I bought this for a friend in a nursing facility. It is perfect for her because it is light weight and not too big plus it has a pencil holder not all do. She is very small and it isn't heavy on her little legs. She sits for hours doing her word search puzzles comfortably.

Perfection. I am using it for lap applique and am able to fit a clip on light to the side ( Tranya brand $9. Bought on amazon with this). The lap desk is smaller than a laptop but bigger than a craft book. It is the perfect weight and the underside has cushions that my leg rest between. There is a product for applique call the lap app and I know someone who has it. I find this to work better for myself more stable and again I can clip a rechargeable light to it and have enough room for a large project.

Love it! I'm an early riser, before dawn. I make a mug of coffee and come upstairs to the second floor cozy toasty back room to sit in my glider rocker where I say my prayers, do crosswords and cryptograms and write checks.

It’s very lightweight which is perfect for me to use at home but also great if I decide to travel with it. I wanted something for my laptop that wasn’t big and heavy or overly fancy. My laptop gets hot with the fan on after 5 minutes if it’s on my legs. I just got done using this for the first time with my laptop for 2 hours and it worked great. Padding didn’t bother my legs at all and the laptop didn’t overheat. I’ll also throw in that I enjoy the color. I got the rose quartz and it seems more of a light peach pink color than pink. Subtle and one of my favorite colors. Very happy with this. Thanks!

I got this after a lot of looking for lap desks (I already own a couple) because: It's small: no bigger than I need for my iPad pro plus keyboard. The surface is flat, with only a pen groove. The texture is smooth, too, so it doesn't affect writing or drawing and a silicone sticky pad keeps things like my phone from sliding off. There's no lip around the edge. The edges are slightly rounded so that if my wrists rest there, I don't get red lines on my delicate princess skin. (Joking aside, resting your forearm on a ridge is uncomfortable.) It's also just more attractive. Those three things fixed the problems I'd had with my other plastic lap desks. I thought I'd have to get an expensive wood one, but this was well priced and is well made. 100% happy with this purchase.

I purchased this lap desk because the one I bought last year seemed to be "deflating." That one was from Target, so wasn't the same, but got me onto the idea that I really like having the lap desk for my Microsoft Surface Pro (Tablet/Laptop). This desk is all that and so much more than that one was! The two channels of the styrofoam "beanbag beans" keep it in the correct place, rather than shifting all over like my other one did (it only had one big section with all of the "beans" in it). The table surface is a great size, about 1" wider on each side, and the sort of "notch" at the top is the perfect size to rest the easel back of the tablet. The keyboard (I used the original Microsoft one) does extend over the desk on the front about 1" (depending in tablet viewing angle), but it's not bad...still perfectly usable that way. Overall, I'm super happy with my purchase!

I bought this laptop desk for unconventional purposes. I needed something to use in my car for lunch and occasional working. I would NOT use this item for my laptop. I see that's the most popular way to use this, but my laptop and my mouse would not fit together on this desk. It's very small, but that's exactly what I needed for my car. Ive tried the desks that attach to the steering wheel, but those never fit with the steering wheel cover and sit at a funny angle. I have a sedan, I can move the seat all the way back and this sits PERFECTLY in my lap. My phone can rest on it and I can watch my shows while I eat lunch. It's great. Best part is it's cheap, lightweight, and it's not big and bulky, it fits nice in the backseat. I would definitely recommend. Just not for laptops.

I have a huge lap desk for my laptop which allows me to use a mouse; however, it hits the arms on my new recliner. I was worried it would eventually leave rub marks in the fabric. So, I went on the hunt for something smaller. This lap desk is really child size - to describe it best. My 15.6" laptop works with this, because the rubber feet sit on the plastic desktop - but the sides extend maybe 1/2" on either side. Front to back, it fits exactly. That's okay, because now I fit neatly between the arms on my recliner. The two beanbag pads form nicely to my legs, so the lapdesk is very comfortable. My other lapdesk has a hard foam pad underneath that doesn't conform to my legs. It isn't objectionable, but I like this better! There are also two baffles which leaves room for air between them. I know this will be nice in the warmer months. The top material on this desk is molded plastic. I was expecting wood from the photo. I also expected it to be light blue. "Alaskan Blue" is not at all as pictured. It is a dark baby blue, almost turquoise. Overall, for under $10, I have zero complaints. I don't even care about the color. You can't see it under my laptop, and this will be so useful for more than just the computer. I'm happy with this, and I'd recommend this if you need a comfortable hard/flat surface for your lap.

Great size for tablets and textbooks. Also good as tray for dinner lol. Nice padding on the bottom that keeps it steady. This is just an essential item to have handy. 10/10 👍🏼

I bought this so I could write on my laptop out on the lanai. I’m a newspaper columnist and work mostly from home (which is on a lake with a lovely view). I just needed something to keep my laptop elevated so it didn’t overheat sitting on my legs. Though the laptop is about 1/2 inch wider than the lap desk, it works perfectly. The little slot advertised as the “pen holder” accepts both my laptop’s back feet and holds it in place securely while I work. I got the pink model, since at the time I ordered that was the only one available for one-day delivery on Prime. I would have preferred something a little less girly, but I guess I’m secure enough in my manhood to deal with any possible taunts that may come my way from my idiot friends or coworkers. I’ve read a few reviews here from folks who think it needs more padding in back, but for my purposes, the two “strips” of micro-beads (or whatever’s in there) are perfect. I was on deadline for a couple articles yesterday and sat out there with the thing on my lap for four hours; it was comfortable the whole time. Yeah, my butt got sore, but it’s hard to fault the lap desk for that; my Adirondack chairs need better cushions, not the lap desk. I’ve had my lap desk for about a month and used it extensively during that time. It still looks new, the stitching where the cushions attach to the desk is holding up well and show no signs of wear. Hard to fault this thing, especially considering the reasonable price.
