Quality security light

Quality construction. Replaced a forty year old security light on a 25 foot pole. Had an electrician install it so I can’t speak to the ease of installation. Lights my garage area equally as well as the light it replaced. I would buy it again and will recommend to others if asked. Five stars assuming it gives me forty years although I won’t be around to know if it doesn’t.

This light is so bright!

My parents have a farm that was so dark at night. They had some motion lights that would come on if you got close enough to them, but they turned off within 15 seconds and it was dark again. They needed something that would light up the farm and make it look like people actually live there. I chose this light when I read it put out up to 10,000 lumens. It was the most powerful barn light I could find and I am so pleased I went with it! The building it went on had an incandescent light that had burned out for several years. I wanted to replace the light with a no-nonsense dusk to dawn light that could be installed and I wouldn't have to worry about it for years! The light it replaced is over 25 feet above the ground, so I had to have a professional electrician install it. The result is there is truly a flood of light! The front of the building the light is attached to lights up the area at least 50 feet to its left and 50 feet to its right and 75 to 100 feet in front. I am truly pleased with how it has brightened up the area. The construction of the metal housing for the light is solid and looks so much better than the 7000 lumen light that had a rougher less smooth finish to the outside of the housing. I give it a solid 5 stars out of 5!

Good light for my application.

I placed this light on top of a 25 foot pole to light up my home on 3/4 acre to provide safety in an out of my family house. It lights one side of it very well. It is about 50-60 feet away from the door. It lights the parking lot good enough that with my house porch lights I don't need any other lights on that side. I have only used it 1 night as of this review. I had it professionally installed by electricians with the included curved pole/arm mount. I had them put a extra mounting clamp on it to sturdy it up more to the telephone pole. See the advertised pic and you see only 1 clamp. We added second one just above it and it's not going to move. As of this review I am pleased with this light.

Bright, white light with same coverage as before.

Received this LED light on time and it was packed securely. Hired an electrician to install since I’m 70 and afraid of heights now. It replaced a HPS existing light and I believe it was very easy to install and wire if you aren’t afraid to climb a ladder about 13 feet up. As soon as it arrived I received an email from the seller asking if everything arrived as expected and gave his contact info if I needed further assistance. I was impressed. The light came on a few minutes ago and is it is every bit as bright as my HPS light but is a white light like daytime instead of the yellow previous light. It illuminates the same area in distance as my HPS light. I’m very impressed with this light. I will update in a few weeks or months to let you know of any changes.

Very Bright Light.

My electrician was very pleased with the quality of this light fixtures. I purchased 2 of them. I used one to replace a 250 Watt Sodium Vapor lignt. I thought the new LED light would put out less light. When it came on the first time, I was amazed! It gives out a bright white light (like daylight). Plus, the light casts out farther than the sodium vapor did. I had the second one put the barn (on the other side of the yard). Between the 2 of them, they light up my acre yard. From what the electician told me, the cost of operating the 2 lights will be less than what it was operating the old sodium vapor light. I hope this information helps you.

I ordered the 70W LED to replace a 150 HP ...

I ordered the 70W LED to replace a 150 HP sodium light at the end of my drive. I was impressed with the quality of the fixture as well as the light output. Though the color is completely different so it is somewhat difficult to compare the lumen output the new LED seems to be brighter--and it uses about half the power of the old HP sodium. It is difficult to compare lumen outputs, etc., when comparing different types of light fixtures so I was a little dubious when I read that this would replace a 150W HP sodium, but it does! It is a winner.

Beats HIP fixtures in every catagory.....

Purchased the 70 watt LED yard light to replace a 150 watt high pressure sodium yard light that got blown off during Hurricane Irma. The HPS fixture was very effective in lighting the entire yard nicely, but I really didn't like the pinkish gold color of the light, the large profile of the fixture, and the large wattage (energy consumption) of the bulb. I have to tell you the new LED fixture has surpassed my expectations in all the above categories. It is every bit as bright, lighting the entire yard effectively, it has a very natural white (daylight) appearance, it is about 2/3 the size of the HPS fixture with a very aerodynamic profile (should survive next Hurricane), and the best part is it uses less than 1/2 the energy of the HPS bulb. I purchased this particular brand and model because it uses Cree brand LED's, they cost a fair amount more than other diodes, but are well worth the difference in quality and service life. If you are looking for a "street light bright" yard light, and value means more to you than price, then this little beauty is the one for you.

Great Light, Needs Second Bracket For Arm Support

Installed this light back in February and has worked perfectly. However, manufacturer should provide a second bracket for the gooseneck arm to help the lamp hang level. The fixture is heavy and the single bracket at the base of the arm cannot keep the light perfectly level. I purchased a second arm bracket at Lowes and installed it a few inches above the first to resolve the issue.

Love this light, easy to install, nice design, well made, waterproof and really lights up the yard and shed. Best of all it is really cheap to use, my electric bill did not hardly increase as it is on dusk till dawn. Buy it, it truly is a great light for a great price, works great and gives you more security.
