Perfect size, works very well
I kept obsessing over whether or not this would fit in my bathroom sink (which is a standard bathroom sink drain size). The measurements seemed very close to the measurements given in the images on this product page. I ordered and tried it out. Perfect fit. Works very well. It drains a little slower than I expected, but it's still quite reasonable. The whole reason I got this was because that little metal piece shallow in the pipe that lifts or lowers the stopper normally broke off for some reason. So the stopper just sunk in and I had a difficult time getting it back out. I can't use that stopper anymore since nothing is there to hold it up. So rather than leaving a large open drain, I wanted a screen or something to fix it. My first thought was making a chicken-wire screen, but that seemed way too makeshift and it might scratch the sink. So I looked on here and this thing seemed perfect. Well, it pretty much is. I'll continue using this thing (or the 2nd one that came with the order) for the rest of the lifetime of the faucet. It does require a bit of cleaning from time to time since it catches most non-liquid particles that are any larger than an ant. Like the black larger ants... not the red or brown small ones. But hey, that's fine. Works for me. Definitely worth all 7 dollars I paid for it.

Good alternative to pop up plastic stopper.
This work in our RV to replace the plastic pop up stopper that does not stay popped up. We wanted something in the hole to prevent important things from going right down the drain. This allows a good flow with some protections.

Nice steel strainers for a bathroom sink
This is a nice set of two stainless-steel sink strainers, suitably sized for many bathroom sinks. The strainers permit the use of a sink without fear of items disappearing into the drain, and they promote rapid draining of fast-flowing water. They're easy to clean, too. Overall, I've been very pleased with their performance. Just have a stopper on hand for the times that you'd like a basin full of water.

Perfect answer to my shower drain/hair clog problem
Went through lots of variations of this for my stand-up shower. The drain cover was old and corroded and finally fell off. Can't afford to get a plumber to redo the top of the drain, as it would require removing and re-piping plus retiling the area around the opening. I have very long, thick hair that really does a number with clogging drains, so I wanted not only a drain cover but also something that would catch the hair before it was a problem. Had a plumber suggest this kitchen sink drain cover, and with a little ingenuity and silicone, this works perfectly in my shower. Hasn't rusted or caused any problems, and it has enough holes to allow the water thru but catch the hair. Easy day! The beauty of this is that it's cheap, so if/when it does fail, I just need to pry it off and then silicone in the second one.

This little basket strainer is perfect for what I needed
This little basket strainer is perfect for what I needed.. The outer ring completely covers the one in the sink bottom. The inner mesh basket dropped into the hole in the sink perfectly. I like that the basket is a sturdy firm metal with large enough holes that allow the water to pass through, but will catch hair and toothpaste, etc. ...The price for 2 is very reasonable...

I like this better than the finer mesh strainers.
I wanted to try this out so I bought it. Mind you, the mesh isn't moldable as the fine mesh ones. I use this for my bathtub drain. It is easier to dump out hair and dead skin particles. With the fine mesh, the dead skin particles always gets stuck between the wires and just becomes a hassle. This strainer is better at dumping out particles. Qtip helps if you don't wanna touch the mesh part. Edit: if you have thick long curly hair like I do, hair will build up in the strainer and make the water drain slower...you might have to pull out the bundled up hair a couple of times while showering. I don’t mind this...as I’m used to it. Attached are pictures and compared the diameter to that of a quarter coin. The coin doesn't fit all the way to the bottom of the strainer. I would say it is 98% in there. I really like this purchase. Finally found the right fit for my bathtub.

STOPPED LOSING THINGS DOWN THE BATHROOM DRAIN!!!!
My husband kept dropping parts of his electric shaver down the drain as he cleaned it. At 45.00 for replacement parts ' it was maddening. Not his fault that he has big fingers; while the parts were thin and small. Looked on amazon for a solution and found these. Looked sturdier than mesh strainers and took a chance. Arrived yesterday and couldn't be happier! Fit easily in the bathroom sink drain. Problem solved!!!! Thank you!!!!!

Finally Found the Answer!
I am so pleasantly surprised with these two little gems. I have searched in hardware stores, discount stores, home big box stores and - of all places - plumbers, and no one had the right size for a simple lavatory drain. I had asked my plumber to remove the plungers from these two sinks, as they were constantly getting slowed up with accumulated hair, etc., even though I am very careful to try to keep hair from going down the drain. The new bathroom sinks are so difficult to remove the plungers, and I got tired of paying for a service call every time they were slow. I very skeptically ordered these, and Eureka!, they fit the 1 3/8” drain opening and drain very well with no modifications. The flange around the perimeter “hugs” the surrounding area, and, quite frankly, they look right “at home” on these drains. If there is one caveat it would be that there is only one color choice. I would be happier if these were available in oil-rubbed bronze to match my sink hardware.

... how many people get this excited about finding the perfect sink strainer
I wonder how many people get this excited about finding the perfect sink strainer?! But, seriously, I am so happy to have FINALLY found a strainer that fits my bathroom sink and allows the water to drain through. The small mesh strainers I've tried in the past were just a mess. These are perfect!! Thank you!

I couldn’t wait to write a review for this simple, inexpensive little product. I’ve been bragging about it to friends. Now in my seventies, I’ve been faithful over my lifetime to basic home maintenance issues—changing light bulbs, changing HVAC filters, cleaning ceiling fan blades, and, yes, even cleaning bathroom sink drains and stoppers. That latter item requires to get down on the floor with my new titanium knees, lay upside down while trying to see the plunger cap through my progressive lens glasses, and later to clean up any messy drips. Then comes the fun part of cleaning that slimy funk off of the stopper stem. Well, ladies and gentlemen, those days are over. I cleaned my stoppers for the last time, put them in a plastic bag, and stored them. I think I could trash them. Simple solution to a household necessity. WOW!!!!! (My headline above? “Keep It Simple, Stupid,” of course.)
