I have had my Zen water fountain for my kitties for years and I love the fact that when the motor gives out I only need to replace it and not the entire fountain.

My cats and dog love the drink well and when the pump stopped working they just sat and stared at it! While I was waiting for this replacement pump, I took the center fountain out, but they didn't like drinking from it without the fountain feature. Once I put the new pump and the fountain back in all 4 cats huddled around to get a drink. I'm so glad replacement pumps are available. It would be useless as a fountain without the pump, and again....my kitties love the fountain feature!. Fast shipping. Good price. The first pump lasted 4 years so if I get 4 years out if this one I'll be happy.

Fits my Fountain perfectly. Most important instructions they never tell you: --Always use filtered (non mineral) water! -- always use a foam pre-filter in front of it -- clean often with vinegar and a tiny brush. These things are fragile. Last one failed when the wires broke coming out of the housing.

I had been sooooo frustrated with this pump motor as I replaced the one that came with my brand new unit about a year after I bought it. Then, only a couple months later, the new one quit working! I was really upset and knew I had seen some reviews about the same thing. I reviewed the page again to read the instructions on cleaning to ensure I wasn't missing anything. The only thing I struggled with in the past was cleaning the inside of the motor unit. I religiously clean every single part of the Drinkwell fountain, filters, etc. at least twice each week, but was still having issues and still saw little black specs floating in the water. I didn't think my motor pump would actually open up as described (I figured mine was slightly different than described on line), but low and behold, the tiny little seam in the plastic DOES open if you get your fingernail in there. And it comes off pretty easily. Then you can remove the inside parts as described on the seller's page and clean them thoroughly, adding a drop of vegetable oil on the inside metal pin as described. Voila! It worked! It even worked on the "old" one that I set aside months ago thinking it was trash. Now I have two that work. I can't tell you how excited I was to fix both of these and now realize how quickly all that "gunk" builds up inside the motor and must be cleaned to operate correctly over time. Give it a try -- you'll be so much less frustrated and won't have to buy a whole new fountain.

Needed to replace the pump in my ceramic petsafe drinkwell, old one was just sputtering. Install took about 1 minute, max, as it is just suction cups, and the new pump is once again blasting water away for my fur babies. Remember to run the power cord down the opening in the middle of the bowl, and then out under the bowl (where are openings down there for the cord) to keep it out of the water!

So this is a replacement for our drinking fountain. The last one lasted over 5 years. I didn’t buy the one with the flow control as our fountain (Petsafe drinkwell original) works best on max flow. The only thing with this is that the silicon stop doesn’t come in the new unit. This is awkward to change over. I just want to write this to give my technique for switching it over. 1. Cut the old cord and take the silicon stop off. It is a tight fit over the connector plug. 2. Take a standard sharpie pen top. Cut the clip part off and ensure the top is smooth. 3. Very lightly grease the top. Cooking oil will work. 4. Push the silicon stop on the pen top with the top of the ‘t’ first. 5. Insert the connector inside the open end of the pen top. 6. Slide the silicon stop over the end of the pen top and over the connector on to the wire. Simple to do once you know the method but near impossible to push it right over the connector. Hope it helps people.

I bought a replacement pump for my cats' drinking fountain, and it works fine. You might want to buy a set of brushes to clean it with. Cleaning it is not so hard, it snaps together like Lego blocks, but you need brushes and little hook-shaped thing to take it apart. BTW: I thought my old pump wasn't working, but actually, the problem turned out trying to be using the filters in a cold room. I didn't know this before, but the filters don't work when it is below 50 degrees Fahrenheit, it slows down your pump to a trickle. If your pump is slow and you have it in a cold room, try taking the filters out to see if it is the pump, or just the filters.

The original pump went out on my porcelain water fountain, and this item shipped quickly, didn't cost a lot, and saved the day for my little blind cat, who finds the fountain by its sound. Thank you!

Cats are drinking with this new powerful pump. Works perfectly with the PetSafe Drinkwell 360. I will tell you we had vet problems all the time until we bought this little baby. The pump died and we freaked out. Thank you, Amazon for the two-day prime support. I do have to say you should have come to Charlotte, NC with your East Coast Amazon HQ2. Raleigh has nothing on CLT.

Our cat got ill and mucous clogged the original pump. After clearing it a handful of times, the pump finally gave up. I love that they sell this replacement part which enabled us to keep using the relatively pricey fountain that our cats have grown to love.
