Jaco to the Rescue!
My Little Husky tire inflator died yesterday afternoon in the middle of airing my SUV tires. It was not the greatest inflator because it had one of those snap on connectors which often let out a few pounds of air before you got it snapped on correctly. It also was missing some key features which I knew I wanted in my new tire inflator. Well, JACO came to the rescue today. Here are the features JACO has which I Now know are really important to have: 1) screw on connector rather than snap on to get good air seal. The snap on failed on my last one and drained so much air out of one tire I didn’t want to drive the SUV till the tire was aired up; 2) automatic shut off which turns off unit when the correct tire pressure is reached; 3) digital readout of tire pressure so you don’t have to keep disconnecting unit and reconnecting it to check tire pressure; 4) fast filling of air into tire; 5) very nice to have ability to use either house electric or car power to air tires. All these features make the Jaco unit a really excellent choice if you need a home tire inflator. It sure beats airing your tires in the snow at a gas station in the winter. This jaco unit does cost more than my last tire inflator, but it’s so worth it! It is so so much easier and much faster airing up the tires with this Jaco unit. I used to dread using the last inflator. This one is a breeze! And I didn’t have to baby sit it due to the auto shut off when the correct tire pressure is reached. Only took about a minute to go from 25 to 35pounds. Thanks, Jaco!

Works great!
Good news is that it works exactly as described. Pumps air in the tire so fast. Hardly any wait at all and much faster than those machines at the gas stations. Bad news is that the adapter that plugs into the car is attached to the compressor, so if something happens to the cord, you have to buy a new compressor. The electrical plug that comes with it doesn't reach very far from the vehicle so you would need an extension cord to plug it into an outlet. I do recommend it, because In my area of Florida they charge $1.50 for 3 minutes of air and most of the machines are broken. The one I found that worked had a homeless man sleeping beside it which was the reason I bought this compressor. Jayco has excellent customer service t. I do recommend this machine.

This Inflator is very innovative, and easy to use.
My wife and I absolutely love this Tire Inflator…. we both have bicycles, and over the winter the air in the tires dropped below 10 psi. The recommended pressure was 40 - 65 psi…. and I set the psi to 45 psi. and it worked beautifully…. thank you for the very informative tip on how to reset the psi. on the Inflator…. My wife took the Inflator over to a neighbor’s home this afternoon, to inflate the neighbor's bicycle tires, it is very simple to use. We are both retired, and we do a lot of bike riding in our neighborhood. The Inflator will also be very helpful if the psi. drops in our automobile tires. Thanks again for a FANTASTIC machine.

Worth having more than one of these. Highly Recommended.
Nice inflator. It will pump up bicycles, auto tires (a bit slowly--not suitable for setting a bead), as well as basketballs. I also use it for blowing out water in my RV. What I like. Size: Compact, easy to store. Light weight and portable. Travel size. Many adapters. Can run off AC or DC. I mostly use it on DC. LED light on the front. Carrying pouch with AC cord. Carrying case is nice Great gift idea. I wish I had more than one of these.

I used it yesterday to air up the tires on ...
Updated after a few months: A few months ago I bought this after a frustrating experience trying to air up the tires on my truck at a gas station. A week later I was telling myself that I should've saved my money because it would take a LOT of $1.50 air station fill ups for it to pay for itself. Now? WORTH EVERY PENNY! Flat tire on my trailer, filled at the barn! Low air in my car, filled at my parking spot. Top off all the truck tires, done! The only thing that would make this better is a longer 12V cord as it can't reach my trailer tires even with a 12V extension cord. However, if there is an electric outlet, I just need a regular extension cord. Otherwise, odds are if I'm filling a trailer tire, it is already off of my trailer so I can roll it to my truck! ************************** Original review I used it yesterday to air up the tires on my F250 truck and on my horse trailer. This will not win a speed contest, but the ability to screw the air hose on to the tire valve means that speed isn't critical since you don't have to baby sit it. I hooked it up to a tire that was about 15/20 PSI low, and then cleaned out the cab of my truck. When it shut off, I moved to the next tire, fired it up and then cleaned out the bed of my truck etc. I bought a 12' extension cord for the DC hookup, and without that extension, I would've been unable to inflate the rear tires of my truck. If you want to be able to air up a tire on an hitched trailer, you will likely need a 20' extension cord.

