Better than a Boos! Three-in-one.

I am in love with this board! It arrived perfectly conditioned and ready to go. I am VERY hard on my kitchen, and other than my normal weekly maintenance of oiling my boards and utensils it needs no extra care. I spend most of my day cooking for myself, my mother, and my dogs (yes really). I was going to order a Boos board and decided to get this one instead, and I am SO HAPPY I did! It's beautiful and multi functional. I make a charcuterie board to graze on for breakfast and lunch a few times a week, and the cracker holder is perfect! It's also great for baguette slices. The grooves on the carving side are deep enough to hold the juices of a 5 pound chicken without running over. It's big enough to hold a smaller turkey. This truly is a three-in-one board (chopping/prep, carving, serving). The "handles" that are built in to the sides make it easy to move the board from counter to table or bar. I have used acacia wood for years and prefer it over other woods in the kitchen. It arrived SO well packaged, lots of foam and a pretty box. Don't worry about it breaking in transit, and the box is nice enough to give as a gift if wrapped.

A beautiful, unique, and excellent product

When this cutting board was first recommended to me by a friend, I’ll admit I was a little surprised at the price as I had never bought a high-end cutting board before, however, after using this product for a few months now I have to say it was well worth the investment. Yes you can buy a cheaper plastic cutting board for less if that is what you are looking for, but you get what you pay for and you will most likely need to buy another one very soon. The quality and utility of this board is hard to match. There are very few cutting boards out there that you can use to prepare a snack or dish and then still be proud enough to serve it to your guests on. When I first took it out of the box I could tell it was different than other cutting boards I had used before. It was beautifully crafted and seemed durable enough to stand up to lots of use. After using it for a while it still looks as exquisite as the day I opened it. I recommend using mineral oil often to treat it to protect it from drying out as well as keep it looking great. It is also a fantastic conversation piece. I have received many compliments from friends and guests as well as inquiries as to where I got it. If you are the type of person that takes pride in your kitchen and home and you want something eco friendly that works as great as it looks, then this is the cutting board for you.

Fantastic board!

This is a curious little company. I came across this item while browsing to replace my old cutting board. Reviews for it seemed unreal so I purchased my own. This is a fantastic board, for cutting and presenting. The grain and the finish is beautiful and very well made. I used it a few times now and it stands very well to use. This is the only thing they make and they make it very well. Coincidentally, I ended up meeting the owner of the company because it turns out he lives in my neighborhood. I found that out when I messaged them to ask a few questions about the board. Very friendly and helpful. This board is the only thing they make right now. He said they are planning to make different things as they grow. I'm curious as to what they'll make next, because I would definitely be buying it.

Very easy to maintain!

I was afraid of wood cutting board because I felt they were hard to really clean and maintain. This cutting board has become my go-to for several reasons. The cutting board is a stable cutting surface. Any juice simply pools in the slot around all sides. The cutting board is thicker than most I had seen making it easy to use without touching the surface of the counter. It has two sides. It is a lovely surface to serve from. It's so easy to clean and maintain.

The cutting board is beautiful and sturdy

The cutting board is beautiful and sturdy, and deserves 5 stars just on its own, but it was our experience with the company that made me want to write a review. First, the Board: The color you see in the picture is very accurate and the acacia wood is high quality. As stated in the description it works as a cutting board and as a cheese or display board for hors d'oeuvres. We make sure to only cut on the correct side so we can keep the display side clear. Due to the dark wood the cuts left by knives do leave some light marks that caught my eye but this is mainly because the wood is so damned gorgeous I felt bad for cutting it! The color of the cutting board side has gotten a little lighter as we have used it more, but this was easily restored with a little mineral oil as recommended by Tarek from Sonder LA. (more on this below). The finger holds on the side are plenty deep to get a good grip if needing to carry it while food is on it. We love it so much we decided that it gets a permanent place on our counter after being cleaned. The company: When we first got the board we noticed there was a small crack in one of the long strips of wood in the cutting board side. It was very small and was in the wood itself, not in the seem between lengths. I was going to request and return through amazon but, as a small business owner, I would prefer someone talk to me directly. So I decided to email them directly. I told them that there was a small crack and that I was unsure if they would prefer me use Amazon or if they could help me out. They responded very quickly and were very grateful that I took the time to email directly. Tarek was happy to resolve my problem quickly and sent me a new board. He was very pleased to hear how much I appreciated the board and I could easily see the pride he takes in the business and their product. A couple of days later I had a question about how to properly care for the board (I never thought I would care enough about a cutting board to properly take care of it) and he responded with equally enthusiasm and joy. If you are looking for a high-quality, beautiful cutting board that can also be a center piece in a food display, or even just left on your counter top because it is pretty, then this board is the one. Um, am I literally in love with a cutting board?

