It works exactly as advertised and its great the night vision works perfectly! It duos require a stronger IR flashlight easily rectified with a E bay IR flash light for like 15 bux

Super awesome device

Absolutely brilliant. I recommend this for everybody, hunter or not, to use with a gun or not. As a simple IR camera that feeds to a screen the thing is amazing. Resolution is sharp, suspend your disbelief, I mean sharp when you dial it in correctly. Get yourself a blanket and you could become one mean, unseen, coyote slaying machine.

Best bang for the buck.

This thing is awesome. Didnt even use instructions and took ~30 minutes to set up. Only arrived yesterday and its already worth its weight in gold. I already had some 18650 batteries and cr123 from other torches. Sadly my wifes dashund was killed by a predator when she let it out around 0445 yesterday. This has already allowed me to find and dispatch the culprit with extreme prejudice. If you are on the fence buy this! You won't regret it. Currently mounted on my .25 pcp airgun but plan on ordering more for my firearms. As an added bonus I can see my shots in the monitor as they are ~880 fps. Clear as tracers in fact. Take your time adjusting focus and scope paralax.

Rotate counter clockwise for IR

Put screws into a low cost scope. Use an external illuminator closer to the problem. Perfect for PCP.

The unit works well

This unit works well for the price range I am happy with the unit , the instruction translations leave a lot to be desired but it's easy to figure out how to set it up, best scope add-on is very dependent on the quality of your scope the larger your lens the more light it will let, the more light in, the better the camera works. it comes with two different tubes to fit your scope the first tube with a compression fitting doesn't work very well for my scope and I can't see that it would stay in place very well with a higher powered rifle other than an air rifle, the scope with the set screws works very well and is very stable I had to add longer screws for the tube to get it to center on the crosshairs, the camera focuses well and the set screw ensures that stays put, the flashlight it comes with zooms very well and lights are pretty good at a hundred yards but there is no way to aim the flashlight the match the scope, Im personally am going to add a more powerful IR flashlight,

Affordable night vision, but its in the name "DIY"!

I was going to give it 5 stars, but the torch that came with it gave almost no illumination. So pay attention it all works just fine however you are going to need to buy additional torch or torches and have a way to mount them and you are going to need some quality rechargeable batteries for the unit and the torches. At the time i purchased i was able to get the Garberiel 6000mAh 3.7v anyhow my experience comes with a couple of missteps first i have a UTG scope with 36 color lit reticle and the scope is great except the hood for the light system leaves little room for mounting purchase so my advice make sure you have like 3/4" of eyepiece for mount. My first try i turned on supplied torch and it was like nothing then i switched on additional torch using 2 18650 in 940nm pill and it worked clearly to about 50yds and not so clear but usable to 75yds. I would recommend lighting except i have yet to try 850nm pill or other lights and i have recently seen cheaper lights in that 850nm range available in multiple pills and far cheaper here so your lighting choices are many and i plan on trying both ranges and combining ranges. As this is truly a DIY kit and keep in mind the light included has extremely limited range you should just consider whatever aux torch you buy as your only source of light. I did not have good expectations for the system, but with a good 2nd torch it worked better than i expected. Truthfully i cannot stress the point enough the performance of this system is only going to be as good as the additional lighting you purchase. I did this just to try and see what i might get with very low expectations and i am not at all sure how it would stand up to recoil for instance my rimfire just fine, but HP rifle or worse magnum springer air rifle i don't think that would be advisable. A shame its not a camera as i could see just constructing a rail for scope and lighting & mounting it would perhaps make spending more on lighting worth spending even more.

IR light,. The bigger it is the better you can see

Great for the price. I purchased a better IR light (Evolva T67) and I'm able to take shots at 200+ yards. The only issue that I found so far is that when you zoom in using the rifle scope it's gets extremely blurry and very hard to identify a Target. Also the 18650 batteries did not fit in the battery pack I had to cut some of the plastic away to make room. I have tried adjusting things and I can't get it to clear up when zoomed in to the full power of the scope. Other than that you can take something as small as a fox or a coyote at 200 yards with a good IR light no problem. All around I would recommend this kit especially if you're not wanting to spend the time and money to build your own.

Five stars for the price you pay, worth every dime

There are lots of mixed reviews on this after using this product I was very excited to leave a review. My years was for deer hunting, 30 minutes before in 30 minutes after sunset, which is the rules in my state. After about 10 minutes after sunset my scope is no longer usable because there’s not enough light. For dark twilight this product works very well up to about 200 yards. Even better it is very accurate. Best of all you’re able to takeoff the back camera quickly so you don’t need to use the screen during daylight hours. Install takes 45 seconds. The initial set up with the IRS and the screen take a little longer but to really emphasize you’re able to use the scope normally put those I am still attached. Between the tape they provided and the plastic shims it work pretty well. It’s not the best mounting system but it absolutely get the job done and for the price and the flexibility I am absolutely five star thrilled