Various minor details.
There are so many good reviews here that I hate to clutter it up any further. Here are my points: 1. If you ride a bicycle, you know that losing even 2 or 3 pounds of pressure over time will make the bike MUCH harder to pedal. 2. Similarly, keeping our car tires properly inflated will INCREASE mileage; everyone agrees. 3. Now that cars are increasingly equipped with "Run-Flat" tires, which gets rid of the weight and space taken up by the spare, they are also equipped with "low pressure" warnings. These pop up at the worst possible times, usually in a desert heat wave or winter blizzard. 4. Older pumps made you hold the air-chuck against the valve stem. This one does not -- you screw it on, turn it on, and go away. 5. This unit operates on 12v DC, and 120v AC also. Most other units don't. When running on AC, yes, there is a fan that cools the transformer, not to worry. 6. This was so much fun that I immediately inflated my wife's tires too. 7. This was so much fun that my friend immediately ordered one too, even tho he had an older non-screw-on unit. 8. I suggest sitting on a foot-stool to comfort your aching knees. No more squatting down in the toxic crankcase ooze at the corner gas station, waiting for others ahead of you, and digging for quarters. 9. EXCELLENT portable compressor. Very fast, very substancial. Not too big. Pressure gauge is very accurate,
Exactly what i needed. The option to use line current (120V) from the house is great. Was VERY fast in inflating the tires using 120V. I was amazed how accurate the compressor's pressure gauge is. I measured the pressure in the tires using TWO independent pressure gauges and then with the pressure gauge on the compressor. Surprisingly, all THREE gauges gave the SAME reading at 35 psi. Extremely accurate. I can trust this one, unlike the gauges on some other cheaper portable compressors that I have had. Comes in a nice, very well designed fabric case to keep everything together. I keep it in the car. The worst thing is to need to fix a flat and the spare tire is low on pressure. This compressor goes up to 60 psi which is what the "donut" spare tire on my car requires so i can inflate it if needed. I will be getting a second one for the other car.

This is the best portable tire inflator I've ever purchased
This is the best portable tire inflator I've ever purchased. (I've probably gone through half a dozen over the years.) It inflates tires quickly, it's easy to use, and its compact, with a nice carry case. I especially like the digital gauge that shows the pressure as it pumps air into the tire. I usually don't recommend products, but this is an exception. Thank you JACO.

comes In a nice fabric carrying case with an AC connector
The JACO does exactly what I want - an inflator to accurately maintain the air pressure in the tires, including the donut spares. One particular tire has a very slow leak requiring a couple of pounds of pressure each week. It takes just a minute or two to add a few pounds to a tire. After connecting to a power source, I just set the desired pressure, screw on the connecting hose and turn on the power switch. The Jaco stops once the tire reaches the desired pressure. The unit seems well made, comes In a nice fabric carrying case with an AC connector, an auto lighter/accessory cable & plug, and two additional inflating plugs for sports balls and air mattresses. There is an LED light which can provide nighttime or to serve as flashing warning. I love it!

Great product!
Finally used this. Not sure why I thought it had a battery I had to charge up! Anyway it is exactly what I wanted. A unit I could use at home in my garage. I hate the compressors at the gas stations. The cords keep snapping back, it runs out of air way before I’m done, it is in a awkward location and there is no protection from the weather. And I’m never sure if I truly got the right amount of air in. The JACO comes in a nice nylon zip case with a carrying handle. It seems well made and the instructions were fairly basic. I did watch the video online. The hardest part was getting the cords tucked back in- which wasn’t very hard. The unit does have a cord to use with the lighter plug. It looks like it is long enough but I am not going to unwind it as it is so neatly coiled up. I’m not sure I will travel with it. (I would not fill my tire on the side of the road in a strange location as I have AAA). Using A/C the tires filled up fairly quickly. Added 9 PSI in a minute at most. I’m over 60 but I have always hate hate hated to fill my tires. Hopefully this will continue working for many years. I know how important tire pressure is and my car does not have a gauge for low pressure.
