REVISED: Upon seeing the initial review, the Chefman staff jumped into action and contacted me immediately!. The design does have a tight power cord and the original unit I received must have encountered an error during manufacturing. Chefman sent me a new unit and its power cord fits well. I want to thank Chefman for their excellent customer service and very prompt response. OLD: The connection of the 120v power on the Portable Compact Personal Fridge, is not tight and the slightest movement of the fridge causes the power to disconnect. The power connection on the fridge should be tight.

I've had it for about a month now, and I love this little guy. It sits discretely under my desk, and is perfect for keeping my creamer (I have a Keurig at my desk), and a few cans of whatever, cold. It's just what I was looking for! It's pretty quiet - just a slight fan noise, but it blends in with all the ambient computer noises we have in the studio. I've kept in mind previous reviews saying it's not cold enough for food storage, so I put most food related things in the communal fridge, but it's been keeping my cream cold and unspoiled just fine (which I'm super happy with, since that's what I got it for). All in all, definitely recommend it!

Amazing little unit! It holds a 6pk of 12oz cans without issue! I am (so far) with the temp it keeps my drinks. No it is not as "cold" as a full-size fridge! You will never get that in a low power unit. Quiet! Doesn't overload a circuit. I was able to have it plugged into the same plug as my "hot plate" and it did not trip the switch. I would recommend this Mini Fridge for a small office any day of the week.

My workplace does not allow true mini-fridges (the kind with coolant) so this is perfect for me to enjoy cold food and drinks while not violating workplace rules. I probably wouldn't keep perishables in here long-term as the temperature isn't regulated like a real fridge, but it keeps my lunch and sodas quite cold until lunchtime. This fits a soda, yogurt, and sandwich, but you are not going to fit big leftover containers in here. The fan does make noise, but after a few days I stopped noticing it and nobody who comes into my office has ever noticed it so it is certainly not obtrusive. I like it enough to buy a 2nd one for long car trips.

What a great little cooler! I had it running overnight with four cans of seltzer inside and am happy to report it kept the cans very cold but not to the point of freezing/explosion. I wouldn’t mind if it got the drinks just a tad bit colder but I am satisfied, given the reasonable price point. I like having the option of powering it up in my car but I doubt I’ll ever travel with it.

I needed a small fridge that would fit on my bathroom counter to store both a prescription for me and prescription cat food. This little guy is just the right size, works great, and as an added bonus, cool mini retro look. Can also use it when I travel instead of cool packs. Kudos to the designers and manufacturers.

This little personal fridge is very handy in the office; it sits right on top of my desk. I no longer need to bring ice packs to keep my food cold while at work. Our office fridges smells and various science projects are growing in it. So the Chefman personal fridge has put my mind at ease. It is very quite and keeps my food chilled. Today I have a quart cup of soup, celery sticks, Babybel cheese, and a can of seltzer water. I don't have to worry about anybody's grubby little hands touching and moving my food!!!

This is not a real refrigerator so don't expect to be able to put everything in it. But... it works great for drinks and snacks that need to be kept cool. The biggest thing I can fit inside is a Minute Maid 59 fl oz (1.75L) box if I flatten the top.

...is not what I use it for, but it does cool to about the perfect temperature for many 'craft' beers. It works pretty well- these won't get your drinks *ice* cold, but will cool down to the mid 40s in a mid 70s room. Initially, I thought mine was broken after it only cooled to the mid to high 50s over 3 days. After moving it from my desk top to a roomier location under my desk it started working as expected. So- realize that you really do need some space around the fridge or it will not cool very well. I use it to chill soylent and some various cans or tetrapaks of other beverages. It would probably fit six normal cans. It fits about 4 taller bottles (like soylent). I can't hear it in my office, but an office with less ambient noise may not mask the slight sound that it emits. It is about as loud as a quiet laptop fan.

This is an updated review. The fridge met my expectations for cooling cans of soda for three months. I was very satisfied. Then, although the fan worked, the fridge stopped cooling. I left a review stating my satisfaction with the fridge until it stopped working. It was tool late to return it, so I chalked it up as a loss. The Chefman team immediately replied to my review without me contacting them. They asked if I would like a replacement, and of course I said yes. I got the new fridge three days later, and it is doing a fine cooling job. Now, that's superb customer service.
