Best light timer I have ever had

Best light timer I have ever had. It is silent (many of the dial timers have a loud click), easy to program and leaves room in my outlet to plug in something else. I found the directions to be very easy to follow. They sent me a hard copy of the directions and then emailed me a copy of the manual to store on my computer in case I lost the hard copy. A great company to work with and an excellent product!

The manual that comes with the timer is VERY good but you do have to read it carefully to set things up ( at least I did) Really Its not that difficult. The quality of the construction is very good, I was impressed. This is a good indication that the timers should last a long time. I have just put mine into service but at this point I would recommend this product to others .

So far so good! I was looking for a variable programmable timer. I saw a few reviews where these timers quit working after a few months but I took a chance and order them anyway. They were extremely easy to program and so far have continued to work flawlessly. I will come back and update your review if anything changes but my experience has been great and these timers gave me exactly what I was needing

Easy if you read the instructions first...

A lot of reviews complained about these being hard to program or dead on arrival...give it a try across a 2 day period and pay attention to the instructions especially around the on-auto-off section! If you select Off, and then select Auto, it’s got to cycle through 24hrs to reset the programs. These timers work great and probably going to reorder for holiday lighting.

Worked well to give appearance of being home

These are very flexible while being reasonable in price. As others have noted the programming is somewhat complicated but the instructions were clear enough when followed step by step to make the process not too difficult. You shouldn't think that you're going to just pull them out of the box and figure it out all by yourself however. Keep the instructions cause chances are you won't remember all the steps when you try to re-program months from now. I like the randomizing feature that turns the unit on at slightly different times over the course of the programming so that watchers are not able to discern a consistent pattern (ala Home Alone). Overall, a good value and useful tool.

One worked the other did not, but now problem fixed!

Great product it does everything I need it to do. I have 7 of these timers that control lots of things in and out of my home. This particular last order one was dead right out of the box, the other worked. I have read the same from some other reviewers, the return window is closed so I would check them right when you get them as to not get stuck like me with a dead one. Update: Contacted customer service and received a very prompt response. They were going to stand behind their product and gave me a tip about the DOA one. They told me to plug it into the outlet, THEN take a paperclip and push reset button. Worked like a charm, display came right on and timer works perfectly! Changed to 5 stars not only for their excellent timer, but excellent response from their company!

Well worth the money

These are pretty impressive timers. I've alway had those old fashioned dial type timers with the little red pin that gets used to indicate when you want them to turn off. It was always a guessing game as to whether they would work as expected or not. I'm glad I tossed those and invested in these. They are very easy to use and you can set up to 10 different on & off times as well as opting for a "random" mode which will randomly turn the lights on or off within a half hour of the time indicated.

Programming

My early review must be retracted because the second timer does turn of IF IT IS CORRECTLY PROGRAMMED! I suggest anyone who may be a slow learner such as I to READ THE EXAMPLE SETTING and plug in the times you want for on and off. It now operates as I want to use the same program for a week.

Nice Quality Appliance. Recommended

I like the way these work. As others have said, you need to pay attention to the instructions when you program them, but I got it without too much difficulty. (hence the 4 stars) Now that they are operational I really like them a lot more than the mechanical ones they replaced. The displays are adequate, but not large, or illuminated. (hence the 4 stars) I bought 4 of them (2 packages) one unit was defective, but quickly replaced by the seller without hesitation. Very good customer service.

But I am satisfied with my purchase

Arrived as promised. I had no trouble programing as the instructions were followed very closely. I appreciate your sending pdf. instructions as I have a tendency to misplace instructions. The timers work well. Set it up for a trial run and lights came on and went off as programed. Will work on setting up 2nd and 3rd settings as I am not quite sure how that works. But I am satisfied with my purchase.
