The Oasis is my third Kindle (having had the Kindle Keyboard and 2nd-gen Paperwhite before). I bought a case for each, and each case was just OK. I figured, for the price I was willing to spend, it was what it was. WRONG! I installed the MoKo case a little more than an hour ago and it's better than any case I've used thus far. It's made of fake leather, on the outside, but it's feel is nice and provides some needed grip to the slippery Oasis Al case. With the front cover folded back, it's actually more comfortable to hold than a naked Oasis, which I wasn't expecting. The look is also better than I expected. I've had the unfortunate experience of product ads seemingly using "glamour shots", only to have some cheap-looking version of it arrive a couple of days later... This one looks better than the pics and, subjectively, is exactly what I was looking for! I'll add some pics for you to see.

The 2017 Oasis is nice, light, and thin, but that's actually a little bit of a negative. The Moko case adds very little thickness or weight, but gives enough protection to not worry about minor mishaps. The case is also slightly textured and adds a significant amount of anti-slip and better grip. Perfect fit; full access to USB charging and power-button. Will wake/sleep the kindle.

When I preordered my 2017 Oasis, I also preordered the official fabric standing cover in indigo for 45 bucks. Like many, I discovered the magnets didn't hold well. Because the metal back of the 2017 Oasis is so slippery, I tried leaving the cover on while reading, but the cover was easily dislodged even when simply shifting from one hand to the other. I ended up only using the official cover to store the Oasis in when not reading. I was also nervous about carrying the Oasis in the disappointingly non-protective official case so I just left it at home on my bedside table. As soon as this Moko case was announced, I ordered one. It arrived today, and I couldn't be happier. It fits around all four corners, so the Oasis is snug inside, but the long left side is not completely closed, making it relatively easy to pop out should I ever want to change the case or read without it. The sleep/wake function works perfectly, and the power button and charging port are completely accessible. Best of all, it now feels completely secure in my hand. The weight of the Oasis with the Moko cover is 311 grams (approx 11 ounces), making it 41 grams (1.5 ounces) heavier than the weight of my Voyage with the very lightweight Hotcool case; however, thanks to weighted design of the Oasis, it feels much more comfortable to hold one-handed during long reading sessions. I am thrilled with this purchase, which only cost about a third of the price I paid for the official cover. I'm returning that one today!

Very cute design, and the magnets work perfectly to keep the case closed. I like the sleep/wake feature with the magnets as well - I didn't even realize that when I bought it! The kindle fits snuggly within the case, the buttons and access points are easy to get to, and I haven't had any major issues so far. The outside is a slightly gloss finish that is nice because it can be wiped down and doesn't seem to pick up any lint, etc. My one recommendation to make these even better is to somehow make the edges of the front cover a little less stiff. I usually hold the kind in one hand with some of my fingers between the font and back of the cover for stability, and the edge digs in to my skin a little. This is a VERY minor issue and isn't one at all if you hold the case in any other position. Overall, I am very satisfied!

UPDATE 3/14/18 4.5 stars. MOKO CUSTOMER SERVICE IS EXCELLENT. I know that MoKo takes pride in their product. The case is of high quality and has a luxury feel to it. It is also sturdy, and I know that this case will protect my kindle from drops. Works as advertised, it wakes up the kindle as you open the flap. And all this, for a very affordable price tag. Lack of 0.5 star due to weight. I guess I cant expect a luxurious and protective case to come light, can I? XD ---- Does the job, however using the Kindle just wrapped in a plastic for a couple days though, you realize how light the Oasis is. It almost justifies the expensive price tag. However, with the case, it defeats the purpose of spending a couple hundred bucks on an ergonomic kindle. The case is just that heavy.

I got a Kindle Oasis for my birthday and wanted a nice case to carry it around in my bag. I love the "old leather book" look of this case. It fits very nicely on the Kindle and doesn't add much weight. The auto wake/sleep feature is nice, too - close the "book," done. I considered taking a star off since the case isn't really waterproof. The Kindle Oasis is waterproof, but I can see where this would possibly soak up some water if it landed in a puddle or if you dropped it in the tub. The outside vinyl is fine, I wouldn't hesitate to get that wet; but the inside is a softer material that doesn't appear waterproof. On the other hand, I'm not really swimming with this thing so I'm not taking the star; the case, as it is, stands up to my expectations.

