Great book light, amazing battery life

The light this thing puts out is fantastic. I took these pictures in my bedroom with all the lights off and blackout curtains. It's pretty hard to see your hand in front of your face. You can see the different light colors in the pictures, but I try to use it with the most yellow color for nighttime reading purposes. The battery is solid also, I've had this for about a month now and have yet to recharge it with near daily use. One little niggle I have is that the clamp part is pretty beefy, so it's a little unwieldy with paperbacks, but it's just something I've gotten used to. I wouldn't steer anyone away based on that.

Best value for money

After over two years finally i can read a book again everynight without my husband got interrupted. Has 3 mode of lighting, the last one is the best in my opinion, i can read a book without hurting my eyes. Perfect for read a book in dark area.

Much better than expected!!

This light has many features I really appreciate. The tabs that grip the book have a nonslip coating so the light doesn’t tip over as you read. It’s rechargable with a usb which is really convenient for home or travel. It has three light settings, including a yellow light which I appreciate at bedtime when trying to prepare for sleep. The lamp is very bendable to accommodate lots of book sizes/ positions. The only negative I have is that it’s hard to fit the little plug to recharge into the lamp because of its small size and awkward location.

I'm shocked I'm reviewing a clip light, but I had to!

I bought this product for my 2 boys that read at night in their bunk beds. I was tired of changing batteries of those other lights and the other ones had cheap clips that broke and/or the light was just one setting and too bright! I'm shocked I'm writing a review for a light but I have to say I'm sooooo impressed with this product! These are the things I LOVE: - Clip is strong but not too strong for kids. - Clip opens pretty wide - Rechargable feature is just genius - Charge lasts long. My kids read about an hour in bed nightly and they only really charge maybe 1 or 2x a week via micro-usb - I love that there are different light color settings for better adjustment on the eyes reading in dark - The bendable arm that holds the light is a great idea / feature because the kids read in all crazy positions in bed The only thing I would change is the brightness level- even the lowest one seems a BIT too bright and I worry it keeps them up a little later but I really don't think it's THAT big of a deal.

This little light is amazing. I wish I had bought it earlier. There are three different light settings. The first is a bright LED blueish light, the second is a little dimmer, and the last is a yellow light(my favorite). I was hesitant buying only because I find the bright blue LED lights a little harsh on my eyes but the last setting is perfect.

Too bright for reading in bed (fixed)

Update: After seeing my initial review below, TopElek customer service reached out directly to me(!) with the hope they could help. They did! To address the "too bright" issue, they sent this replacement: TopElek GEHM215AB 7 LED Clip Reading Lamp with 9-Level (Warm/Cool White), USB Rechargeable, Eye Care Brightness Book Light and it is MUCH better. Longer neck, more adjustable lighting. Aside from buying it the FIRST time everything worked out. I really wanted to like this, but I can't. It's far too bright (even at lowest setting). My use case is for reading in bed (before falling asleep) in a dark bedroom (all lights off) with my wife next to me (usually asleep before me). This thing literally lights up the room. For comparison, I have a Kindle Paperwhite - and reading that at night emits very very little light. I know it's not an equal comparison, but that's the sort of light setting I was hoping for (for my non-Kindle books) - juuusssttt enough light to read, not something that lights up a dark room! I'll probably try covering an LED with electrical tape so only 1 will emit light at the low setting. On a positive note, it seems well-built and the flexible neck works well.

Excellent book light

This is a nice little book light. The clip is strong and easily grips a hardcover book. The variations of light intensity are good -- from bright and medium white light to a yellow softer light. Easy to switch on and off, and flexible arm. Glad I found this.

Best Reading Light I've Ever Owned

It's easy to use, sturdy enough to stay fixed where you want it while still flexible enough to direct it and maneuver it. It charges quickly and holds a charge forever - and that's important because I do a lot of long-session reading in dim lighting. And the 3 different color/brightness options for the lighting are excellent because there are times I push myself harder than I should to finish a chapter, and the brighter light helps, while the blue and yellow lights are easier on the eyes when I'm more relaxed. I also don't worry about dropping it and breaking it or stuffing it into my overloaded bag on the way to work because it seems like it's fairly indestructible unless you wanted to smash it with a mallet. Definitely the best reading light I've ever owned.

Great reading light, great company!!

I have rarely been truly amazed by excellent customer experience. Yet, this company truly surprised me. I purchased a book light. It was delivered promptly, and definitely lit the pages of the book, but there was one big problem. The flexible neck was too "bouncy". It cast a funny light all around the room every time I moved. This annoyed my husband when he tried to sleep. For this reason, I gave the product a 3 star review. When the company read the comment, they contacted me, apologized and sent a new, updated model. I never asked them to do that! They took the initiative. They did the right thing. On their own. I was amazed. The new reading light works perfectly. I would absolutely, positively recommend purchasing anything from this company. It's so rare to find a company that stands behind the products they sell. It was just a book light - not a big expense. But their response was huge! Buy with confidence! Great company - great little book light!

Great customer service

I really wanted to love this, but unfortunately it did not hold up well. After constantly replacing batteries in another booklight for my 8 year old who is a voracious reader, I bought this for her in November. It stopped working in mid-January because of faulty wiring in the neck. It started going south when we noticed it flickering when she was using it and she would have to attempt to hold the neck up to keep the light on. After a few nights of that, the neck was just too floppy and now we cannot get it to stay on at all (despite it being charged). Before this, the light worked great! **Edited after excellent customer service.** I was contacted by the company and sent a new device after they saw my review and that my light stopped working. The new light works great with none of the previous issues. I really appreciate the great customer service!! I now give 5 stars instead of 3 stars.
