Works fantastic! I took advantage of same day delivery. Arrived by 6pm in perfect condition. I wont get all techy with this review, there are plenty of other reviews for techy stuff. Just remember 32GB is Better than 16GB...LOL! This 2017 Galaxy Tablet A, 8in 32GB, replaces my 8in 16GB Galaxy Tab3. My old tablet was running out of steam fast. I had to remove all apps except the essentials. Now with the new Tablet A, I can reload all my games, video and audiobook apps without any problems. I'm very happy with my purchase. Good luck to all of you still deciding. :)

This tablet is for me the perfect size. Not too big to use as an e-reader but big enough that with a portable keyboard and a good case it functions well as a chromebook replacement for emailing and brief document editing while on the road. Apps are very responsive (thanks to 2 GB of RAM) and the wifi is good. Very good battery life as well though that could be why it is a bit heavy, but not annoyingly so.

Got this for my niece and she's absolutely in love with this tablet. It's way faster than her previous tablet and with Android N it's up to date. Also, 32 gb is really a great amount of storage for her since she mostly plays games and watches YouTube videos.

Just what I needed to upgrade from the 2015 tab A. 16gb is not enough for the google comglomerate on my older tablet which uses up almost 12gb of memory. I couldn't update to the newer vesion of android cause not enough memory and I had all my data on an sd card. This tablet doesn't have any such problems or glitches and slowdowns due to memory. Make sure to get cover and screen protector for this model sm-t380 cause nothing for the 16gb model sm-t350 will fit. This screen is longer and narrower but still 8" in. The cord for this is usb-c where the 16gb model uses a micro usb cord. That being said,,,I love this tablet so far. It has Bixby built in where briefing used to be. Andoid version 7.1 . It has a faster processor. It has plenty of memory. The 8 megapixel camera on the rear now has a flash! RON!

I replaced my Kindle Fire with this tablet as I wanted a tablet that I could do more than just Amazon. I downloaded the Amazon reading app and it is just like I am on the Kindle Fire. I am very happy with this device. The only thing that is odd is that the controls for back and all open apps does not light up next to the home button. I mostly read with my tablet and it is great for that.

First let me tell you that I have had 3 different tablets in the past. Here's what I have used: 1) First generation Kindle Fire, which I've owned for years. I still have it and it still works just fine for a book reader although the screen is beginning to dim, the case is worn out and the USB port is loose but it still charges. I prefer the old Fire as a Kindle reader over the newer Kindle devices for various reasons and I may still use it sometimes to read E-books because it's just so easy to use for that one purpose. 2) iPad; i was forced to use an iPad by my work because there was one app that they required me to use that was only available for the iPad. And I hated that iPad for so many reasons I won't even go into here. Suffice it to say that being locked into the Apple universe was simply a maddening experience for me. My phone is an Android and I much prefer the open environment of Android. Now, this Samsung tablet might not have been my first choice if I'd simply chosen it based on specifications and newness. But price was a huge factor for me and at $149, nothing out there seemed to come close. I wanted enough memory and 32GB was adequate especially because I also bought a 128GB micro SD card for my tablet. That's probably more total memory than I'll ever come close to using. But you just can't have too much memory. My phone is a Samsung S8 so the learning curve was very small and setting up my tablet only took 20 minutes or so including downloading a few apps that I knew I wanted, including all of the Amazon ones I'll use like Kindle, Prime video, shopping, etc. The primary use for this tablet will be to replace my first gen Kindle Fire. But there's so much more I can do with this beyond what my old Kindle could do. Having Microsoft Office apps preinstalled was a nice surprise. Of course it looks like I'll need a blue tooth keyboard to make good use of them but that's no big deal. I get to buy another toy. Like others have said, not having the bottom function keys back lit is disappointing but not a real big deal for me personally since I don't work in the dark and I know where those buttons are from using other Android devices. The screen resolution is amazing. I'm impressed for the price. I bought a case with the same order and I'd recommend anyone to do the same. It looks like it would be way too easy for me to drop and crack the screen without protection. Especially because my left hand is disabled and clumsy. I can't comment on battery life yet because I haven't used it long enough to get a good feel for how long the battery will go in day-to-day use. The bottom line; I'm 100% pleased with this tablet and I'd buy it again.

Great tablet. Replaced a 2014 Google Nexus 7. Thought the 8 may be too big, as I really liked the 7. But the size is great. The tablet is fast and I like the storage size. That was very important to me. I use an iPhone daily, so I like using the Android for my tablet. It's much more affordable than an Apple Tablet and it's just as good.

I have a Tab 4 that I was using prior to the Tab A. I really liked that one, too, however, it was slowing down and I really couldn't keep any apps that I wanted for lack of space. The Tab A has twice the amount of space, and I'm really happy with the speed of loading apps or even my preferred browser. All in all, it's just faster. Picture quality is way better on this device than the Tab 4. I also prefer the newer OS (Nougat) to Tab 4's Lollipop. I wish Samsung would update the OS to Oreo, but I don't think that's gonna happen. I will say that Samsung and Google always load these devices down with too much garbage, so I also purchased a small app that I'm able to disable any of the bloatware (or system apps) I don't use or want running in the background constantly (and I didn't even have to Root the device to do it). Nice. As far as durability is concerned, I don't take any chances. Electronic devices tend to be delicate, so I bought an Otter Box Defender Series case for it so when my Grandson gets a hold of it, it's not going to smash in to a million pieces.

I love this tablet. My husband bought it for me for my birthday. I was looking for something to use while at work. I work at a small doctors office and it’s very slow sometimes. I use the tablet for netflixs ,Facebook, reading and just internet use. I was going to buy a iPad mini but couldn’t see spending $400. It’s a great tablet super fast just as good as a iPad. I really love how small it is and so easy to travel with. I bought a cute case and a screen protector for it. It’s def worth the money :)

Great tablet, seller just needs to provide more info in the listing, such as , the user manual download in the listing is for the wrong tablet, having the correct user manual is a must. Finally found the correct manual download at B&H photo listing for this tablet... Samsung changed the charging cable to the USB-C connector, efficient and fast charging requires using the Samsung charger, plugging into you pc will not get it done, notification to that will show not enough power, also the small silver pin in the tablet packaging is for opening the micro SD card tray, good to know... Again great tablet, listing info, not so much.....
