I was very hesitant to order this starter button because of all things, how would I describe to a auto store I need something sticky but not to sticky to remove a starter button. I finally decided to buy the awesome red starter button and guess what? THE COMPANY INCLUDED THE STICKY STUFF!!! I button fits perfectly. The sticky stuff worked SO future customers, fear not.

Puddy works and makes it a 5 second process

The quality of the paint is great. Exactly the same as the OEM as far as fit. I was able to use the sticky puddy to get the OEM button out on the first try worth no problems. Leave your key out of the car, stick the whole stick of puddy on the OEM button hard enough to push it in, then quickly jerk it toward you and it will come right out. Installing the new one simply requires lining it up and pushing in hard enough till you hear a click.

Perfect Fit in 2014 X5 (F15)

This looks Awesome!!!! It comes with the sticky tac putty and the old start button came out with no issues and no damage. This plugged right in and looks AMAZING!!! So happy with this purchase. If you have a BMW with similar style push button start, I highly recommend this. Did I mention it looks AMAZING!!!

Great item!

Sticky stuff goes on old button. Cover it entirely! Make a little tail/handle. Pull it fast like the tablecloth trick. And viola.....take red one out of bag and push it in place of old one. Done. If this takes u long than 2 minutes your doing it wrong. Pics to follow. Thanks for having this available. Will post more pics in 6 months after Florida sun beats on it a while.

So Im only writing this review to specify ONE THING, the package comes with these adhesive things that’ll supposedly remove the existing egnition button. Which may or may not work in all cases. Quite frankly In my case it DIDNT Work whatsoever im not bashing the product im more or less elaborateing on the fact that it was pitched in a way that it’ll be an easy 1-2 punch an it’s in but nope not for me. Anywho just make sure u think it out before u purchase. Thanks

By far the easy to install and give that added pop to your interior. The method by which the company tells you how to install is so easy. Looks Great, Easy Install.

I was very surprised. This Red BMW starter button arrived and it looked great and just like the original factory piece (just Red). I was skeptical that it was going to be as easy as the site photos said it would be to remove the old one and install this button, but it was. Just place the provided sticky putty on the old button, it took 3-4 snatches to pull the old one off (it has 2 prongs on the backside holding it in), and it pulled right off. The new Red one slide on very easy and snapped in place. If yours in worn out also, this is a great replacement at a fraction of the BMW price and you don't have to take the entire starter button apart, too easy! Thank you!

Great replacement start/stop button, really easy to install!

Really glad I purchased this replacement start/stop button. The original button was all dinged up and looked crappy, and the new red one looks great! I used the sticky playdoh included in the package to remove the original buttion and it worked great! Make sure to cover the original button and form a little pull to grab on to - and sure enough it'll pull the old button out without damaging anything.

60 Second Install!

Perfect fit in a F22 M235. Very easy install. It took less than 60 seconds. The sticky gum method really does work vs pulling out the ignition switch! The sticky gum did not take any paint etc. off of the original BMW switch button. Buy it from this brand/seller as it comes with the sticky gum needed to pull out the old switch button. The product came with zero instructions. I just read the prior Amazon reviews and watched a couple of You Tube videos from Mark Mollat and Messay Garage.

Subtle Mod but Worth It

This is a really nice subtle modification and will be standard on the 2019 M2 Competition. It looks and feels like an OEM quality part. The install was so simple, and I was truly surprised! All I did was mash one of the adhesive sticks on the OEM starter button working it in a little and gave it an hour to adhere. I just pulled quickly and it came right off. I lined the Red Start Stop button up like the previous one was, and it snapped right on. BTW, I checked some start stop install YouTube videos while I was waiting for it to arrive, and they were removing the whole start mechanism. DON'T DO THAT, just follow the vendor's instructions. They are perfect.
