Perfect for using on a 'legacy' computer system!

I needed to update an expensive piece of test equipment which still used a floppy drive for I/O. I decided to try the Gotek Floppy Emulator and it installed just like a regular floppy drive. The machine BIOS 'thinks' it's a floppy drive and writes to it like one. This unit has the ability to make multiple partitions of 1.44MB each, but I only use one partition and it works fine for shuttling data into my report layouts in QuarkXpress. Writing speeds are the same as a floppy, but of course offloading to a PC goes much faster than a floppy. Aesthetically, it gives my test instrument an updated look, and even the color of the bezel blends in nicely with the front panel color scheme.

To be fair, my application was not plug & play (nor did I expect it to be) but once reflashed with FlashFloppy my old Akai sampler lives again! Fit and finish of the unit is decent, and I plan on buying a couple more to update some other things.
