This tool worked perfectly for my 2012 Prius brakes. I used it to push in the front pistons and to turn in the rear pistons. The head connects like a socket to a 3/8" ratchet. You have the option of two sides. One side has the nibs closer together and on the other side they are farther apart. I had no issue turning this tool by hand, but, you also have the option to put a wrench on the end to turn it. This was my first time changing the brakes on this car. I watched a bunch of YouTube videos prior to performing the job. I saw folks successfully turn in the pistons with pliers, but after seeing them repeatedly slip out, I looked for a better method with less potential for me to hurt myself. This was that better solution.

I broke 2 other cheapo tools that compress the brake piston on my 2017 Ford Explorer. This one works perfectly and it is a brake caliper piston REWINDER...being the keyword here. Newer car brake pistons need to be wound back inward while being compressed and not just compressed like the old school ones need to be. This tool is easy, sturdy inexpensive, and comes with a warranty. It worked perfectly.

Used it to reset the caliper pistons on my 13 Hyundai Elantra. Easily turned the pistons back without any issues. I am not sure what some have done to bend the steel plate. The description indicates this works for most Japanese cars, I guess we can add Korean as well.

I struggled for over an hour trying everything to get the piston to wind back in. Got this tool, under 5 minutes job was done!!!! Worth the money. Fast delivery too, thanks.

Love it. I was using simple non rotational until this and made it so much easier to compress the caliper. However it is bit tight to insert if the caliper is stocked out further (when pad is wore out thin). Also the cut of the plate should be from the other side of edge (outer curve side) so I can just slide it in (just like 3rd and last photo in gallery)

Trying to rewind piston into caliper without this tool is a pain. Tried using the small cube that fits onto a extension bar but couldn't apply enough pressure to force the piston in. After receiving the tool it took me all of 1 minute to rewind the piston to replace the brake pads. For the price I couldn't believe the heavy duty construction of the tool. It should last me, my kids and grand kids for a long time.

I'm sure this tool works great on most cars, but the stubs are spaced too far apart to fit my 2012 Ford Focus Titanium. I had to resort to using a pair of needle nose pliers to rewind the pistons by hand since the tool didn't fit.

I had the toughest time with my brake replacement on my parents 2011 Ford Edge. There was no way I was going to be able to finish the job without this tool. One way to get the Piston to rewind was to use the end piece along with a ratchet. That's just something I discovered while using the tool. All in all, definitely worth purchasing. It made the brake job too easy and it saved me a $500 mechanic bill.

This baby is very easy to use. No more "C" clamp. Very useful and great value for your money. Honestly you could go wrong buying this item. I love it

This worked great on my 2016 VW Passat rear brakes. Perfect and didn't cost a fortune.
