These are very good mushrooms. I am pleased with their taste, texture, ease of prep. I did as others suggested and heated in microwave, covered until cool, put in refrigerator overnight for use the next day. I have used in omelets (sliced thin), Chinese hot and sour soup, chicken and broccoli, lo mein. Plan to try in other recipes such as brown gravy over Salisbury steak, open faced sandwiches, etc. There are quite a lot of them in the package, and should go a long way for quite a while. I don't drive much these days and nice to have delivered to me. Would buy again from this seller.

These are not considered the highest quality mushrooms I have ever purchased as the sizes vary. But I don't care if they are all the same size. What matters to me is flavor and if they are affordable. These are just as good as the much more expensive ones. Great shiitake taste and this is the best price I have found. I can use as many as I want with these which I didn't do with shiitake sold by the ounce. I am cooking them with black beans for lunch today. They provide a chewy/meaty addition to beans and vegetarian chilies.

Ready to cook after soaking in water for eight hours. Slice them, quarter them, or leave them whole. Recommend cooking them in the microwave before adding to whatever you're preparing. (I read that cooking mushrooms in a microwave, or grilling them, insures that no nutrients are lost). I will buy them again.

These have great flavor! I also put some in my high-speed blender and made a powder that I add some other herbs to. It makes a wonderful soup base. Very very delicious.

These were such a great purchase. I love mushrooms but fresh ones can be hard to keep. And shiitake can be pricey. Dried is definitely the way to go. After you rehydrate you can’t really tell they were dried. I’m really happy with these.

...Love these dehydrated 'shrooms. They re-hydrate very well. I place them in boiling water and let them sit over night. They are great in chow mein, fried in butter with onions and made into soup. I even eat the stems that they say to remove. Good item...

I love these mushrooms. A very good value and they are almost as good as fresh ones for a fraction of the price. Use a coffee press to rehydrate them it works great.

I like the fact that these mushrooms may be used whole or cut in half (after reconstituted) because they're mostly smallish in size but thick, which I prefer. Smaller mushrooms mean whatever dish you are preparing will look appealing, it's easier to pick up with a pair of chopsticks, and the mushroom may be eaten in one bite. I made steamed pork hash for hubby and a vegetarian monk's dish for me for New Year's Eve and making dumplings tomorrow. The taste is good! Pleased with this purchase.

Great item! I previously got a mixed dried mushrooms from Costco which I didn't enjoy as much. The bag is small because they are dried. Let them soak in a bowl of water overnight and then cut them into slices and you'll have more than you can imagine. Bag goes a long way if you do it this way. Very glad to have found this item on Amazon.

I love the flavor of dehydrated mushrooms in soups. The price is quite high for a small amount at WF, so I tried these as an option. It is a LARGE bag of dried mushrooms so one has to have a frequent need for these to make the purchase worthwhile. They are sealed in a thick bag with no punctures thus they will remain stable for a long time. The mushrooms are fairly uniform in size so forethought appears to have been given to proper harvesting. Most importantly, they taste delicious in soups and other dishes with a price that is unbeatable.
