I love this camera cover! I've been using stickers for years and it's been a pain having to take the sticker off and force it back on whenever I had video meetings or just wanted to use the camera to talk to friends or take pictures. The cover is really small, and the little circle that slides to cover the camera is magnetically attached to the rest of the piece. I accidentally took it off with another magnet once, but it was no problem because it just stuck right back on. The packaging was nothing more or less than I expected. I received a well-sealed white poly mailer at my house, and inside there was a small box with thorough instructions for application, as well as a small cloth to clean the camera. Upon application, I only had to wait a few minutes for it to stick really tight, and I can slide the cover easily with the touch of a finger. I also tested the quality of the cover by shining various lights into the cover to see if my camera would catch it at all. Nothing! Just black. Definitely would recommend!

These Webcam Cover Slides are tiny but paramount in the era of technology when you cannot tell if your camera is actually on off-mode. These minuscule gems fit over any and all modern camera devices, such as desktops, laptops, and android model cell phones. Within the package are a mixture of silver metal and black plastic. There is an easy adhesive tack-on method that takes 10 seconds to adhere. This is a clever, tiny invention that can relieve nerves if your afraid your phone may be watching you. ;p

These are teeny little things! Which is good! I like how both black and silver came in the package. I used black for my new MacBook Air because the camera is surrounded by black, while my husband has the older model of MacBook Air which has silver around his camera. I installed both of them. The adhesive doesn’t seem super strong, but in a way that’s kind of good because you will probably want to adjust it a tiny bit after you get it on, because these are nice and small. Once you lightly press it on, you can kind of scoot it around slightly to get it positioned correctly. Then, just close the cover and press hard, and then close your laptop and leave it alone. As long as you aren’t throwing your laptop around or messing with the top, it should be fine. I do notice that where I open my laptop is exactly where this is positioned, so I’m hoping that over time I don’t push it loose, but I will update my ratings if it becomes a problem. The magnet that allows the slide to operate is fairly strong and the slide operates quite smoothly. The magnets cause the tiny covers to stick together in the packaging, which isn’t a bad thing, since it will be easier to keep them all together if you don’t use them all at one time. Ultimately, I’m pleased with the purchase unless they start to fall off, which so far they seem okay. Definitely small and definitely look decent on the laptop. I’m uploading some photos for you to view as well. ****As an update, these do stay in place, but the adhesive never really gets stronger. Mine is still able to be scootched around slightly up and down (it had started to slide down a tiny bit). Otherwise, they are staying put, so they do work, and they do look fine. I guess in a way it’s good, because if I ever want to take these off, it won’t be difficult.

I don't know why, but I was expecting these to be much larger. Look at the images of these installed on a laptop and you'll see how small they really are. I also thought the round part slid inside a track but it's magnetic. You have to be a little careful opening and closing it to keep the circle part from falling out, but otherwise they are easy to use. I am using them on my laptops (Macbook Pros) and they are fine. They don't stick out far enough to prevent the laptop from closing all the way. I'm not sure the little round part would stay on if used on a cellphone. I feel certain that I'd lose the round part when sticking the phone in my pocket or pulling it out. Otherwise they are fine on a laptop, where the lid is closed when you are transporting it. For what I bought them for they are five stars but I imagine I'd mark them pretty low if I was using it on a cellphone and lost the disc part, which I'm sure I would since it is not in a track.

I've put two of the five on, they've been on for about a week. So far very happy. They stick to the Mr. Shield glass screen protector, and the little disk seems to stick very well to the magnetic slider. I anticipate that they will last long enough to make me happy.

I always heard about hackers getting hold of your laptops to snoop around you so I bought this to cover the webcams on the laptops. Especially due to pandemic, we are now all in remote learning and working from home and we are either in Zoom or Google Meet for video conferencing but there are times when you didn't want to show yourself on camera but it happens by accident.. I'm sure you you what I'm talking about. Well, this privacy cover will make sure that you meant to show yourself by manually sliding and opening the webcam . These are actually very thin metal and the privacy cover is a strong magnet that you can easily slide left and right. Very well design and made. The sticky adhesion on the back is very strong so make sure you align it correctly before pressing it on your webcam because it will be difficult to adjust if you don't align in correctly. I installed on my MacBook Air, laptop, and on Chromebook and they all work beautifully. I was afraid that it might be too small at first but didn't realize how small the webcams are on the laptop 😁 Great buy! Highly recommend this if your laptops don't have privacy cover for the webcam. Hope my video and photos were useful... and if they were, please click on the helpful button below. Thank you!

Works great. The pieces are small and somewhat tedious for a person with big hands. But if I can make it work, it should be easy for anyone with a little patience to install. Also a word about the accessories included. I did not use the included moistened cleaner. I used a pre-moistened lens cleaning wipe (Carl Zeiss brand) that I had lying around to clean the surface properly before applying.

I was really shocked how small they were when I opened the package, smaller than expected, however that's the thing I like the most, it's how small they really are. I've included a photo on a dime so you could get an idea of how small they are. They are great on my cell phone, low profile, don't even know it's there. Other webcovers are almost 2x this size.. They came with a little cleaning cloth. I really like that they have a warranty . Will have to update on how long they stay on phone before falling off.

I don't know what the people who complained about them not sticking are doing? I have an iMac and after cleaning the glass with CleanScreen and wiping any residue off, they stuck right on, hard! I was just a fraction of perfectly level and not wanting to pull it off completely, I tried to nudge it over a 16th of an inch. It wouldn't move I tried again a hard as I could without lifting it and nothing. I have no reason to think it won't come off clean if carefully pried off. The one thing for iMac users that I have no seen mentioned is, you can't mount them horizontally without covering either the light sensor or that camera-on light. The length does fit in-between but the hole must be centered over the lens and you can't do that without covering something. I mounted mine vertically and the problem is solved. When the lens cover is open, it's above the lens opening. Perfect! I can't even see the black version against the black bezel where the camera is. Buy these! They are perfect!

I got tired of sticky notes on my laptop and decided to give these a try. So far so good. I cleaned the surface before applying the camera cover to ensure it would stick well. You need a steady hand because the hole for the camera is almost exactly the same size as the camera so you need to be accurate. The first one I installed does not interfere with the camera when open but is on a slight angle instead of being completely horizontal. That doesn't affect the functionality and only I am really going to see that. On the second laptop my installation is much better. Use the correct color (black or chrome) and the cover practically disappears on the laptop. In low lighting I can barely see it installed at all. Because they are so small and thin, you need to use your fingernail to slide the cover open or closed. I haven't had any issues with the slide falling off or the adhesive failing but our laptops are inside 99% of the time and don't move around a lot.
