I've cooked pork roast twice, one 5 pound frozen that took 2 hours to fall apart, another that was 10 pound fresh that took 2 hours to fall apart then 45 minutes with liquid smoke and sauce. All done on high. Pressure ranges from around 12 pounds pressure down to 7.2 before building back to around 11-12 pounds over and over. Set it and leave it, still learning, a little slow but WAY BETTER than any slow cooker. I got House 14 quart just right for my family. Thanks Gowise, great product.

Update April, 2019...it still looks and works like the day I got it. This has definitely been worth every penny and then some! _______________ Bought this after a friend raved about her Instant Pot, but I didn't want to spend so much on an appliance I might not use very often. This fit bill, had decent reviews and was quite a bit less money. Boy was I pleasantly surprised!! I use this pressure cooker almost every time I cook now. It is easy to use, easy to clean and cooks dinner--even from frozen, in no time. I've had mine for a few months now and can't find anything to complain about. I am very happy with it.

This is my new favorite kitchen toy ever brought into my house! I can take a whole frozen chicken straight from the freezer, out it in the pot with seasoning and a carton of broth and have the yummiest chicken on the table in 45 min and it will just melt in your mouth And off the bone. Depending on the size of chickens, I can typically cook 2 standing side by side at once. I'm so hooked on this chicken that I fix chicken salad from it twice a week, basically eating chicken salad from my instapot daily. Teriyaki pork roast is our second fav.

This thing is HUGE! Love it. Cooked 3 slabs of ribs and still had room for more. Makes perfect full size cheesecakes.

So far, so good! It arrived on Friday and I played with it all weekend. Hard boiled eggs first, one pot spaghetti for dinner that night (throw all ingredients in with uncooked pasta, set for 4 minutes and we were eating al dente flavor filled pasta in 10 minutes, then on Sunday I made a giant pot roast with vegetables. I will update as time goes on but this cooker is all I'd hoped for so far. Stainless steel trivet, basket, and inner pot all clean easily and I'm not worried about Teflon material eventually sloughing off into my food. Easy to read instructions, easy to understand recipes that come with it, and very easy to read pre sets on the front of the cooker. It truly takes the guessing out of what to do. If you are new to pressure cookers (as I am) then these buttons are invaluable. It helps you get used to the length of times things should cook so you can then move onto manually setting. I did the manual setting for the pot roast and in 1 1/2 hours, we were sitting down to a tender and full of flavor meal that I barely broke a sweat over. Next up will be cheesecake, bbq pork, and a nice chicken soup. One bit of advice: Get this cooker, set it up and start cooking. You will be hooked!!

We used the pressure cooker to make Asian chicken rice bowls. After searing the chicken in a cast iron skillet, we threw in the chicken with sauce and it cooked in 5 minutes! It's such a lifesaver for parents or really anyone on a tight schedule. I can't wait to cook beans in under 20 minutes. Dinner time will be a breeze with this pressure cooker.

Excellent pressure cooker. Easy to use. It is clear that this pressure cooker is very well made and I love the fact that it has a stainless steel inner pot and not non-stick Teflon. At this introductory pricing, one can buy 2 and still have money left over vs buying the most popular brand here on Amazon. Most pleased. Update 5-16-2015 After using this pressure cooker at least 3 times a week, it still performs beautifully. I especially like the egg function. 3 min on the high setting makes hard-boiled eggs with the yellowest yolk and set-but-still-tender egg white. No dark sulfur rings at all and best of all, it is so easy to make. I have also used the pot-in-pot technique to make dishes directly in the serving dishes (basically using the pressure cooker as a high-pressure steamer) for stews and oatmeal and they came out perfect as well. This method allows me to cook different dishes consecutively and cuts down on the dishes to wash. :) One great thing about this electric pressure cooker is that is is absolutely quiet when cooking and emits basically no vapor so your house is not filled with the smell of whatever you're cooking. Can't say the same thing about the stove-top pressure cooker or the slow cooker. This pressure cooker should not be used as a canner as the pressure changes during the cooking process. It is not designed for that. I'm very pleased with the initial quality of this pressure cooker and I hope it is built to last. Update 7-6-2015 The pressure cooker is still going strong. I have been making yogurt with this. It can accommodate 7 8oz mason jars. I just mix some store bought yogurt and milk and pour the mixture into the jars. Add luke warm water to the pot until it almost reaches the level of the milk in the jar. 12 hours later, I have really tasty home made yogurt. Much more economical than keep buying yogurt plus I know it has no additives. :) Update 6-29-2016 This pressure is still working great. Average use is maybe 3 times a week. I did buy an extra inner bowl and an extra silicone ring so that I can separate meat dishes from non-meat dishes to avoid interfering of flavors/smells. I also use the inner bowl directly on my gas stove to brown meat/saute vegetables before I proceed to use the pressure cooker for stews or soups, etc. I also use the inner bowl as a regular 6-quart pot on my stove. I hardly ever use my stove-top pressure cooker since I got this since I do not need to baby this thing while it is cooking.

Took out of the box and abused this thing for about 20 hours straight. WOW this thing can really cook a huge batch of pulled pork in about an hour. And it is the best I have ever had. I also just kept loading and pressing the buttons and it kept up. finished with amazing baked beans from dried bags. I have not seen another large one like this to even compare to, but clearly this has the added power as well. Clean up was so easy..... almost a joke. There is a learning curve as far as not real clear on the whole "slow cook" or "pressure cook" options and for me to do what I needed I had to come hit the button a second time which was a bit annoying but not close to a deal breaker. For those that were wondering, yes it will saute so you can cook in only 1 pan.

I have owned this pressure cooker for over a year now, and I use it almost every day. I love the way it cooks hard boiled eggs in 5 min. and fresh green beans in 2 min. I have used it for rice (3 min.under pressure, plus 7 min. the slow release method) comes out perfect. I am a pressure cooker freak and own many high end pressure cookers, but I keep going back to this one, probably because I don't have to babysit it, just set it and go. It took a little time to remember that it doesn't shut off and goes directly to warm stage. As a heads up I would say to be careful not to loose the floater seal (a small seal under the pin that pops up when it come to pressure). I have knocked it off while washing the lid a couple times. This is an excellent piece of kitchen equipment for your money!

I have both the 6 and 8 quart models - they work exceptionally well. As a cookbook author, blogger and food photographer I demand consistent and reliable results - My GoWise USA multi cooker are the only that I recommend.
