I make bread 2-3 times a week. This was bought to replace an existing bread maker from another manufacturer that had died. Love this new machine! Stainless is beautiful, easy to use and the bread turns out great. I leave it out on the counter for easy access and looks very nice. Very happy with it!

update 11/11/18

On 10/03/18 when I selected "dough" function, I found the dough was very hot during kneading and it's extremely sticky (I always mix flour with cold water), which means the dough was in over kneaded status. The reason is the pan is abnormal hot when kneading, so the dough is already rinsing in advance during kneading, and thus dough tears easily and doesn't have extensibility which is necessary for toast bread, and this is not reversible. When I received this machine, it can make good dough. This problem just started when Amazon return window has closed (10/04/18) and it seems it's getting worse and worse. Now my bread machine could not make dough after using several times, not mention bread. Update 11/11/18: I didn't contact customer service and figured it out by myself. Now I'm making bread every week and it works good. I would give it 4.5 star but basing on the price it worth 5 as long as it won't broken. A couple of minor issues: 1. the machine is moving a little bit when kneading if flour is >300g, 2. lid came off once and I reinstall it.

Get ready for a change

It’s been an adjustment going from hand made to bread machine but it’s getting better. It comes with a few recipes but I don’t keep powdered milk around so I had to find something else.

I bought this mainly for making pizza dough, but tried bread and it is wonderful too! If you are making homemade pizza, get this, trust me, it turned my pizzas from good to WOW overnight. I use the pizza dough recipe in the included book, though I add a little sugar (for the yeast to eat) and a good deal of onion and garlic powder, just because I enjoy it that way. There is nothing much better than loading it at night and setting it so there is fresh hot bread first thing in the morning! One hint -- get an electric bread-cutting knife, makes a world a difference.

Happy with gluten free results.

Purchased for my wife, she has a gluten sensitivity. We're were buying frozen Udi's gluten-free at Costco but when they changed loaf sized I started looking elsewhere. I ended up ordering the Hamilton Beach 29885 bread maker, and so far we are very happy. We have both made a gluten free loaf, not only are they taller resulting in larger slices for toast or sandwiches but she's very happy with the improved taste. She got me to try a slice and I have to say I was impressed too. We are so please with the machine I'm planning on buying a second tray so I can make standard bread for myself, to make sure we don't cross contaminated.

Easy to use, superior results!

Fantastic machine! This is my third bread machine and my first Hamilton-Beach. Superior results over the previous machines. The very first loaf was perfect even though I had to make a substitution in the recipe, and I was making gluten-free bread, which can be very temperamental. Much easier to use than previous machines, including one that was substantially more expensive. Very happy with this product and highly recommend it. UPDATE: Second loaf of bread was even better than the first because I followed the directions more closely.

This is a stable and quiet dough maker.

I only use this bread maker to make bread and pizza dough. I love it. The pizza dough recipe associated with this machine is also simpler and healthier than my previous bread maker pizza dough recipe. This machine is much quieter than many bread machines I've had. What I love most about this is that it is very stable. It does not "walk" or "jump" around on the table. My previous bread machine fell off the kitchen island (and gouged a hole in my wood floor) because it had "walked" off the table during the mixing & kneading cycle even though I had placed it in the middle of the island -- a foot and half from the edge. I don't use this machine to bake, so I cannot give a review on that feature, sorry.
