the best!
My toddler son loves this owl at bedtime. The owl has a small projector of stars and moons, white noise (his favorite is the ocean sounds), music and a nightlight. It has a timer to turn off or you can let it run all night. When my son was first born, I thought machines like this were a waste of money. Then the six month sleep regression hit...and boy, has this machine saved us some sleep. At first, it was just the white noise that we used but, with him advancing to two years old, we then hit the next sleep regression, associated with nightmares and fear of the dark. The owl gives just enough light to make him feel better about the dark but not so much that he can't sleep. I love how cute the owl is and I've enjoyed this little nightlight so much, I've ordered a second one for my second child on the way.

Great product!
Very cute! I will mostly be using the light features, but it is nice to have the sound/music options as well! The brightness of the projector is good, and the nightlight is nice and soft. You CAN use the sound and lights seperately, unlike what one of the other reviewers said. Just press the sound button again and it will turn off. LOVE that it doesn't run off of batteries, and that it can run all night if you want it to. Very happy with my purchase!

A miracle! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
Listen to me.....my son has been an awful sleeper since the time he was born. AWFUL i tell you, absolutely AWFUL. He’s two years old now and up until i got this night light he was still a terrible sleeper. I was at my wits end. My last nerve. The end of my rope. The edge of the bridge when this came along. I can’t belive I can finally get a full nights sleep. I use the nature sounds and the night light with the star projector. Before bed we get into pjs, read a couple books and i lay next to him for about 10-15 minutes, talk about our day and look at the stars on the projector and he’s out!!!!! And doesn’t wake up until 6 -7 which is a FAR CRY from the 2-3 times he would wake up every night before. I’ve tried everything including melatonin and nothing worked but this. If you’re reading this thinking OMG SAME GIRL and you’re about to shed a tear because you’re so sleep deprived this is definitely at least worth a try. Hang in there. PS: going to pair it with essential oil diffuser soon too. HAPPY SLEEP TRAINING MAMAS!

Cute, loud, good sound options
We love this sound machine. We've used it since our twins came home from the hospital. We use the heartbeat sound -- I think it's very soothing to newborns, and it's abstract enough that it isn't distracting for us. I love that it has volume options and brightness options for the light. We prefer no light. Plus it's so cute! When looking for a second sound machine for our room once we moved this one and the babies into the nursery, we compared the Skip Hop owl with the Dohm and decided we preferred the Dohm - a true "white noise" machine. We ended up keeping the Dohm. I do wish the Skip Hop one had the sound option for true "white noise" - if so, we would have kept that one!

I love that this is plug in no worrying about batteries ...
I love that this is plug in no worrying about batteries I do however wish the plug was a bit longer. I see some people complained about the sound not being loud enough-mine does not have this issue. It is extremely cute and gender neutral. I hate kids stuff that looks obnoxious but this is perfect! I've only used it a couple times but so far love it!

“Hoot Hoot”
If your shopping for your baby-this is the one. If you are shopping for someone else’s baby, this is the one. Listen, we got this from my son’s baby shower. We used it most nights. We can’t hear our dogs barking at night or the TV downstairs when other people are still awake. Cars outside? Can’t hear it. This this is the best. Fast forward 2 years, my son calls this “Hoot Hoot” won’t sleep without it. He gives it hugs and kisses every night. It is my favorite part of our bedtime routine. We bought one for my nephew and will continue to purchase this for every baby to come. What a cute little gift.

As close as you can get to Mr. Sandman.
PROS: This thing is a sleep saver! We have two of them for our two children and both of them love it. It provides some noise to cover up other commotion in the house (i.e. washing dishes, TV, etc) and is in some senses a security blanket. Lots of nice controls to modify it for your child's needs (light brightness, volume, timeout, noise pattern, etc) We like the ability to set the timeout to 60 minutes so the noise machine runs until the kids are soundly asleep. CONS: The star field projection is pretty small and while the projector is adjustable, its pretty difficult to position the nightlight in the room on furniture such that you can get the star field to project over the bed.

My daughter loves her owl!
I was not sure if my daughter would be interested in something like this but I took a chance and glad I did! She is 18 months old and has always slept pretty great but started to fight me when first going to bed a little bit. This did the trick, she absolutely loves it. She loves her owl and loves the stars she still gets excited and I think we’ve had it a month or maybe more. The only negatives I would say is the longest music setting is for 1 hr and I wish it had more songs as she doesn’t care for the white noise. But she goes to bed without any issue now and gets so happy when it’s bedtime.

PERFECT Nursery Addition
We purchased this when my son was 6 months old as we were working to establish a more structured bedtime/sleep routine. This machine (combined with our other methods) was a lifesaver. Since incorporating the sound machine our little sleeps through the night and has more restful sleep. There are several different sound melodies for you to select, the chirping birds is our favorite and helps to signal to our little one it's time for bed. Nights are a breeze with this machine and its super easy to use. We HIGHLY recommend!

So loved we bought a second
We love this so much that we bought a second when the first died (after nightly use, all night long, for almost two years). Love that the lights and sounds are adjustable and that there are so many sound options. I loved the heartbeat when baby was little (though husband found it creepy), we typically use the white noise, but my now toddler will also choose "birds" sometimes when he's in the mood. He loves that we "hung the stars and the moon" for him on the ceiling.
