gyro flop. I'm considering buying another one just because I sort of miss it, haha. A great yoyo at a great price. Why not?

This is a very good yoyo for the price. This is an unresponsive yoyo it requires a bind to return. This yoyo is for intermediate to professional play. The design is similar the the magic yoyo n12. My son likes it. I wish he liked me.

This is probably my new favorite Magic Yoyo. I have almost all the under $20 yoyos and one more expensive one (the M002 April). First thing I do when I get a Magic Yoyo is go get another yoyo string that I know is the right length. The strings that come with most Magic Yoyos are too long for me (I'm 6'1") and first throw I hit the floor really hard. You might want to check your string length before you put it on. This yoyo is about the same width as the N12 and a little wider than the Purple Line, but it's slightly narrower then the N5 Desperado. Mine's slightly noisy but is smooth and stable as can be. It binds more easily than my N12. A tiny drop of light oil might quiet it down a little but I haven't done that yet. It's even packaged more nicely than the other Magic Yoyos I've bought.

Wow. I was expecting it to be a little better than most Magicyoyos, but not this good! Very smooth with a great finish and long spin time. Also quite durable. I cringed after a "whoops" on a hard floor and it doesn't have so much as a small scratch. Love this yoyo. I would definitely buy again. I also dig the P.lotor name.... Procyon lotor is the scientific name for North American racoon.... I'm done geeking out.... This is a very awesome yoyo!

Short summary: This yoyo is a steal for the price. Buy it. Full review: For those of you that haven't heard of Magicyoyo, they're a Chinese manufacturer that makes professional grade yoyo's. Their niche is making yoyo's usually under $20 that preform the same as other brands that cost twice as much. What I really like is they often bundle extras like gloves with their products. This is a great package. Mine came with everything described. The glove is exceptional. Easy to put on, thin and slick. I just bought a 5 finger nylon for $10 and like this one better. The yoyo itself is lightweight for a metal yoyo this size. It gives it somewhat of a "floaty" feel but not in a bad way. The most distinctive thing about this yoyo is the coating. It's a very slick, almost plasticity feel to it. This was clearly a design decision as most of their yoyo's are sandblasted just like others in the industry. I think this was done specifically for finger grinds, as I get great grinds due to the slickness Combined with the lightweight I thought it felt cheap at first, but the build quality and performance says otherwise. Highlights: Well balanced. Barely any vibration. Good average size. Close in size to a shutter. Smaller than the replay and Horizon. Good spin times. Uses the standard magicyoyo 8 ball unshielded bearing. I find this bearing comparable to the center trac by yoyo factory. Good for finger grinds and finger spins. The deep concave makes it easier for those learning finger spins. Comes with some good accessories. CHEAP! Cons: A bit lightweight for my taste. This is preference. Finish is a polished coating instead of sandblasted. Again this is preference. Once you get into the $40-$50 price range, this yoyo gets outclassed by other yoyo's like the Shutter and Horizon. Conclusion: For under $20 this package is a steal. It makes a great first yoyo for those wanting to get into unresponsive play. Even if you own better yoyo's I still recommend picking it up as the weight and finish make it stand out among other yoyo's. Other thoughts: As others have pointed out the shape and size is similar to the MagicYoyo N12. If you don't already own one, I recommend buying that instead. It really is a better yoyo and costs about the same price. It's heavier which generally equates to longer spin times, and has a more standard finish which I assume is sandblasted. The only thing the P.LOTOR does that's better is finger spins, and possibly finger grinds. Disclaimer: No one paid or prompted me for this review. I'm a lowly dude that writes this stuff when bored. I like this yoyo though.

I've been throwing for a little over 2 years now. This is overall a great yoyo performance wise. For under 20 dollars, the best yoyos are probably the YYF Replay Pro, the MYY Skyva, and the MYY N12 and this can definitely compete with those throws. It plays very light on the string and is more suitable for fast tricks. The glossy finish is good for grinds and the concave cups allow for good finger spins as well. It is also a very comfortable shape. However, my only gripe is that my yoyo came with a stuck axle. I've been trying to remove it for half an hour and it won't budge, even with pliers. Adjusting the axle and bearings (which the default one is really nice) is essential for more advance throwers to get reduce "vibe" on a yoyo. For newer throwers/ children (if you are looking to get this as a gift), it shouldn't be a problem. Performance to price wise, this thing is a beast and I would give it a 5/5 if not for the stuck axle. EDIT: I have upgraded to 5 stars because the seller was kind enough to send me another yoyo that did not have the previous problem. Thank you so much for the excellent customer service!

It is a very good deal. Came with a glove and 3 strings. I used to buy yoyo from local 99cent stores, and the string would always be worn out and become broken. Now I have 3 strings, I don't have to worry about it as much. More over the quality of the yoyo is very good too. If you just throw it and leave it hanging, it would spin for around 1 min and 30 secs before it stops, which is quite good.
