Holy cow!!! My 5yr old played for 6 hours!!!

My 5yr old son loves this and so do I. Carrying case, all the little tools and pieces are great to take to grandma's on vacation this summer. He played for 6 hours!!!! What!? A five year old focuses on one thing for 6 hours!? I kid you not!! So focused and proud of himself. I can see us buying a larger kit or more to add to this one. A few things to note. There are a few frustrating things about the way the pieces go together. But thats part of the learning and experimentation. This is a very simply made kit. Great for little kids. I'm hoping I find something similar but more sophisticated when he is a year or two older.

The diagrams are easy to follow and pieces are perfect size for his little hands. I bought these for my 4 year old great grandson. He was intrigued by the diagrams, colors, pieces and tools. He literally played with it for hours building most of the items listed. Looking forward to purchasing the bigger set.

Great Toy Set for Any Age

Bought for my grand son who will turn three shortly. He loves it. His nine year old sister loves it as well. It's like a modern day erector set. He set it up in various shapes around his train set. Reminds me of toys from my childhood. Makes him think and use his imagination.

Best building toy ever

Best building toy ever! We construct all types of vehicles and creatures for and with our three year old. (He uses the provided tools to tighten the nuts and bolts in place while we hold the parts and encourage "righty-tighty, lefty-loosey.") His cousin can build with it independently (she's almost 6). We laminated the example sheet with clear adhesive shelf paper making the paper almost as durable as the colorful building pieces. Have already purchased more sets for other kids. TEACHER AND MOMMY APPROVED!

I absolutely love this product-- it's my second time purchasing it! The first purchase, I left at my old job in great hands. For an entire year, my kids went above and beyond to create awesome things. I trust that this year at my new job, it will be the same. With a larger class now, I purchased the larger kit and "tinkering station" has been a hit. Worth every penny, and will be getting another set for my tot once he gets a little older! Perfect for hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills.

These are truly quality building pieces. My 4 1/2 y.o. grandson and I spent several hours building with these. He loved what we built and wanted to make more. My only criticism is that there are not packs of some of the more needed pieces. After we built a few vehicles, my grandson didn't want to dismantle the ones we made. We had MANY strip pieces left to build more but we were out of block pieces and screws. I would like to be able to buy packs of screws and blocks so I could use ALL the pieces included. I looked everywhere to buy more parts only to find there are only two pack to be had...the one I bought with 163 pieces or one with 101 pieces. Company needs to either include more block pieces and screws or sell them in packs alone.

Easy to follow instructional sheet for assembling

This toy kit was bought for my neice’s sons age 3 and 5. They really enjoyed constructing all the various models shown in the instructions which were very easy for them to follow. Instruction sheet had color pictures showing all the different parts used for each model. This item was a big hit with them!

Happy Child

I purchased this a birthday gift for a 4 year old and mom reports that he LOVES this. It is very easy to build things independently and the pieces are sturdy. I am considering checking out one of the kits for my 7 year old.

Hours of fun!

I ordered the Brickyard Building Blocks for my four-year-old for Christmas. I find it so difficult to find any toys that my kids will play with for more than a few minutes, and then it's back to the tablet. Well, I think I finally found something. Although, I bought the building blocks for my four- year- old, it's been my eight year old who has been playing with them for the last 2 days. The building blocks come in a really nice tub, which I think is amazing, as so many of their toys once opened get scattered, and lost. The tub is actually really good quality. The blocks also come with a colored insert, which has 42 different block designs, but there are an infinite amount of possibilities. I walked into my 8 year old's room this morning to find him teaching his little brother how to use the included tools to build his own design. I absolutely love these blocks!

This is a great toy! My daughter doesn’t have any siblings close in age to her and she doesn’t like to play by herself. When we opened the package she immediately started playing with it and was entertained for quite a long time. Then she said, “Look Mom! I’m playing by myself!” Definitely worth buying and a great value for a great toy!
