Excellent battery life. 2 month installed and still at a 100% Great coverage. Installed on a 50m2 livingroom

The sensor paired up with VERA home controller without any issues. I have been using Z Wave for less than a year and am very satisfied with the stability and feedback. The box contained the sensor, a ceiling Recessor (in wall/ceiling mount), a mounting arm (for surface mount), a double sided tape pad, and a USB cable. The sensor itself is small, roughly a 2" cube. Using the surface mount was expected to have a standoff of 2.5 to 3 inches. If I was in an apartment or renting, I may have opted for the surface mount. I wanted to minimize the visual impact of this so opted for the recessed mounting. We installed the sensor in the ceiling covering three doors. I found a drinking cup in the kitchen that is the rough size for use as a template. Then used a small saw to cut the hole. Your template should cover the inside ring on the Recessor, NOT the outside flange. The Recessor allows for a large margin for error in cutting the hole (~1/4 to 1/2 inch). The installation was easy and looks great. Apparently, this can operate on one or two batteries. It comes with one (as stated in the description). I have a couple of flashlights that use this battery so keep them around the house. Product literature indicates up to 24 months between battery changes with two batteries. I expect less than that because oft the way I am using it. Alternatively, you can power the sensor from a USB cable. I don't expect that most people have a USB power source near where you would want to install it though. After the first night, I discovered a piece of paper covering the sensor. This was an attempt to turn off the LED which was distracting. Every time motion is sensed, the LED turns on for a moment. It can be turned off by setting parameter 81 to '1' (disable). The LED will continue to function for other sensors (light, temp,...) though it does not appear as distracting since they are polled less frequently (I think).

Sensor works well with Home Assistant and was easy to install. "Recessor" makes it a clean unobtrusive installation.

This is by far a much higher quality sensor. I have several different brands. This sensor is heaver and never gives false alarms. Aeotec is my new favorite brand. Well worth the price!
