Good starter block. Good polish. Not for straight razors though. This is no .5 micron paste.

Works miracles on straight razors

My straight razor was decent before, but after 50 laps with some compound lightly applied to my strop, well...after glancing at it my eyes were bleeding it was so sharp. I tried to take a picture of it, but my phone fell apart into two pieces. Then I dropped the razor and it knived through my apartments foundation, penetrated the crust and is currently cutting is way through the mangle, guided by gravity alone.

Great product

Puts a beautiful mirror shine on my knife edge, beautiful and exactly what i was hoping for. Will sharpen all my knives with this product, should get years of use out of it.

My strop is complete!

I used this stuff on my Home made strop and now with this coupled with my Lansky guided system I can make a knife edge capable of splitting atoms and cutting the crust off bread like nothing else

Don't let the size fool you. This is good stuff.

At first I was like wtf they sent me a baby proration of it. But soon realized that I just bought a baby poration , which I thought I would go threw really fast but you don't got through it fast if all you use it for is sharpening. So in the long run you were right and I was wrong. This was a good surprise . Just might want to put in the description a little goes a long way.

Great product from a great company

Great product from a great company. It shipped and got delivered on time and was in perfect condition. It took a while to load my strop with it but that was because the strop was new and very dense (I think it is buffalo). It has gotten all my kitchen and pocket knives hair popping sharp, I love it.

Good product

Havent used it to much yet. But I recently just got into knife sharpening. This was referred by a friend and it works great.

Good for leather strops for knife sharpening.

I think it's the perfect size needed for a strop. I've made over a dozen and still have %80+ left. I use this for maintaining a used edge (I use the blue for the final stage of a newly sharpend edge). I've stropped knives with steels from 3cr13 to XHP and m390 and hardness from 48 to 62.5 HRC and it's worked great. It's a harder than a crayon but not by that much and applies easily to every leather I've tried it on, even lizard skin leather (seriously), without needing any oils or anything like that. A tip, always keep these polishing compound bars in sealed plastic baggies, don't leave them in the open or they'll dry up faster than you think.
