pretty decent for the price

These things are great on stainless, tool steel, 4140, and a few other things I've thrown at them. I also purchased a pack of the inserts made by the same manufacturer, and they are a great value. from what I hear, the edges are not lasting as long as some of the industrial grade inserts, but with these being so reasonably priced I'm not worried about breaking these when I make stupid beginner mistakes.

These 5/8 inch tool holders fit in the BXA 250-200 and BXA 222 tool post holders, using 250-200 series tool post holders. They come with 3 different inserts, TNMG160404, WNMG 080404, and CNMG 120404. These inserts will do 90% of the work, lacking only threading inserts. They fit into my 250-201 holder with just enough clearance to get them in without filing or shimming. Usually 5/8 inch holders with a carbide insert would cost what all three cost here. I tried each one of them on cold rolled steel and they worked exactly as they should, leaving a nice smooth finish and no blue chips. There are a large number of inserts available through Amazon and through tool supply shops. I would buy them again, and maybe I will because this price won't be around when I need to replace these nice cutters.
