Works flawlessly

I bought some fancy-shmancy dusk-to-dawn light bulbs with motion sensors a month or two ago for the fixture outside my front door, but they just weren't working. I was trying to save some electricity by not having them lit all the time, but guess what--coming in and out of the door literally a foot away from the sensor and not having it light up was a serious pain in the tush. Plus, I'm a single female living alone, and I do everything I can to increase my security. Having these bulbs always on when it's dark out is worth it to me. It's always lit up when I come and go at night, which makes dealing with keys and steps and grocery bags and whatever else so much easier and safer. And it turns off during the day when it's not needed without me having to do a thing. No timers, no constantly remembering to flip the switch or cursing because I forgot to turn the light on/off. Easy.

PERFECT

I've been using these for about three weeks now and absolutely love them. I bought three, two for the outdoor sconces on either side of my front door, and one for the outdoor sconce at the side door (all of our outdoor fixtures are glass with black covers and black metal supports on either side, so not entirely transparent). They are dusk-to-dawn, not motion sensing (is this listing offering motion sensing, too?), but they do work outdoors and do work within a few feet of each other, which were all negative issues I had seen on other bulb reviews. We leave the light switches on before we head off to work in the morning, and when we return during these early winter evenings, the lights are bright enough to get from the car to the door with solid visibility. They do not stay lit during daylight. I will definitely buy these again in the future as long as they don't burn out too quickly.

Nice Bright Light for Lamp Post

I have a Lamp Post outside my house. The lamp post has a sensor in it which has failed twice in 10 years. So I decided to try these Dawn to Dusk bulbs for the lamp post. The shade around the light post is made of a heavy opaque plastic. Didn't think these light bulbs would work in the post and wouldn't produce enough light but they did. The light bulb produces a nice warm light but also lights up my walkway. I always use to shut off my lamp post breaker but now only using 7watts of electricity I keep the lamp post light on. No more replacing the lamp post sensor. Good purchase.

I was a skeptic. But these are awesome!!

I was skeptical about how much light these would produce and if the color of the LED lights would be warm and flattering. These are fantastic!! Nice and bright, nice color, come on when it gets dark and stay on until the sunrise. I bought 1 set of 2 for my garage door lights since that light switch is not in a convenient location to use on a regular basis. We put them in and saw them come on at night. They looked so great I immediately went online and bought another set of 2 to replace my front porch lights as well so the light colors match. Highly recommend! One word of caution -- be very careful which bulbs you are ordering (motion activated bulbs vs the dawn to dusk bulbs). My first order came incorrectly so had to return/replace. It was easy switch but still good to know.

Really needed these for my front & back porch. When they arrived I was excited, especially when they automatically lit up at dusk. One bulb worked quit working after the first night. I contacted the company and they promptly sent me a new bulb. I have had these for 6 months, they are bright & very efficient. I will definitely purchase again from Vgogfly.

Wonderful!

I had my front porch light on a schedule, through a wi-fi TP-LINK bulb. It always needed tweaking when the time changed, and if the power went out or it lost wi-fi it would just stay on for days at a time until we noticed something was amiss. I switched it to this, at a fraction of the cost, and have had no problems so far. Stays on at night, turns off during the day. No problems. I also had another outdoor light with a photosensor, but the sensor for the socket is in pretty bad shape and the light would just stay on all the time. I switched the bulb out for one of these (they came in a two pack) and fixed that problem too. The photosensor in the bulb makes up for the inadequacies of the photosensor in the socket and all is well. I wish I had more outlets needing day/night sensing so I could buy another two pack.

Solved the problem!!

I initially bought two bulbs for the front and the back of the house. The "dusk to dawn" adapters (you screw that into the socket and the regular light bulb into the adapter) I bought years ago died. Found these and decided to not replace the adapters. They are great. I am so happy I don't have to remember to turn the lights off in the morning and remember to turn them on at dark. I work 2nd shift, so it is great that they are on when I get home about 1:15 AM. About two weeks after putting these on the house, the light timer for the garage lights crapped out (it was probably 24 years old). So had that removed and we were thinking of having a "dusk to dawn" fixture installed on the outside of the garage. Decided to try these light bulbs first. They arrived yesterday (while at work!) so got them into the fixtures today and voilà! lights came on at 4:11 PM today. (I have the night off so I was home to see them come on.) So far, so good. I'm anxious to see how long they last and how they hold up to a Midwest winter.

Easiest improvement to our home

We would often forget to turn off our front porch light in the morning before we left for work. We also had no way to turn it on if we planned to be home late. This was the cheapest, easiest way for us to solve this problem. All we do now is leave our switch on and don’t worry about it! Not sure if it still draws electric since it is technically sensing light or darkness all the time but at 8 watts I don’t worry.

Best Invention Ever!

Just received these yesterday and installed in all 3 outdoor porch lights. Worked as described. No timers to worry about. No worrying about turning the porch lights on, or, did I forget to turn them off? Pretty cool invention, light sensitive light bulbs! Got up at 4:30am this morning and tgeyre all on. Went off as dawn approaced just like described. Will update or write another review in a few months to see how they hold up