Here's the deal: cuttings boards are fine. You can use them to cut things on...wow. My wife bought me this for Christmas because I guess she thinks I'm into cutting boards? Turns out SHE WAS ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. Actually, that's not true. I am not into cutting boards. I am into this magisterial masterpiece some people malign as a simple cutting board. It is not an understatement to say that this cutting board changed my life and has given me new purpose. Need to cut some veggies for a dank pot of chili? BOOM. Done. Easy. Want to impress your pretentious friends with a dope charcuterie presentation? BOOM. THIS. IS. YOUR. BOARD. Want to take your board for a jaunt around the block to share your freshly squeezed juice with your neighbors? BOOM. Inner handles! Super sexy inner handles that are perfect little cubby holes for your fingers, btw. Are you not a terrible person and therefore care about things like sustainability? The acacia wood is eco friendly af! Simply put, this board is the best of all possible things. I like it more than at least one of my children. Maybe two. Buy. This. Board.

BEST CUTTING BOARD IN THE MARKET

For a while, I’ve been searching and trying to decide a cutting board for my cooking needs. Then I came across this Cutting board by Sonder LA. What stands out from this board than the others is that it has reversible use for a cheese/charcuterie platter with a cracker holder SO I gave it a try. Fast-shipping & I was highly impressed. Strongly built, nice weight and very nice finish. I’M IN LOVE WITH THIS cutting board! Best board to show off a house BBQ or share appetizers with friends & family, indoors and outdoors. I even bought another one for my dad for Father’s day in chicago and He loves it too! You do not see this anywhere in stores especially sur la table or crate and barrel where they overcharge $100 for heavy wooden boards or $50+ for a small wooden board. I even have photos when I was cooking my ribeye steak. This board is just so sexy. I highly recommend this cutting board for cooking & dining enthusiasts! It’s a MULTI-purpose cutting board, what more can you ask for? Best money well spent. Will be buying more for presents soon just in time for the holidays. Thank you Sonder LA!

Excellent customer service and response. Love our board!

We had a crack appear on the edge of our board after about two weeks of use and were a little disappointed, but we understand that sometimes a crack is going to happen even when you follow the care directions. Wood isn't perfect and imperfections do happen from time to time... We received a beautiful replacement board immediately after returning the original board (within the return timeframe and with our order number), but even after that, we were contacted by one of the OWNWERS of this company directly. She has definitely proved to me that great customer service still exists! She was very understanding and responsive to my feedback about the board and even provided me with additional options to give me an excellent shopping experience with her and her Sig Other's company. We are already using our new board and so far so wonderful. It is a great color and style and My husband, the selfproclaimed cook in the house, loves using it! It will definitely be out for our meats and cheeses this Super Bowl Sunday!

Beautiful and eco-friendly

I don't ever write reviews. I hate writing reviews, but I feel compelled. We love doing dinner parties so I've been on the hunt for a versatile cutting board I could use to chop my veggies for dinner and then flip around to do a charcuterie for my guests. Honestly I was feeling overwhelmed by all of the choices on Amazon (there are a LOT). I decided to take a leap of faith and try out Sonder and I'm extremely glad I did. Seriously - don't stress yourself out like I did. I'm really happy with the quality, durability and overall look of this board (everyone who sees it asks where I got it). Bonus - I really like that the material is eco-friendly. I also reached out to their customer service to ask about upkeep and maintenance and they were super friendly and helpful. Thanks for making a great product!!
