I always preferred the non-coated, heavier aebleskiever pan, but the ease and weight of the Upstreet cast iron pan with the easy-clean cups will be my new favorite! There is no need to season it after each use and the aebleskievers seem to bake more evenly. Too, it's half the cost of the other one.

Just finished making our first batch of german pancakes. Pan held up well. Grip we especially nice as it made it easy to lift and maneuver a traditionally heavy pan. Pro tip: make sure you have enough oil in each hole. It helps not burn the German pancakes as well as make sure they cook all the way thru.

This is a really nice pan and it cooks well. I would recommend a good spray on it and then it turns out real well. I almost forgot that it came with the rubber grip I found it in the box with it which was a nice surprise. I'm also going to take this camping with me and while everyone else eats oatmeal I'll be dining at a five star restaurant!!

The pan is cleanly cast and took seasoning well. You have to have it "just so" on our gas stove top as the bottom isn't flat. Once it's in place, a small disher and a pair of chopsticks are useful but not esential. A little experimentation with time and temperature and we were in business. Note, the silicon grip gets hot if left fully on.

It works great. I seasoned it like I do to my cast iron skillets. I also use butter in each hole. No sticking. I like to make the vanilla batter and serve with a drizzle of melted butter and a strawberry sauce. Even my husband eats them.

Washed it, seasoned it, and used it! Works great on stove or over the campfire! Silicon handle works ok for just moving it off the burner, but not for holding on to it for long periods. For the money, if you want to experiment with making aebleskivers, it is a great value!! We now LOVE aebleskivers, we make them all summer at the cabin, and my next pan will be one with a wooden handle.

Thank you Amazon for providing the best quality Paddu (made with Semolina) maker. This cast iron Aebleskiver Pan just made my day. It is made up of good quality and best part is never rusts. To avoid rusting just make sure before using apply oil on the pan so the food doesn't stick, after using this cast iron pan make sure to wash it with mild hot water, pat dry and immediately apply any cooking oil. This will protect from rusting and the cast iron pan lasts forever. A little precaution leads to happy & safe cooking.

Excellent quality. Worked great. We followed the seasoning steps before use. During the first attempt at cooking Poffertjes I noticed a little sticking, but the recipe we were using called for brushing melted butter in the wells before pouring in batter. For the subsequent batches I sprayed a little PAM across the wells and this seemed to work better. Took a little while for us to get acquainted with the wooden utensils, which never using before we soon became old pro's at rolling the Poffertjes over in the wells. This Poffertjes we made are to accompany my daughter's final school project on the Netherlands. We both learned a lot from this endeavor and enjoyed cooking together. They were delicious and I'm sure we'll be trying different "Dutch Donuts" recipes in the near future. My only complaint is the silicon sleeve on the handle doesn't insulate very well. Does its job at protecting you from inadvertent burns while holding handle to move skillet, but if cooking for a while may still want to use an oven mitt, etc.

We got this to make a south indian dish(panigaram).Works perfectly.Love it

Excellent! Heavy cast-iron pan, which is ideal for making the delicious ebelskivers. Pan arrives omplete with directions on how to season. Red handle is removable - it’s a silicone pot-holder for the handle. I love it that it includes the turning sticks. I was pleasantly surprised by the heft of the pan because IMO the photos make it look less substantive. Pan arrived quickly and is already in use.
