Nice lift for the price

I mounted the hoist very easily on my garage rafters using a piece of black pipe. I use this to pull my garage attic steps up and down since they are heavy wood. The lifting straps that come with it are great also. I also use it to pull larger objects into the attic. Great lift.

Partsam 440 lbs Hoist is GREAT!

I love this easy to set up and easy to operate Partsam 440 lbs Hoist. I am a disabled, hi-tech engineer with plenty of years to live, so this thing really helps me get around in unusual circumstances and maneuver unusual objects. Make sure you know what you're doing with this hoist, because it is a seriously powerful piece of equipment. The specs are very easy to understand and you must be aware of safety standards and issues. It's not being sold as a pretty medical device, yet I know what I am doing and I do not operate it alone. I'm sad to say my physical disabilities will keep me from working again. So, I don't get "brave and cocky" with serious accomplishments. This hoist has been a real life-saver to me, especially in the lifting of small and very normal objects around the house that anyone could easily lift with a hand or two. Partsam makes a whole range of the same and other hoists, yet in VERY DIFFERENT weight classes that are nicely listed in its marketing and user manual publications. Engineers like that a lot! Perfect for my application - snowblower in garage

I bought this to get our snowblower out of the way for the 360 days of the year we don't need or use it. The Lift works perfectly! Easy to install and, when combined with a Unistrut Strut Channel, is incredibly solid. I am happy to get back a bunch of garage floor space - and have instant access to our snowblower. I will buy a second one this spring to replace my manual Jeep Wrangler hard top lift/hoist. Five stars.

this works perfect, and its affordable

We needed an electric winch to lift heavy items to the loft of our barn. It may take some engineering to get it to fit your actual install location if it's not attached to a steel tube (like pictured in the ad), but once plugged in, this works perfect, and its affordable!

Great hoist for home use.

For about $100, this is a great electric hoist. The added "lifting slings" are great, and they are rated at 3,000 pounds!!! There are a lot of companies on Amazon selling these hoists for about the same price, but the added "lifting slings" are a plus. Easiest way to mount the hoist is by using a piece of Unistrut. Place the Unistrut with the open end down, in the provided brackets and use the holes in the back side of the Unistrut to bolt to a beam or joist. Easiest way to fix the short control cable (5 feet) is to cut the remote cable in the middle and wire in a piece of "16/4 soow" cable (16 gauge, 4 conductor), with butt splices, and electrical tape the splices. The remote cable is 4 wire, 18 gauge, but since you are extending it, I suggest 16 gauge or larger. The wire is carrying 120 volts, so make sure whatever you use it is rated for at least this voltage. (Look for "16/4 soow" on Ebay and you can purchase 10 to 25 foot lengths there.)

Works great. I ordered 2. One 440 Lbs I use to move thing up and down from the garage attic and one 1320 Lbs I use the lift pickup shell up and off truck - making it a one person job. Also use it when working on ATV etc. Both work great although the 1320 Lbs arrived with broken fan shroud. I send request for replacement shroud to both Amazon and Partsman but never heard back from either.

Perfect for garage attic lift

I used this to hoist storage items into my garage attic. I have it suspended above the attic ladder. This was easy to instal with some u-channel and works very well. If I could change anything, it would be to have a longer cord for the control buttons, but it is on par with the standard length and is still very usable. The included lift straps were perfect as well, and wise thing to include. This product has saved my back from dragging holiday decorations up and down the attic ladder.

Great Value Hoist

Easy install. Works as advertised. Perfect for my needs. My only comment - Supplied lifting straps had attachment rings a little too large for the hoist hook.

Tired of lifting all your totes back up into the rafters after the holidays ?

This thing is “Awesome”! I’m using it to lift totes off the ground to my rafters for extra storage in the garage. Went down to our local “Habitat for humanity”♻️ and found the perfect size metal shelf from a kitchen shelving unit. Bought another short strap to match the one the hoist came with. And with 4 eye bolts. I’m in business. Thanks Amazon for making this project a success. The only advice I can give you is to; know what your lifting as in the weight of your items and give yourself one size up in hoist capacity.
