Not as irritating for cat, and large size that actually fits!
I have tried a couple other harnesses and they all make our 'Luci' either constantly try to escape, or forget how to cat altogether. This is the 1st harness she has not actively tried to escape from non-stop. Also doesn't seem to limit her range of motion either

A kitty straitjacket that's great for a first harness.
This is a great harness to start with. I ordered a small for my 3.5-pound kitten and it *just* fits her -- it's adjustable enough that I can make the straps tight. The straps are strong velcro, and there's a collar attached as well (though that IS too large for my kitten, but it's not an issue at all). I doubt even a very large and strong cat could pull these straps open. She has a lot of energy and so this has been perfect for harness training, because it's basically a kitty straitjacket and she frequently flops over in it and generally doesn't want to move too much; so when I take her outside, she'll walk around and chew grass and things, but won't bolt or get too crazy. When she's turned backwards to try and pull out of it, she can't. It almost seems to have a soothing effect as well, a bit like anxiety vests for dogs. She doesn't react in this harness to cars or even thunder with much fear. When she was in a more traditional, strappy harness, even a passing car would scare her quite a bit. Overall a wonderful design!

Fantastic
My cat is a fairly small cat so I was a little concerned that the Medium would be to big for her, but it actually fits very well. She definitely was not happy about wearing it at first and refused to move. However after working with her for about two weeks and showing her she can go outside if she has it on she is doing really well. She is able to go outside and play while on the tie out that we have. I do watch her the entire time to make sure she doesn't get tangled up or somehow escape, but so far its great! It really easy to put it on her and I feel like its light enough that it doesn't really bother her. She LOVES that she can go outside now and explore! Also I didn't realize that it came with a matching leash so that was a nice surprise as well(:

Great Harness!!!! Doesnt need to go over the cat's head!
We harness trained our when she was a kitten and she used to love hanging out outside with us. As she got older the typical harnesses became more difficult to put on her. She hated them going over her head. It would become torture for her and us to try and get them on her so we just decided to stop taking her outside. The other day the weather was so nice out and she was at the door crying to go out. I found one of our old harnesses and attempted to put it on her. She was so patient until I tried to put it over her head and she freaked out again. I came on Amazon to look to see if there was an alternative and found this one. I decided to give it a chance. Well it arrived today and it was PURRRRFECT. It was on her in 2 seconds and not a complaint from her. I will say that they must run small (I read the reviews before buying it) because my cat is typically not a Large and the large fits her perfect. There is no way this would fit my other cat (Miso the Big Fat Cat). I highly recommend this harness just make sure to get a large unless it is for a kitten.

It's great!!
We love it! They haven't escaped, although our cats haven't really tried to get out. We trained them to wear this by making them wear the harness during dinner. We did this several times then the cats got used to it! We like this a lot because it's quite easy to make them wear this. Cats look comfortable in ti. We like the extra clip on the neck so it's secure. Although our 9 pound kitty is already growing out of medium, so sadly we need to get a new one but there's no more larger sizes.. Please make one!!

Fits my 7 pound Savannah kitten fine!
Many small harnesses for cats are built for dogs and not suited for a lean, athletic body. This one fit my Savannah kitten when he was only about 5 pounds. I didn’t want to drop a lot of money for a custom made harness that he is going to outgrow in short order. Try as he might he is unable to escape from this harness. My only advice to other customers is to make sure the Velcro is well secured and once it starts to wear, replace the harness. It’s inexpensive and my cat finds it comfortable enough to wear it all day without any complaining. Great value and function!

He has yet to escape this harness and it’s easy to put on
I have a very acrobatic, wiggly demon cat. He has yet to escape this harness and it’s easy to put on.

Absolutely love it!
I absolutely love it! Bought it for my 6 month old kitten and it fit nicely with a bit of growing room. I love the Velcro and the clip that goes around the neck. It really makes me feel more comfortable taking him out, knowing that if he manages to get the Velcro undone, he won't be able to get out completely. (Even though after just a few wearings he's completely comfortable in the harness.) I love it because even when he jumps away from me or pulls, it doesn't hurt his neck the way a normal collar and leash would. Considering buying the bigger size for my adult cat.

Freaks on leashes, and loving it!
These do run a little small. Aloy (the striped tabby) and Worf (the black shorthair) are each approximately 6-8 lbs. Gus is almost 6 months old, but is half Maine Coon and is 4lbs. They're all wearing a medium, and I wish I'd gotten a Large for Aloy. She may outgrow this in the girth area, although they're all rather slim. As other reviewers have said, if in doubt, order a size up. That said, this is fantastic. No, Worf and Aloy didn't want to get into it the first time. There was a bit of "I'm not sure how to walk and cat at the same time", but I brought them to a very interesting area in our backyard and let them get their bearings. The harness does impede jumping, but in moments they were sniffing around and after two trips outside in the same day, they feel the harness is an acceptable price of admission into the back yard. Gus was bemused by the harness, but his roly-poly self was more than game to try it. I love the design. Worf got his off the first time, but only because I didn't put it on snugly enough. He was actually more comfortable and confident once it was snug, too. Once I got that down, I saw quite clearly that they're not going to escape the harness, and don't even want to. I will almost certainly get a 2 Large ones, just to be ready when for Gus' inevitable growth and in case either Worf of Aloy grow a bit more.
