These lights are very good and customer service does what they say their going to. Was extremely pleased I didn't have to go through Amazon customer service because I've had bad experiences with them in the past. Thanks Wellmax for taking care of your customers!!

Good purchase

Great kit! it is weatherproof, but to insure it was submersible I applied a small bead of silicone to the main seam and the wire holes. If they raised the price slightly and added shrink-tubing for the wire connections it would be a perfect set with nothing to improve save for the application of the silicone.

Lights Work Great!

Work exactly as I would've expected. Very easy wiring and good quality! I had the trail blazed already for me since I was refurbishing the trailer so I replaced the original wiring. You have to make sure all the white wires are grounded to bare metal on the trailer. May write more in the future as I see how well these hold up to the elements. So far so good!

I would prefer better wire splices

Kit is complete. I would prefer better wire splices, so I used my own with rubber shrink tubes over them so they will not have a problem with wet weather. I would also suggest a metal license plate bracket because my situation puts the bracket low and if it ever bottoms out, I think it would break quite easily. I solved that potential problem with a piece of aluminum and a few minutes with a drill and a few small nuts and bolts. The lights are very bright, and everything worked right away with no problems.

Good Instructions

I used the existing wiring on the trailer, as just the lights were melted being close to a fire, but was still easy to figure out what wire went where. Got all hooked up, nothing worked, checked the ground wire to the trailer, bingo ! so make sure you have a good ground.

Excellent quality bright lights, and ample wire. Great quality components.

UPDATE to the UPDATE (increased rating from 2 starts to 5 stars): I contacted Wellmax about the problem I had with the Copper Clad Aluminum (CCA) wiring. They got back to me immediately! They assured me they always use full copper wires (and never use CCA wire because they fully understand the poor durability of CCA) but would check with their supplier. In the mean-time, they sent me a replacement wiring harness and I received it in just a few days. Upon close inspection, it is truly copper wire and not CCA. I suspect their supplier slipped in a few CCA wire harnesses and I was victim of one of them. Thank you Wellmax. Everything else about this kit is top-notch as well and recommend this kit. UPDATE (lowered rating from 5 stars to 2 stars): Beware that the wiring provided is made from copper clad aluminum (CCA) wire. Which means the wiring is made from aluminum and is very prone to quickly oxidizing and becoming very bridle. It starts out being fragile, and just gets worse over time and with exposure to the elements. I live in a fairly rainy environment and the core wire within the ground wire (white) disintegrated within 6 months and was no longer usable (the full length of the wire was fully oxidized). Since the wire is molded into the main plug, I now need to replace all the wiring. I will be replacing the wiring with 16 gauge copper wire (no aluminum). If you live in a very dry climate, the copper clad aluminum may be fine for you. The other components of this kit are great quality and have had no problems with them. Copper clad aluminum wire is aluminum wire which has been treated with small amounts of copper electroplating. The amount of actual copper cladding on the wire is extremely minute and is mainly applied to give the appearance of being copper. When new, it appears to look like copper wire on the outside, but beneath the extremely thin coating of copper is the cheap aluminum. CCA is used to reduce the cost because copper is a lot more expensive than aluminum. ORIGINAL POST: This package contained all I needed to replace all the lighting and wiring on my utility trailer. Lights appear to be excellent quality. When ordering, I was worried that the length of the wire would be short, but I was very pleasantly surprised to find the length to be way more than I needed for my 12 foot trailer. Included good instructions. The included license plate holder was a nice bonus, which I used to replace the bent-up rusted metal one. I definitely recommend this kit. First trip out with the trailer was 4 hours on the interstate highway, all through heavy rain. All the LED lights shined bright all the way.

Pretty Simple Install but Check Your Ground First

Due the hot weather in Phoenix now we chose to just replace the light fixtures now and replace wiring later unless there is a wiring problem now. Our wiring was working EXCEPT the ground wire was broken in two at the hitch (trailer side) and it wasn’t obvious at first. If I was going to give advice I would say to always check for a solid ground FIRST. The instructions are very basic and don’t mention the white ground wire on each rear light fixture. While it seems obvious now it was not in the beginning because our old rear fixtures had their ground connection with the mounting bolts inside the fixture, i.e. no exterior wire like these new fixtures. Instructions just need to be spruced up or a loose insert in the box and possibly with a web site that would cover these clarifications. Love the LED’s and would buy again.

This kit is great. For someone who has never installed trailer lights I just watched a few YouTube videos. I didn't end up using the connectors for the side lights. the blue pinchy things. It didn't work for me no matter how I tried. I am sure this is just me and not the kit. Easy to do without using them. I will update this review after I take this to the lake a few times. So far I am happy

Worked Great

These lights were easy to install and look really good. I installed before taking the boat on a family vacation. They went on great and the LED's look really good. I usually unplug the trailer before backing the boat into the water to avoid and short circuiting. While on vacation, I forgot to unplug it once while backing in. After loading the boat back up, all the lights still worked fine. They seem to be sealed well. Thanks Wellmax. Will definitely order again for my other trailers when needed.

A great kit and excellent customer service

There isn't anything not to like about this kit. It's impossible to put together a kit like this for the same amount of money. The kit includes everything you could need for most installs. The clips didn't quite work for my install so I had to use wiring staples instead. I had an issue with one of the tail lights not completely functioning properly and after contacting customer support they sent me not one, but both tail lights and some additional DOT tape for my troubles. The new light(s) they sent worked perfectly and I appreciate them doing this. I know it's very rare for an LED to not work and instead of drilling me with "are you sure you wired it correctly" they went ahead and sent a new set which resolved my issue.
