Worked better than expected on pontoon seats

My main problem was a white shower curtain liner, the disposable kind, which had developed a lot of ugly black growth at the bottom where it touches the tub, especially along the sewn seam of the liner. Since it's better to use things up and fix them instead of just sending stuff to a landfill, I first tried soaking the bottom edge of the shower curtain liner in a bucket of diluted bleach mixture. That helped quite a lot, but it didn't get to the mildew under the seam. This product worked great! I tested it against some mold spray. The half of the curtain that I used the Star Brite mildew spray on took two applications, but it worked great. The side that I used mold spray on did not show any difference whatsoever. So now I know: mold spray will not work on mildew. And the Star Brite got in under the seam, so the whole shower curtain liner is white again. (Well, it was after I redid the side that the mold spray didn't fix.) But agreed -- the spray is stinky, so ventilate. The first time I followed directions and put on a paint mask and goggles; the second time I didn't bother with those, and I had no ill effects, so I will probably take the lazy approach in the future and just spray with care, being careful afterwards not to splash the rinse water around.

Removes mildew stains FAST from white vinyl boat seats! I tried several other products first, and this one is the only one that works!

Has a strong bleach smell to it. A thick soapy feel to the liquid so it is not just bleach alone. Removed spots that were a little over a year old. Seats like new, zero side effects to the seats. Used on not cheap vinyl seats

We bought an old pop up trailer that had mildew stains all of the canvas. We tried EVERYTHING to try and get them off but nothing worked until this! The spots literally disappeared before my eyes and the canvas look AMAZING. Highly recommend!

This Star Brite Ultimate Mildew Stain Remover contains powerful chemicals so use precautions when applying but it gets the job done. This is a thick spray so it clings pretty well to vertical surfaces. It has a strong smell and you really want to use it in a well ventilated area - outside, if possible - and wear gloves and goggles. Spray it on and let it work but be mindful that you need to rinse the area thoroughly with clean water after use. The bottle also cautions against letting it sit for prolonged periods on porcelain or metal. I used it on bathroom tile in a bathroom with no window but there is a vent. I sprayed the mildew quickly and then closed the door and left it for a while. Holy moley! It got rid of every last bit of mildew and the soap scum, too! Amazing. I was emboldened so I sprayed an area of mildew on my shower curtain and that disappeared almost instantly. This stuff is incredible. Again, it's very powerful and potentially dangerous so use all of the precautions listed on the bottle but wow! It really works.

Works great! Mildew stains on my patio chair cushions just disappeared!

tried several mold and mildew removers on my patio furn. most were ordered on amazon . had no success whatsoever Star brite was a desperation order ! much to my surprise it worked perfectly . could not be happier !

It's rare to find a cleaning product that actually does what it claims without a bunch of extra elbow grease and scrubbing, but every so often magic happens, that's the case here. We have a 12-year-old front-load washing machine which developed a horrible mildew problem with the rubber door seal, this is a known issue with these early front-loaders and I've been debating replacing the seal ($100) or just dealing with the problem until the unit died. It's past its typical lifespan right now, so I hated to spend money on a seal just to have the motor go out in a few months. I've tried treating the problem with vinegar and other mildew removers that are safe on rubber, but I've only been able to remove surface mildew. This stuff was sort of a last try before finally giving in and replacing the seal. I started by saturating the affected area with vinegar and letting it soak for an hour. After that I applied the Star Brite, allowing it to soak for 30 minutes. I cleaned the area and about half of the mildew was gone. I did a second application and after a bit of scrubbing, every bit of mildew has been removed. The seal is still in good shape, supple and without any cracks or other issues. Definitely recommended!
