Works as Designed
it has been very useful tool in making sure my home infrastructure is as top notch as I can make it so I'm not charged or blamed by the cable company, like RCN recently tried. Too bad I can't afford the higher end test to not only test for continuity but signal levels. But I rate this top notch for what I need it for.

Outstanding
This little jewel saved me countless hours of work. A friend/relative has a custom house he built over 20 years ago at approximately 7,000 sq. ft. Cables all come into a closet in the second floor. There was a complete run to each room on with over 20 cables multiple splitters, amps etc. Within 2 hours of arriving I was able to identify all cables. Three were open so had to reterminate. One large power amp and every location had the ability to get cable. He never had that before. Went to the rooms slapped one of each color at four locations. Found them labeled and moved on. Great product.

Saved a novice like me so much time (and saved my wifes patience level with me!)
This is exactly what it says it is and works great! Don't make it harder than it is. Plug in the little ends then plug the main unit and it tells you, by color, what is a straight run and what isn't. Worth the money and aggravation. Probably will only ever use it once, but if I ever need it again (or if a friend does) then it's right there in the tool box!

Quick and easy to use!
The most difficult thing about this tool is getting it out of the stubborn plastic packaging. Otherwise, it could not be easier to use! Just moved into a new house that was pre-wired with coax outlets in multiple rooms and the attic. After wasting a lot of time with trial and error to manually map each cable, a friend recommended this tool. Was so easy to use and took me all of 10 minutes to map all the coax cables in our “smart box” to their corresponding outlets in each room. Now I can watch this weekend’s Ryder Cup with my attic-mounted Mohu HD antenna!

A Great Time Saver
When we built our home we had it wired throughout with Ethernet and Coaxial cables. We have a Leviton panel in the basement. While it's not too difficult to track which panel numbers connect to Ethernet jacks in different rooms, it's not so easy with Coaxial cables. Purchased this Klein tester and it was simple to trace Coaxial cables. Also, I highly recommend getting this unit because you can trace up to 4 locations at once. Great tool that saved me a lot of time.

Works well but measures only electrical resistance
Very simple and easy to use. These measure only resistance, and the tester comes with 4-different terminator plugs, each a different resistance. It's easy to trace cables in good working order. If there is any kind of defect in the cable causing a variation in resistance, the product could give false readings. I used this product to trace the old RG59 cables in a 40 year old home. The house had weird splitters that really messed up the readings. I had to disconnect all the splitters everywhere in the house before I could get accurate readings. Once that was done, it was easy to trace the cables.

Get This
As a "cable guy" for 6 years - I wish I had access to this tool since day one. It is, literally, the single most handy cable tracing device I have ever used. It is designed well for simple ease of use and it is built for durability. My only rub with it is the cost - which is likely why Comcast stuck us with "crack pipe" toners for so many years. But, this is the classic example of you get what you pay for - added to - time is money. Those cheaper crack pipe toners will fail eventually, they will mis-tone eventually, they will "blow" when you accidentally put them on a powered satellite line. And, you will be spending 4x the man hours walking up and down flights of stairs with them single-toning every line. None of which you'll be doing with this toner. I purchased this and have cut my site time in half with just the one tool.

Great Product & Time Saver
I should have purchased something like this years ago! Makes it easy and convenient to test and trace coaxial cables. Having multiple resistors (4 color-coded terminators) is very nice as you can identify multiple lines as the same time. Very easy to use - just attach the cable and press the button. I love that the terminators are attached to the device, however, I do wish it was a little easier to get them in and out of the holder - it seems to take more effort than it should. It would be nice if it emitted a sound to verify a positive connection, but I knew it didn't have that feature when I bought it. I chose the multiple terminators over the sound, and I'm glad I did.

Time and Effort Saver
This tool saved me a lot of time, effort, and frustration when I moved our DirectTV Genie control box from the upstairs living room to the downstairs family room. Our whole house was wired for cable TV by the builder, but a previous home home owner disconnected the cable junction down in the basement and didn't label any of the loose coax cables going to the different rooms. The loose cable ends were just laying there in a bundle. This tool was easy to use and helped me identify the correct coax cable to the family room with little effort. Like a lot of these specialty tools, I probably won't need it again for a long while, but it was worth it for me nevertheless.

Great little tester.
This is great for figuring out which cable line comes from the bedroom, office, etc. I only needed two of the test "ends", but they worked great and helped me figure out what was going on with my cable TV wiring. I was also able to trace from the antenna down to the junction box and determine that I had a bad connector along the way. Great little tester for cable lines.
