My daughter loves him!

This was a big hit with my 2 year old daughter for Christmas. She loves her "t rex" or "dragon" whatever she feels like calling it that day. I did find that in on mode he seemed to turn off and I couldn't figure out why he wouldn't turn back on. I changed the batteries and it still didnt work. I was ready to return because it was only a day or two since she started playing with it. I read a review and said that push the tip of his tongue...that was it he came back on. So long story short he was not "dead" just asleep.

Very cute, beautiful design and fun to interact with.

I am all about toys with nice aesthetics and this is one of the prettiest toys I've seen! Very cute little raptor baby with realistic movements. The sounds are interesting; it plays jungle background sounds while the dino moves around and growls. I guess to give the right "ambiance" while you're playing with it? In any case, my five year old, who really doesn't play with toys much as he prefers screens, really loves this dino. I see him feeding it, hugging it and carrying it around. The eyes are big and cute and the colors pleasing. Very happy with this purchase!

Made my dino-loving daughter's birthday extra special!

Perfect for my dino-loving little girl! Don't pay attention to the negative reviews! When the switch is turned from "demo" to "on", it will only wake up when you press the tip of its tongue (with or without the included food you). It takes a little bit of practice to figure out exactly where the mouth on-trigger is, but it works just fine. This was the absolute perfect birthday present for our daughter, who lives and breathes dinosaurs, but also loves baby dolls and all things cute!

Very fun toy for little ones

My 5 y/o grandson loves this dinosaur- and so does his 3 y/o brother who also wants one. So, I guess I'll be ordering one for Christmas for him. We've had a absolutely no problems with the product. I switched it from demo mode to ON as soon as it arrived because it kept talking to me, lol!

Tongue makes him work. He is not broken/does not need new batteries

As other reviewers have pointed out, Munchin' Rex is not broken and does not need new batteries. When he is taken off of demo mode, you have to push his tongue to activate/turn him on. It can take a bit of practice to figure out exactly where on his tongue to push (and a bit of patience when your toddler cannot do this for himself). My son LOVES dinosaurs so this was a perfect gift for him and he absolutely loves it. I think his favorite thing about him is that he chomps. My son is obsessed with any toy that opens and closes its mouth. He also loves to feed his dinosaur and give it his bottle. I like that it allows him to take care of it.

It’s a Christmas gift so my nephew hasn’t played with it but I sure have! So cute!!

So cute

I bought him for my daughter for her birthday. He is so cute. He jumps around and makes lots of different noises. Definitely a good addition for a dino lover!

How to turn him “ON”!

I am not a verified purchase because I got him somewhere else. I did come to Amazon after mine was not working. I called Hasbro and found out what was wrong. When you take him off DEMO mode, put him in “ON” mode. Then place the cookie or broccoli on his tongue! He is only able to use motion sensor when he was on DEMO. To conserve batteries while “ON” he must be activated with his food, or else he goes into sleep mode! You will have the best gift at the party.....

My son went to a birthday party where his cousin Zoey got this as a gift and he basically stole it from her and was so upset we had to leave the dinosaur behind. My son is two and half and I ordered him one. The package came assembled and the on switch was on so im sure it will need its batterys replaced soon but he was so excited when he opened the box to find he had recived his very own dinosaur. I 100% recommend this as a gift. I even play with it and I love the colors. Its very bight and vibrant and so soft.

Is good just follow the instructions

I was so so skeptical on buying this for my girlfriend's nephew....but I took a chance and I am glad I did. When you take off demo mode it seems as unresponsive .....but if you read the instructions you can see that it's sleeping (which is when it doesn't make any noise and looks off) you can easily wake him up by pressing down on his tongue....neat trick and my girlfriend's nephew Love's it!