Perfect case for the Kindle Oasis. Fits perfectly and the quality is just as good as an Amazon case.

*** Another UPDATE 03/25/19 I just noticed that the cover has a warranty. I contacted the seller and they are sending me a new case to replace the broken one. Absolutely no hassle involved. I have adjusted the star rating because of that. Great customer service! You can’t go wrong because they stand behind their product. ***UPDATE- 03/23/19. I wanted to write an update because I think I may have been overly harsh because the edge of the plastic broke. I’m not sure why the corner broke as I have never dropped the kindle oasis. I was able to super glue the small piece that broke off back on. One of the photos I took shows the corner after the super glue repair. It seems to be a sturdy fix. This case does fit very well though. After looking at several other brands I think this fits better than most others. The plastic frame (the part that a small piece broke off) wraps around the kindle fully protecting it from a fall. The only exposed parts are where there is a cut out for the USB port and a cut out for the power button. I also like that the back follows the battery hump instead of leveling it out because it makes it easier to grip. For the money it’s a nice case. While it’s not real leather, it is attractive imitation of leather with a decent feel. Real leather would make this cost a lot more as well. *** I have had this cover for a few months now. It fits well, and turns the kindle oasis screen off automatically via magnet. The problem I have with it is that the corner or the plastic broke. A very small piece broke when I was removing the kindle from the case. The case still works and protects the kindle but I’m disappointed the corner broke. If I could find a high end case I’d definitely buy it as the oasis was not a cheap piece of kit.

Ok, so after reading over a gazillion reviews and searching the web, I decided to try this MoKo case so I had something to protect my new Oasis while I waited for the leather case I ordered to arrive. My initial reaction was 5 stars for the cover designs and variety, somewhere between 3-4 stars for the cover. Now, after having used both the cover and the Oasis for several weeks, I'm glad I waited to write the review. My less than stellar initial feelings were really due more to getting used to the Oasis itself and not the cover. The cover fits the Oasis like a glove. It slips right in, and it also slips right off, if you want to change covers. The covers themselves have a nice feel to them....not quite like natural leather, but not cheap and plasticy either. The magnetic cover works well, staying tightly closed until I open it to wake up the device. I can either hold it open so it has more of a 'book' feel or fold it back behind the kindle. I've always had solid color, blue or black leather Kindle covers, and the Starry Night artwork is a nice change. Now to my earlier comment about my initial lower star feeling: I switched from a 1st Generation paperwhite to the Oasis. The Paperwhite was a bit smaller and had more of a true book feel to it. The Oasis, which I like for the larger size, has an more odd shape, in that it's thicker on one side where the battery is and isn't flat on both the front and back like the Paperwhite was. It's is not MoKo's fault the case is shaped as it is. Several days ago, my genuine leather cover arrived. Yes, the feel of the material is just a bit nicer than the MoKo, BUT it has the exact same form-fitting shape as the MoKo AND there were some manufacturing defects that to me, make the MoKo the superior cover. If it should get damaged, or if I decide I want another design or color, I will get this came case from Moko again. For the quality, options and price it can't be beat.

Unbeatable for the price. Form fitting and doesn't add much bulk to the Oasis. The biggest flaw of the gen 2 Oasis is the slippery and cold metal back. This case adds a much needed grippable surface and also masks the cold feel of the metal. With the cover folded back, it is comfortable to hold in one hand while reading in bed, something that is difficult with the slippery Oasis alone or with the official case. The case doesn't look "premium", but it is well made and doesn't look cheap either. There is no annoying logo or branding on the cover, which is something I really hate about the official Amazon cover. It should offer good enough protection if dropped. It's hard to say if it will last long. But for $10 you can easily buy another one. I have the official cloth case, which I like, but this is now my favorite and will increase how much I use the gen 2 Oasis.
