Excellent performance on magnesium alloy

I bought this set for shaping a welded magnesium alloy engine part. The welds added too much bulk to clear other parts. I used the cylinder and the ball bits in a flexible shaft at about 1000 rpm but they could just as easily be used in a drill chuck. Reshaping the part took about 30 minutes, which was mostly repeated test fittings after removing material. I was surprised and happy at the performance of these bits given their low cost. They performed perfectly and the part now fits. I can't say how they'd work on harder material like steel or aluminum but I would expect them to be fine there also.
