• INSTANT SUCCESS - That’s what we want kids to experience on the Strider 14x Sport. We’ve assembled all the necessary ingredients to give your tyke a taste of confidence, so your little racer can successfully shift from riding a balance bike to pedaling like a pro as quickly as possible. Why? Because the success your child experiences when they ride a Strider begins building confidence they’ll use for life.
  • GROWS WITH YOUR CHILD - If your mini-me is sprouting faster than a weed amped up on fertilizer, the 14X is the bike for you. The adjustable seat and handlebars accommodate ages 3 to 7 years, or inseams ranging from 16 – 23”, so your little one always has a bike that fits.
  • DESIGNED FOR KIDS - The lightweight frame weighs only 12 pounds (pre-pedals), making it easy for your child to handle. The footrests are perfect for learning to balance and glide until they're ready for pedals, which can be easily attached when the time comes.
  • COMFORTABLE AND SAFE: The chain guard prevents cuts and scrapes and helps keep the chain mud-free. The padded seat and soft handlebar grips offer extra comfort, so your kids can ride all day (because you know they'll want to).
  • MADE TO LAST BIKE KIT - Kids can be hard on things. The 14x's durable steel frame is designed to last for years. The all-adventure rubber tires are compatible with standard bike pumps, making maintenance a breeze.

My almost 4 year old son had the smaller strider for about a year and loved it! He was getting a bit big for the smaller strider, but not big enough for the 16 inch bikes we tested. The Strider 14X is the perfect size and weight for him. He cruised around no problem as soon as we got the bike put together and will be trying the pedals tomorrow. Assembly was very easy. This bike fills the gap between little kid and big kid bikes. Just what we have been looking for. Thanks Strider!

I was hesitant to purchase the bike because of the price but honestly it has been a great buy. My son is 5 had was having difficulty learning to ride a bike using only training wheels so I purchased this. He has been using the bike without the peddles for a few weeks but as soon as we put the peddles on he was immediately able to ride without assistance or training wheels. With his old bike and training wheels he would get stuck or would be unable to move forward when not on a paved surface and would become frustrated. Then I would have to drag his old bike back to camp while he walked and pouted. This new bike is light weight and easier for him to maneuver which makes our bike rides a lot more fun. It’s also nice to not hear the noise of the training wheels. The bike was easy for me to assemble and transition to the peddles. I thought the bike would be a little small for him when I first put it together but it has a large adjustment range for the seat and fits him perfectly. I am very pleased with the bike and plan on saving it for my younger son once the older one outgrows it.

We used it for our five year old daughter. She was too scared to go on a 14 inch bike with training wheels because she could barely reach the ground. We like that this bike is lower to the ground and she was always able to catch herself when off balance. She loved it right from the start. We only used it seven times for 30 minute sessions down the hill and she was able to balance herself after that. It took a minute after putting the pedals and now just couple weeks after we first started she is a bike rider. I highly recommend this bike if you have a cautious 5-6 year old. I only wish that for the price it would come with more accessories because this one is bare bones.

Bought this for Christmas for my 3 yr old and he loves it! We are super impressed so far. I love that it's so adjustable and feels so sturdy. My son has ridden a tricycle and had a strider balance bike for the last couple years so it took him about an hour to take off on this bike with no issues. It did take him a few weeks to get comfortable enough on the bike to try out the brakes and get good at them. The only issue we've had is the pedals have come off twice recently. It may just be my husband didn't tighten them enough...we'll see. I do wish it came with a kickstand but maybe there isn't room to put one on. The only other thing was my son needed a bell so we had to buy the separately. I'm so glad they made the 14x as my son is tall for his age but will still hopefully get a few years of use out of this bike. Update: My son just turned 5yrs and is 46.5 inches tall and he is definitely outgrowing the bike. It's still working great but I had hoped he'd be able to use it longer. In all fairness, my son is still in the 90% for height.

We got this bike for our grandson this Christmas after spending time with Great nephew in Anchorage, AK and watching as he and his Strider bike went everywhere together. We even took it to the Anchorage Zoo in a snow storm and he rode it through 6" of snow! What amazes me is the way the boy and the bike blend together. He zips around on it without any hesitation. At age 3, he has no fear or insecurity of losing his balance. the bike is strong and sturdy. His feet are always on the ground, but he doesn't even realize how he is developing the balance he will need when the pedals are added. We are sure our grandson will be thrilled with his Strider bike! We bought the pedal kit with it so there will be an easy transition. AND once he outgrows it, his little sister is waiting in the wings! Good quality bike.

It won't let me add a video... BUT - this is the way to go!!! My kid was on 5th- me-down Strider since she was 2. Now she is 4, wears 2T-3T clothing. She outgrew 12' so we went for this. For 2 days she was balancing and didn't do so good at all ( in my expert opinion). But she knew this came with pedals, so she kept begging for them. So i put them on... I run arround the playground for 2 loops. She said she is done... But we went to the store... On our way back - there was a little hill down... And off she went. Pedalling on her own... I think i shattered a tear, cuz her PT at 10 month didn't give us much hope if she would ever walk. Now she is 4 and rides a 2-whealer. She cannot run ( cuz she falls every time) but she can bike... And I'm cool with that. The only set back for me ( that's why still 5 stars) . there is no way to lock this bike up. I mean - a little hole would not hurt. Not big triangle - just something to put a cable through. While not a problem for most - we live in NYC with a 4 story daycare... And 300 kids... Just wanna lock it up.

Woohoo!! My 4-5 year old got this for his birthday and previously he was riding the radio flyer balance bike for two years. I wanted him to upgrade to a bike with pedals but all the ones I found with the training wheels were differently shaped.. I wanted a bike with pedals but normal shaped! Found this bike which has the option to turn into pedal bike! As soon as I got it I put the pedals on! And let me tell you how awesome it was to see my son go straight to pedals WITHOUT training wheels!! He mastered this bike as soon as he got on it! I am a true believer of balance bikes!! I love it! One thing to note, this bike is pretty heavy! Compared to the radio flyer balance bike he was using.

Love it! I have two boys ages 3 and 1 1/2. We had the smaller strider bike for my three year old, and he absolutely loved it. But, we needed to get a bike for my 18 month old. I did not want to buy another smaller one just to have to upgrade in a couple years. The 14x fits my three year old perfectly on the smallest setting. He was easily able to pick it up and ride it right away. I love that he will be able to ride this bike for many years to come. And, when he is ready, we will put the pedals on for him. Totally recommend this bike. Shipping was fast and packed well. Bike comes in a couple peices but is very easy to put together.

My son is 4 and is really big for his age, coming in at a little under 4'. While I am sure he could learn to ride a pedal bike quickly, he loved the versatility of his first balance bike. The ability to ride in the grass, through rough terrain, and without fear of falling made his balance bike a huge hit. Unfortunately for him (though fortunately for his little sister) he outgrew the bike quickly. I didn't want to pressure him into a bike with pedals, but had a very hard time finding a similar bike that would fit him until I found this Strider. He falls right in the middle of the size guidelines and the bike is a perfect fit. It's very well constructed and can be switched to a pedal bike if he ever wants to. I know it'll hold up for years to come and when he outgrows this one, it too can be passed onto his sister.
