Flocking for Dummies

Perfect flocking for novices can be achieved if you follow seller's directions exactly as written. I did and it turned out amazing. I saved myself big bills with this diy route. I went for the lighting dusting of snow look.

It arrived super fast! Several days before I expected it! I love this product! Easy to use following the provided instructions. I got the tree I was wanting without spending $$$ on a new one. It was easy to use. It was messy but you should be prepared for that. Easy clean up.

This flock is amazing. We used it on our real tree this year and we had about a 10 foot tree. 5lbs was about the right amount. 8 lbs would have been better for our size of tree, but overall i am very happy with this product. Easy to use. Messy as expected, but made the tree just beautiful!!

Amazing for a snowy tree, very easy DIY project!

I recently saw a DIY tutorial for a flocked tree on Pinterest and I couldn't find flocking powder anywhere but Amazon. I really loved the look of artificial snowy trees, but not the price tag for trees 6 feet and up - most were atleast $150. I already had a basic 6 foot tree and thought it would be fun and more cost effective to DIY a snowy look. The powder arrived a few days after I ordered it and I picked up a sifter from Dollar Tree (didn't want to ruin the one I use for cooking), along with 2 pink plastic party table clothes to cover the floor with (also from Dollar Tree). Its easier to flock the tree inside where there is not wind, and if you put any color plastic table cloth other than white, you can see where the extra powder falls on the floor and not step in it. The process can get a bit messy and I highly recommend you wear clothes and socks that you don't care to get dirty. Once wet the powder can be really sticky and I stepped in it quite a few times before wearing socks. If your tree is not prelit I would recommend flocking it with the lights on so the lights look more blended into the snow. Some powder does get on the lights, but they still shine through the powder. The entire process was really easy and once done I let it sit overnight and it looked so glamorous the next day! For a slimmer 6 foot tree I used maybe 60% of the 5-pound bag of powder, and I did a heavily flocked look.

I've always wanted a flocked tree but ours was in wonderful condition and it didn't make sense to purchase another. Plus they're pricey! This was extremely easy and the results were fantastic. It took us maybe 20 minutes. We did not use a sifter. We bought a cheap water bottle. My fiancé sprayed while I "threw." I liked the heavy look in spots and this worked great. After we were all done we went over the entire tree generously with water to lock it in. Very little shedding throughout the season, however, we had "dust" on our furniture after flocking we had to clean. Didn't have a yard to do it in since we live in an apartment. It was absolutely worth the clean up. We used probably a third of the bag. LOVE!

Amazing product

Love it, it was very easy to use. I just slightly spray the whole tree with my outdoor water hose. ( make sure u only slightly spray , not to wet) then used my hand to throw the powder evenly on the branches until it got to the thickness that I like. I tried the sifter as some people suggest but it was slow and annoying so I used my hand instead After that I slightly sprinkle the tree one more time and then let it dry for 24 hours . Make sure you do not let it become too wet because it will lose the fluffiness. It came out beautiful, i love it.

This product worked awesome and was super simple to use. I flocked my 7 FT artificial slim tree and I only used about 1 LB of the flock. This was my first attempt and I was afraid to try it but it was a breeze. Followed included instructions. Very happy with the result and I would recommend to anyone.
