Best for bigger servings

Cup - Mug is plenty roomy and tall, which means water doesn't rise as high to meet filter for a single serving. Better for bigger servings (increase water and leaves by 50%). See picture comparing 8oz in sweese (blue) vs competitor (white). The handle placement at top is awkward to me. I keep setting the cup down too hard, knocking it against the table. Cover - See picture, blue = sweese, white = competitor. The edge is angled and shallow, which causes the cover to slide around easily. Update - this cup has really grown on me. For tea bags, it's great for 2 tea bags and 12oz water which helps combat the weak bags.

Wanted this to be great, but...

***UPDATE 7/23/17*** Company customer service was great. They saw my review about the infuser, and were not pleased I had received such a product. Immediately sent me a new one, free of any issues, and still refunded my return. So pleased I finally get to use this mug. Gorgeous color, love the handle, and the capacity of the mug is excellent. Would certainly give 5 stars now! Ordered this mug yesterday. Received it today, excited to use it for my tea. The mug itself is absolutely gorgeous. Well made, great handle, good capacity. Low stars due to the infuser. Mine had rust spots on it and visible lumps of glue where the infuser was glued together. Returning this item tomorrow. Really sad because I wanted this to be great. :(

This cup is the perfect size for tea, coffee, and hot chocolate! Here's my full review:

I originally ordered this mug because it popped up on recommended as I was searching for an infuser. I figured it would be a good idea as most of the infusers I was finding were in a similar price range. I've only used the cup a few times so far but here's what I've noticed. Pros: -Keeps coffee/tea warm for a decently long period of time even without the lid. -I'm easily distracted so I walk away from my desk a lot to do things, whenever I'm getting up I'll use the lid to help keep it warm a bit longer. -Infuser works well, the first time I tried it I put it in after the water (I'm not sure why, that was user error for sure because of course everything will float to the top) of course it is better to pour the boiling water through the infuser into the empty cup to get the best results. -Came packaged well, everything was bubble wrapped and within a box that would be easy to gift wrap without having to transfer packaging. The only two cons I've noticed so far (neither of which would prevent me from buying this cup again): I have an electric kettle that gets really hot when boiling water, the cup gets hotter a lot faster than most of my other cups but that does not effect the handle. I made the mistake of grabbing the cup by putting my hand through the handle instead of grabbing the handle itself and it was uncomfortably hot. Again, could be user error on my part but something to consider if you have kids around that might try to handle the cup by the center. I do not have a warmer for mugs but I'm sure that would also make the outside of the cup hotter as well. -The lid sits on top of the cup fine but the inner lip of the lid (if that makes sense) is smaller than the top part of the cup so it can easily slide off to the side if it isn't put on carefully which will let out all the steam. I think making that ring a bit larger will not only help to keep the heat in the cup but also allow the lid to be placed a bit easier (I'm always in a hurry okay, don't judge me.) Overall I have no complaints about the cup, the price point is great for what you get and the color is lovely. I keep it on my desk on a coaster and it keeps my drinks hot for a while, if it starts to cool I just top it off from the kettle and continue drinking my tea. I hate drinking water but I love drinking tea, I can sit and sip on tea all day long and this mug is for sure my new favorite. I will most likely be ordering more in the future.

Great Mug Worth the Slightly Higher Price.

This was a great purchase. The mug holds a great amount of liquid, whether you’re making tea or drinking something else that does not require the infuser. The porcelain is pretty sturdy, and can withstand light blows without chipping or shattering. The white color is pretty stylish and allows you to see your drink clearly, and the cup doesn’t stain despite being white. The handle is in a good position and provides enough space from the cup so as not to burn your hand (provided you don’t have amazingly large hands). And the cup’s opening is fairly large, making it easy to clean all the way to the bottom with a sponge. Overall, a great mug with a great infuser that can easily become something you use everyday with that morning cup of coffee or afternoon tea.

One I love this mug, it works amazing and is SO much cheaper then the Teavana alternative! Two, this company has AMAZING costumer service! I have had my mug since February and sadly this week the lid fell and broke. I contacted the company to see if I could purchase simply a replacement lid and they are sending me a new whole mug free of charge! I'm shocked, and very impressed! I wish I could give this mug and company SO much more then just 5 stars!

beautiful and sturdy cup

I just love this cup! It's a decent size cup (although I wish I could find this cup in larger size) It has a very nice, long, and large strainer but it's not easy to clean it (small tea leaves get stuck in the tiny holes) The color is gorgeous, and the lid is amazing! My son dropped it on the floor, after it first hit a ceramic pot (which got chipped!), then rolled down the stairs and didn't break!!! Couldn't believe it! I hope the cup will behave the same way (not that I expect to drop it any time soon :))

Great Mug. PERFECT Infuser.

Love this tea mug. The handle is absolutely necessary as the porcelain get VERY hot, as expected. I have two other tea mugs from different manufacturers and the deep tea strainer/infuser that came with this mug is my absolute favorite! The stainless steel strainer is of great quality. The mug itself looks nice and keeps my tea warm. I have now purchased two and would buy more in the future.

Amazing idea and very cute

I got this today and couldn't wait to use it. It is everything I expected. Cup is a great size, and the filter is big enough fill with a bunch of tea leaves and re-use. Filter fits perfectly in the coaster/lid. Also, the filter rests on any standard size mug so it doesnt have to be used exclusively with this cup. A note: I noticed a lot of reviewers saying the lid does not fit snugly on the cup. It is supposed to rest on top of the cup to keep your tea warm when not being used as a coaster.... if you are looking for a more on the go option or something that will prevent spillage, I would reccomend getting a tumbler. I plan to keep this in my office at work so I can have my loose leaf teas whenever I want. Very happy with this neat cup!

Perfect tea cup

I love this tea cup. Perfect size, the basket holes are small and keep the tea in, the basket is deep enough to give the tea lots of room to steep. Cup is comfortable to hold. Basket fits in lid perfectly to prevent drips. Lid keeps tea warm while steeping. I have one at work and liked it so much I ordered one for home. This is the perfect tea cup.

New favourite tea mug

I'm pretty fussy about my tea mugs. But this one has quickly become my favourite. It's nice to hold, good quality, cleans easily, and makes a great cup of tea. I did get this on a lightning deal near christmas, and originally intended it as a gift, but no way would it go to someone else now. I don't know however whether I would pay $20 for a mug, but then I'm pretty broke :)
