I was given one of these pointers and totally love it. I decided to buy 15 of them to give to my fellow cat volunteers as special thank-you gifts. (The occasion is not important to this review.) Since there had been reviews about problems with the charging port, as a precaution I personally charged each of the 15 pointers with its own charging cord --- after checking to make sure all three lights were working. EVERY SINGLE POINTER was functional and was easily charged! The port is not as sturdy as the one on your phone. Why would you expect it to be? If you fail to align the mini usb plug with the port and then proceed to use force to try to make it fit, IT WILL BREAK. DUH! Remember nursery school? Round pegs go into round holes; square pegs go into square holes. Well, it is the same principle --- the rounded side of the plug goes into the rounded side of the port. Not rocket science, guys! I made up mini instruction sheets, with pictures, and included them in the metal case that each pointer comes in. I included the caution BE GENTLE. Everyone totally loves the pointers --- especially the cats!

I love this comes in a storage case. It came charged and lasted quite awhile before needing recharged. You aren't supposed to plug this into an AC adapter and then into an electrical receptacle; it warns against that, that those are too high in voltage. So I simply plug mine into my desktop USB port and that's a slow enough charge I don't worry. I also love that it's 3 lights in one: laser light, flashlight and UV light for checking for pee where it shouldn't be. And those of you who complained about the charging cable not fitting----there's one way and if you can't tell the difference, maybe you need to see an eye doctor.

I have had several different types of laser pointers for the cats over the years and this is the best. I love the ability to keep the light on without having to hold it, as well as the rechargeable option. The ultraviolet light helps identify cat spots that can't be seen otherwise. The spunky flashlight is stronger than I had expected and I like the clear circle of light it produces. The most important thing of all is that our cats love the "red bug" and this gives them unending pleasure chasing it. Seeing them happy makes me happy so it's a win-win. Thank you for a great product!

Great laser pointer for exercising my kitties. Much brighter than cheaper models. I have had it for almost two months and I haven't had to recharge it yet despite almost daily use. You do not have to continually hold the button down which is really nice. Came quickly and well packaged. It's tiny but has a little heft to it making it feel more sturdy and substantial than cheapie dollar store models. Would recommend and would buy again if I ever need to :)

Charge lasts for weeks! The product came charged and we used it a lot for 3 weeks before it needed it's first charge. After 3 months we have only charged it 2 times. The flashlight feature comes in handy when searching for cat toys that go under the sofa or frig. You don't have to hold down the slide switch so it's easy to play and not get your thumb tired. It's still easy to slide on and off quickly if you like to make it disappear in front of the cats. This laser dot is more focussed than our cheap KONG brand laser (which also ate batteries). Definitely recommended.

So far I've only used it once but it seems to be a pretty good laser light and my cat loved it. What I like about it is it has an on and off switch so you don't have to hold down the button. It also has a flashlight which is nice. But the best feature of it all is no batteries to replace instead you plug it in. the main reason why I got it was the on and off switch but it was just bonus to have a plug-in charge feature. So if your cats like laser lights I'm pretty sure they'll love this.

The following opinion is unsolicited review from Kolohe, Denzel and Whisky. YIPPEE! We love this! The sneaky thing about this laser pointer is that the switch is totally quiet, so the laser dot just shows up ANYWHERE without any forewarning. And it goes all over the place. Great exercise; besides loads of fun, we may even lose a bit of weight and start toning up the abs! The old laser thingies (several different types) always clicked on, so we knew what was coming. Not with this one! (And mum loves it because it doesn't require those stupid batteries - just a recharge via USB when needed - and so far, it hasn't been needed in spite of daily usage!) Oh, and we forgot to mention, it also highlights the bad areas where we might have marked our territory, or left remnants of a fur ball. (oops!)
