We bought this because mail thieves have been going through mail boxes in our neighborhood. This mail box is nice looking and not huge like some of the locking boxes. We like the rear entry and the drop down of mail in front. Our neighbor liked ours so much he also bought one. It probably would not hold up to a crow bar but it works for the drive by thieves that are just grabbing and go.

Really like this mailbox. Big enough to accommodate small parcels but not so big it looks out of place. Love that it opens from the back so that the user doesn’t have to go to curb to insert or extract mail. Nice, durable glossy black finish. Comes with two keys. Two thumbs up on this one!

My neighborhood has a line up of residential boxes, this one is the beefiest, without looking overly industrial. I feel it is adequately secure and will hold a few days worth of mail and thick catalogs if you are gone for a few days to a week. I like the clip inside that hides your outgoing mail as well. The small key is not well-fitting, but is typical of other residential locking mailboxes I have had.

My wife & I are very pleased with this mailbox. We decided to go with a new locking mailbox after our neighborhood started having mail thefts and I had a prescription stolen out of ours. This is more secure than other I looked at, its mail slot is designed so there's no way a hand can get past it like other designs we looked at. Some other locking mail boxes had mail slots that were so big that a hand could easily reach past them to steal the mail, not this one. It has a nice lock on it and it's a heavily-made box made with galvanized steel. It's a good secure mailbox and large enough to hold your mail while you're away on vacation. Good looking too!

Our old mailbox and post were all one piece and made of aluminum. Unfortunately it was knocked down and all had to be replaced. This mailbox works great and the metal post that was suggested is very sturdy and looks good. The mail delivery person really likes the box because of its size and we like the fact that it locks and has doors to retrieve the mail on both the front and back sides.

This mailbox is very well constructed. The only thing that can reach into it to steal your mail is an octopus. After our neighborhood had been hit with a rash of mail thefts the time to stop it was now. I attached the box securely to the post cross bars with a 3/4" x 9 and 1/2" x 14" exterior rated hardwood pad with 5/16" x 1 and 1/2" (L) carriage bolts/nuts/washers. I drilled the pad into the cross posts with multiple 2 and 3/4" stainless steel deck screws and then secured the box to the pad with the carriage bolts. Once you torque down the carriage bolts their seat will embed into the bottom shelf of the box and basically be flat. - the box isn't going anywhere. The keys to the box go in upside down (just a tip) and take a couple of cycles to go in smoothly when new.

We had our mail stolen and a credit card opened fraudulently as a result. Decided to replace the mailbox so to ensure no more mail is stolen. The mailbox was bricked but I hired a person to take apart and rebuild so to fit this box. It worked, this fit wonderfully with just a bit of re-figuration on brick and making sure sticks out just enough for door to easily fully open. Mailbox is very sturdy and made nicely so to prevent mail theft. I’d highly recommend and wished I had changed out years ago.

This is a very well made, well designed mailbox. It is secure, easy to install and came with 4 keys. I especially like the way I can access the contents through the rear door rather than have to retrieve my mail from the street.

I did my research on mailboxes before selecting this particular one. I use to have a post office box until the price went up to $100/year. I decided to purchase a locking mailbox one time that will last a very long time. It is steel, and is embedded in the ground with a steel post in cement. I like the fact that I can unlock the mailbox from behind, eliminating the need to step out into the street to get my mail.

We’ve had mail theft occurrences in our home and neighborhood recently, hence compelled to look for a lockable mailbox. We purchased the Architectural Oasis 360 mailbox in Pewter, along with the Architectural Mailbox 7540B-10 Adapter plate. We’re very happy with both purchases overall. 1) shoutout to the Seller for delivering the mailbox sooner than the stated delivery date. 2) We wanted the black mailbox initially but it would’ve taken several weeks to deliver, so we settled for pewter instead. We ended up loving it, better than the black! 3) We recommend buying the 4x4 adapter plate with the mailbox. It secures the box properly and makes installation much easier. The only constructive comment we have is that it would be nice if the mounting hardware for the adapter plate came with a protective cap to avoid scratching hands when we retrieve the mail. 4) best of all, I believe my mails are much more secure now because of the L-shape metal opening (Shute) that deters pulling the mail from the open slit. We originally purchased from Amazon another locked mailbox from a competitor with a slit that fits a female adult size hand to allow access and pull out the mail or package from inside. The box got returned immediately.
