2010 Green Sahara Unlimited

It has a heavy, dense-metal weight when you take it out of the box. It does not look cheap on the Jeep. And it does not shift around when you are opening and closing it or when you are driving around. I like it. The instructions were simple drawings of steps 1 through 10 without words or descriptions. The drawings where difficult for me to figure out and I didn't have the patience to try. So I mostly used common sense to quickly install it. Since I was in a rush, I accidentally broke off the tiny little plastic pin during installation. I didn't notice it was there. I thought for sure it was going to shift around without the pin since I read other reviews complaining that the thing moves around after installing it. After I completed the installation by tightening the screws tightly, everything was snug and tight. It was about a 10 minute easy install process, including the removal of the previous door that came with the Jeep when I bought it.

Keeps the winter snow out of the filler area.

A very nice subdued addition to my Jeep. Doesn't jump out at you but is very classy looking and best of all it keeps the snow out of the filler area, which is what I was looking for. Took a bit of work to install but wasn't overly difficult and it seems to be well made. I am very happy with it.

It took me approximately 5 minutes to complete the installation and it looks better than the factory cover that came on my Jeep

There was already a factory installed gas cap cover on my Jeep with the door broken off at the hinge. I used the existing inner frame and attached new outer cover with the door using the Allen screws provided. It took me approximately 5 minutes to complete the installation and it looks better than the factory cover that came on my Jeep.

Looks great

Nice looking addition to cover up the open gas cap on the 09 Jeep JK. Was a little bit of a pain to install, the picture instructions are not very good. Watched a You Tube video on how to install and made it much easier. For the price this is well made and looks great. I would recommend.

Couple of tips

Once you get the two clips undone and have the old housing away from the body of the Jeep give the housing a yank toward the back bumper and the front two clips will disengage . After I got the old Gas insert loose I used a water pump pliers to remove the old gasket. Installed the new gasket on the new housing and used a touch of petroleum jelly on the new gasket. Positioned the new insert and slowly worked one edge of the gasket over the filler neck, the rest of the gasket slipped into place.

fit perfectly on my 2016 jku, install was easy, small plastic pin was there to hold it in place as well, just don’t break it when installing.
