This product is exactly what it says it is. I was able to install it with no issues (just remember this doesn't come with tools required, but that's clear from the description). The touch pad worked perfectly. Had to tune the touch pad click a bit because of small discrepancies between this and my old touch pad but after that it worked good as new. All gestures work etc, feels like the original product from apple.

Thrifty Replacement Trackpad

This product is so easy to use. If you have even surface level knowledge of engineering, or mechanics, you won't even need a video. Just pop open your laptop, remove the battery to expose the trackpad, unscrew, and replace. Place parts exactly where they were when you started and, you're done. Works like a charm! Compared to spending money at the Apple Store for fixtures, or invest in a new Macbook, this is the way to go!

My 2012 macbook pro trackpad had the classic phantom ghost erratic behavior. After ruling out software issues, was determined to be a hardware issue. Ordered this, replaced it...now working fine!

Easy replacement, works perfectly

Bad battery in my MBP bent and forced the trackpad out of the frame, I replaced the battery and the trackpad, and it was simple to do myself. Saved a big repair bill.

I'm not sure what to say about this. My keypad broke on my laptop. I bought this and installed it and now my keypad works fine. Installation required some special tools which you can get from any computer screwdriver set. Go on youtube or ifixit to get the instructions on how to do it. I think it took 15 minutes or so. One thing I will say, and this has nothing to do with the keypad, is that there's a screw that controls the keypad button. If the screw is too loose or too tight, then the keypad button won't work. Part of the reason I replaced the keypad was the button wasn't working. But if I knew all I had to do was adjust that screw, then I could have done it and maybe not have purchased this, or at least bought myself some time. However, the product itself works very well and I have no complaints. Glad I did it.

Works Perfectly

This was easy to install and worked perfectly for my older model Mac Book (2012, 13"). Trackpads don't seem to last as long as the computer so it's nice to have a reasonable priced replacement that fits perfectly. One of our IT guys from work mentioned that if you put a piece of black electrical tape under the track pad it will last longer and you are less likely to have issues.
