This is a great seat and I'm so glad that I purchased it. I have a small in home daycare and used to use the foam seats w/ characters on them. I changed because I was worried about disinfecting them and that the foam would hold bacteria. I dont have to worry about that anymore. Everything is plastic, easily cleanable, easy for the children to climb up and down from and it makes them feel safer now that they have handles they can use. It will fit both the round and elongated toilet lids and is very easy to put together and remove when not in use. Great product.

My son is 4 and hates, HATES using the toilet. He's almost potty trained otherwise, in the sense that he knows when he wants to do number 1 and 2. He does number 1 on his own and is also great about not wetting the bed. Number 2 however, has been very troublesome. I'm not sure what it is exactly that scare(d/s) him so but getting him to sit on it and do his thing is akin to pulling a tooth. He doesn't have accidents though, whenever he needs to go he asks for a diaper and that's how we know he's ready to go. He has had a potty seat forever and so I decided to try this instead based on something a teacher told me. She said that some kids like or need to feel their feet on the floor or on something. My choices were to buy a kid stool in addition to another potty seat so he can use whatever potty he wants to, or buy this. Well, we got it and he used it once, though he did not do his thing. He sat for a while, got comfortable and decided he was done. He then promptly asked for a diaper and did his thing there. The next time he tried it, it was a bribe for a Rescue Bot and he did do something, but we could tell it was all out of nervousness and he didn't finish it up. I'm happy to say, I'm here finally writing this review (and also feeling pretty proud) because he finally took this thing and used the potty on his own last night. We sit this up at the side with the intent that when he needs to go, we'll take it to the powder room or the bathroom he's intending to go to, but it sits in the powder room because it's closet to the family/living room and is where we all sit to watch tv and eat dinner and such. Anyway, last night he called me to tell me he "did it" and it was completely on his own. So he moved it, opened it up himself, put it on the seat, got up on it and did his thing on his own. All he called me for was to help him clean up. So, yeah, this works or at least it worked for us. You know, he just could have been ready now, after all this time, but I think if we just had the potty seat, he wouldn't have been able to get up on it and try it like he did. If we had the stool+seat, it likely would not have been in a place where he could easily use them and he wouldn't have been able to easily move everything over. This is why I'm chalking this up to Spuddies.

Awesome product! Ordered for my granddaughter who is potty training, but has some developmental delays and doesn’t communicate verbally her need to go, she is also small and this gives her complete independence when she needs to go potty! We use the same words and now she will say, climb up, turn around, sit down and potty! Very well made, the hand grips are awesome! No mess or overshot when she pees, like the padded seat we had which was gross! Highly recommend this product!

I bought one of those portable potties that go separate and I very quickly realized my mistake: you got to empty that thing and clean it up. As you search on Amazon for options for your child who is still not quite potty training but you are starting to prepare for it you might think that cleaning those things would be fine but trust me it will not. It’s gross and inconvenient. This ladder thing on the other had is awesome. I would say that it is a little difficult for the child to put on the toilet by himself and since we do put it on and off all the time (for us to use the same toilet) I have to go set it up for him whenever he wants to go number 2. But it takes 2 seconds to put on, everything goes in the toilet, you flush it, you are done. It’s also sturdy and he loves it.

What a great little (affordable) product. It fits our toilets great and locks in for a really sturdy training seat for my potty training toddler. She loves that she can climb up on her own to go. Great buy and much cheaper than competitors prices. Very easy to assemble. I will say I initially purchased this for our powder room downstairs for easy access for her but it locks in so well onto our toilets that if adults plan to share the bathroom it was too much trouble removing when nature called. Ended up putting it in her personal bathroom upstairs and using the standard removable potty seat I had already down there and got a hook to hang it on the side of the bowl. It’s actually much better this way. I’ll recommend it to anyone with a kid who needs a potty seat for their child.

Our bathroom has slick tile floors so we needed a toddler potty with attached steps so we feel safe letting him use the bathroom by himself which he loves cause then he feels like he is a big guy. The handles are great so he can step up and turn around carefully and the seat works just as well as the others we have had. It is secure enough but also can be taken off pretty easily for an adult to use though ours stays on all the time since this is his bathroom. The steps also dont stick out too far since we have a long narrow bathroom which was a huge plus, as the step stool stood out way further (but was able to be moved). It is easily wiped down and cleaned and can fold way for storage. If you are looking for a training potty with steps attached do not hesitate to try this one, it works great!

Easy to set up and use!!! Seat folds down nicely when not being used which makes it easy to store out if the way. I got this for my 2 year old for potty training and she seems pleased to be able to do it her self, and I feel a lot safer with her using this.

I have tried several different potties. This is my favorite and the one I will recommend for here on out. What I like best is that there is no need to empty the potty and clean the bowl. All of his business goes away with a quick flush. The one I received was updated with a splash guard, which guides the pee down and not out onto the floor. The handles are also a great feature, allowing him to climb up carefully. It’s not the sturdiest, in that it doesn’t attach to the seat but I don’t think it is a significant problem because it leans well agains the toilet. I also like that you can remove and fold it very easily, allowing guests to use the bathroom without any issue. I am simply BEYOND happy that I don’t have to clean up any more pee from the floor or the potty. It smells fresh and clean in there once again.

My 3yr old has just graduated from the small potty to the big ladder potty. She loves to set it up on her own and is able to do so easily. The potty seat is perfectly sized for a toddler's bottom, the handles make It easy for her to climb up and turn around safely to sit down, and there's a raised front which helps catch any rogue peepee. It can be removed from the toilet with some adult help and folds very nicely to lean against the wall without taking up very much space, only around 8 inches of space from the wall! I especially like the neutral colors which look nicer in my bathroom, instead of the silly orange and green potties you see everywhere else.

At first we thought it was going to be way to big to keep in the bathroom but I just realized how easy it is to fold this thing! We love it so much we bought a second one to put in the other bathroom. Now our little "trainee" doesn't need to use the disgusting little glorified bucket on the floor or go to the downstairs bathroom just to be able to go potty by herself. I went ahead and attached the little pee guard even though she doesn't really need it. I don't want to lose it and if we ever have a little boy visit it may come in handy. She has a little difficulty getting up by herself because it is a bit of a climb. She finds it easier to take her pants and underwear *completely* off to get up on the stool to use the toilet and that's ok. One downside to that is that she has a real hard time putting them back on by herself so solo toilet runs are not yet happening. Maybe when she gets a little taller she'll be able to do it. However, the little step stool we were using was NOT sufficient for her to climb up on the potty by herself and this thing really helps! She no longer has to ask an adult to help her get started with the potty process, just to finish it and for me that is OK.
