These are gorgeous

This railing is so nice looking and for the price it was beyond great! Please read and re read the instructions! There is a trick!!! It will tell you to drill the holes one size but that only applies if you are using the plastic drywall plugs. Double check the size before you drill! We ended up spending extra money and drilling all new holes because of this issue. Cost us extra money to fix this mistake.

Great product, heavy duty hardware, perfectly suited my needs. I hung a garden screen, so did have to add blocks to the back to accommodate the thickness a door would have. One screen stationary, one that slides/rolls smoothly. Installed and working easily for a few months.

Heavy duty great quality.

I just got this and it’s exactly what I wanted. I have always loved the barn door look and we got this to use in our bedroom going into the bathroom. The package was a lot heavier than I thought it would be so that equates to sturdiness and that equates to quality. After I opened this up I found it was true. It is very well made and heavy duty. The color is black and looks like it won’t be flaking anytime soon. We haven’t made the door yet to show pics but as soon as I do I will post the pics. I can’t wait to get this done. I may even buy another for my closet door too.

Very smooth gliding.

Glides very smoothly. We diy'ed our barn door and this works perfectly. The directions were short and sweet and detailed enough that we weren't reading 10 pages of how to install it. It gave measurements of where to hang everything and we followed that, fits perfect and looks very nice. There was no chips to the paint and the metal is very solid and heavy duty. My fiancé was able to hang on the bar (he's about 220lbs) once we put it up so we knew for sure it would hold a heavy door. The screws are long and heavy duty as well.

Great product at an excellent price

Great product at an excellent price. I built a solid ambrosia maple barn door. It is very important to do your own measurements as the diagram in the package is inaccurate. The door I built weighs about 120 lbs., and this system holds it well. If you are mounting a door over traditional molding, you may need to put a spacing board between the track on the wall (see pictures below). A lot of people use cheap fence boards for the door. If you spend a little extra on beautiful wood, it will be quite stunning.

After looking for a solution at home and shopping lowes, home depot, and hoods, I decided to forgo the project because of price of hardware, on a whim I checked out Amazon (Prime), and found this solution Penson & Co. Sliding Barn Door Hardware Set Black 6.6 FT - Antique Style It arrived quickly, and complete, instructions were good, I had the hardware mounted in less than 30 minutes onto a brick wall. I would say skill set required was low, I did have to use a hammer drill to insert anchors in the brick wall. Second task was to buy a door, couldn't find one I liked so my 4 hour late night project with my wife providing much needed design advice rendered this completed project. I highly recommend this product.

Great Value

Upon opening the box, I was very disappointed that the track bar was thin and flimsy however, all of the other parts was solid and satisfactory. After I finished the installation, I noticed when looking across the track bar that it was wavy. I did my best to loosen and tighten certain areas but it didn't do much. As for the track bar, there's 4 sections where lag bolts go. Each end of the track has a stopper in which you can adjust to how far you want it to stop. The stoppers comes with 2 tiny allen wrench screws. I broke all 4 because they machine the holes too small. I had to improvised by riveting the stoppers. With only two concerns that I have, I'm still giving it a 5 star because it's inexpensive, nice finish, strong brackets.

Words cannot describe how PLEASED I am with this product!!! I built the door from scratch, with no plans...just off the top of my head, so I was worried that it wouldn't fit. Thanks to the versatility of the hardware, it could be easily adapted to mine (and practically ANY) barn door, DIY or pre-fab!!! The door glides SO SMOOTHLY and SO GENTLY!!! My ONLY ISSUE: The instructions consisted of pictures with few words and numerical values, some of which were incorrect. HOWEVER, with a fair dose of COMMON SENSE, one could complete each step to perfection with relative ease!!!

Five stars all the way. Quality is excellent, delivery was timely, directions were easy as pie and you can't beat the price. My local hardware store wanted 150 bucks for this same hardware. Don't even hesitate if your on the fence, just buy this one. We made our door out of cedar and it came out beautiful. I'm attaching pictures.
