I love this toaster! First of all it beautiful! It IS a bit large just be aware. It’s temperature control is amazing and has some really neat features such as only toasting one side of a bagel if desired. It’s easy to use and we really love it in our home

Fantastic toaster!! Whoo Hoo

After buying a totally worthless Hamilton Beach 4slice toaster that dried out bread to almost crouton consistency, my new B&D is fabulous! Perfect toast every time! It is not for impatient people though- it does take awhile to toast even on 2 1/2, but it’s so worth the wait!

Great 4 slice toaster

Bought this to replace a 4 slice toaster we had for 10 years. Our old toaster brand/model has been discontinued, so we had to start from scratch, reading reviews and such to find a new one. This toaster has lived up to all the positive reviews that were posted about it. We make our own homemade bread in a bread machine, thus our bread slices are bigger and differently shaped then uniform "store bought" bread. This toaster is not big enough to toast a whole slice of homemade bread. The top or side, depending on which way you put the slice in, sticks out. To solve this, we just cut our slices in half and pop the halves into the toaster and it toasts them completely and perfectly. If you have a large family and want to make 4 complete slices of homemade bread into toast at once, then you might have an issue of the bread being too large to fit completely in the slots. Cutting them all in half might take too much time/effort? All depends on the person and situation I guess. Just letting everyone know what works for us. For regular size "store bread" this is a non issue. The toasting is always perfect. We have yet to have any slices burnt, stuck, or under cooked The ombre coloring of this toaster is unique and when I purchased it, I was a little unsure of just how it would look. But there was no other 4 slice toaster that had such good reviews and fit the other criteria I was looking for, so I chose this one. The ombre color is actually really pleasing. We have a traditional kitchen, not modern or special color themed. This toaster is always on the counter and does not detract or stick out. I would definitely recommend this toaster to anyone looking for a 4 slice. The delivery was perfect, packaging was great, no damage, no assembly. Just place and plug in. Very happy with this purchase. We only hope it will last 10 years like our last toaster did !!

Love this large 4 piece toaster. Very pretty & functional

I love the umbre look. This is a large 4 piece toaster maybe not the best if you're trying to conserve counter space but it does look beautiful! The body is not too high shine which makes it easy to clean and hide smudges. Makes perfect toast and bagels every time. It's nice to have the defrost function and is overall a asset to our kitchen.

Nice toaster

Got this to replace our Hamilton Beach 4 slice toaster. It only lasted a few years. I like this toaster so much better. It's an ombre black, very good looking for a toaster. It toasts the bread nicely, handles & knobs for toasting adjustment are easy to use. I hope it lasts longer than our old toaster but so far very happy with the purchase.

Wow, Blown away

Keep in mind we are coming from a 20 year old toaster to this. So it's a bit like stepping into a new Cadillac when you used to drive a Station Wagon. Like many before me I read and read and read....and read the reviews all across amazon on the other brands including this one, and in the end, I came to the same conclusion you did. There is a lot of mixed reviews telling you one thing or another, and in the end you have to risk making a decision on one of them. Well let me try and make that easier. I went with Black and Decker due to always using their tools. Stanley, Black and Decker, Etc. I figured if I was being forced to take a risk, it might as well be with a company I semi know and on a service like Amazon which always has my back. Well I am very happy I took the risk, this toaster is not only stylish I can get my kids fed in a timely manner! Perfect Toast every time! Although it is worth noting the temp settings ARE NOT the same. Temp setting of 3 on the left side is slightly colder than a temp setting of 3 on the right side. We learned this the hard way. Aside from that learning curve you can't go wrong with this toaster. BE PREPARED TO BE CLEANING FINGERPRINTS OFF THIS NON STOP!!

I love this toaster. I had to return a different brand I purchased and ended up trying this one. I am so glad I did. It toasts beautifully!
