It was easy to program for just the right amount of water ...
I bought this because it allows me to make an Americano. It was easy to program for just the right amount of water so that it makes it perfectly each time. I have used brands other than Nespresso, but Nespresso’s service is outstanding. If your machine breaks, they will send you a loaner! Love it!

Not worth the money!
I bought it for my brother’s birthday and when he received it I was very excited myself to try it. Even though it looks all fancy it makes the worst coffee ever!!! We tried several different cups and all had the same results. It has cup size options but in fact it makes only half of the cup no matter what you choose. I must say that I tried other Nespresso products and they were much better and costed way less!!! Not recommended!

Great choice for Nespresso Original, well made (EU), reliable, looks great.
Great product. Maybe the best OriginalLine machine in the US right now. Works perfectly, it's fairly small (fits snug against a wall, and the cable tugs in underneath). Took a few initial 'cleaning' cycles to pour consistently (first though there was air introduced in the lines), but not works 100% consistently and perfect. I like that it has separate express and water lines (the latter is great for tea).

Love our Nespresso coffee machine - and coffees!
We love Nespresso! Introduced to it visiting our friends in France. This particular machine is easy to use, but sometimes forget to reset dial between lingo and espresso. Also, sometimes a Nespresso module will not drop down if it becomes deformed before or during brewing. I have needed to use long nose fly-tying forceps to retrieve the small, soft aluminum’s deformed module. Bigger pliers don’t fit and block view. This also required me to cycle power to the machine to reset it. Otherwise, indications and functions are easy to understand. Again, Nespresso coffee is wonderful, making it quite a treat day and night (with great decaf’s).

Exceptional upgrade for espresso/lungo/americano drinkers!
This machine is drop-dead gorgeous and looks great on my counter. I'm really happy with the design as well as the functions which perfectly match my needs. I was using a Latissima Plus but found I rarely made milk-containing drinks so I've passed it along. I also chose the Breville model over the DeLonghi Expert due to the black color and higher number of favorable reviews. I'm not sure there's any real difference, however. Ease of use is simply amazing. Open the top, drop in a pod. The machine turns itself on and recalls your last settings. Hit the button when the light stops flashing. It makes the coffee and ejects the pod automatically. Turn the heat dial to off and you're done. It's all over in about a minute which is pretty slick, if you ask me. Pro's: -Looks great. Fits against the wall and takes up very little counter space. -Holds 40 oz of water which is more than most original line machines. Easy to fill and easy to see how much water is left. I sometimes ran dry with the tank located in back. -Separate hot water/coffee flow lines. This allows you to make Americano's as well as heating plain water for individual cups of tea/soup/etc. It's clearly not designed for making full pots of tea, however. -Three temperature settings. If you always felt the need to preheat your cup this machine may be for you. The hottest setting is piping hot and the middle setting is the standard temp used in prior machines. Some teas need even a lower temp to brew (170 degrees). Tea drinkers may find this temp selection for plain water quite useful. -Motorized pod loader/ejector. If you have arthritis you may appreciate this feature. Absolutely no effort is required to load the pods. They've had this feature in European Nespresso machines for years but I'd never seen it in the States. -There are 5 settings for cup size as well as plain hot water. Very versatile and all are programmable. -A light comes on to tell you the pod tray is full. The water tray is just below the pod tray so you don't forget to empty both. I used to do this when adding more water. Now, it simply lets me know. -You are able to determine your water hardness with the included strip then program the descaling frequency. If you have soft water that's every 4000 pods, I believe, which shouldn't be very often. -I don't really care much about Bluetooth connectivity and haven't used it yet; all the settings can be done manually, as well. Some may find this feature useful. Again, it only takes about a minute to make coffee. Do you really need to do this from your phone? You have to have a pod already loaded in the machine, as well. Seems like overkill. Cons: -You can't top up on the same pod unless you remove it from the tray and put it back in the chamber. The automatic ejector will eject the pod once the machine is finished the current program. You can, however, hold the brew button and manually determine how much water you want. You can also reprogram the amounts for each type of drink as with other Nespresso machines. I don't see this as a problem but some may like total control. You can always top up with a bit of plain hot water and call it an Americano. Overall, I couldn't be happier. If you mostly drink the same cup of coffee each day this machine is fast and easy. It holds lots of water and alerts you when other chores need to be performed. It's also versatile enough to please the tea drinkers in your household. I think they've got a winner on their hands!
