2012 Ford Escape Hybrid once again has a working lift gate! I can't remember what we did without Youtube and Amazon for DIY repairs. Glad we don't have to!

OEM replacement

This rear hatch lift gate controller is an exact replacement for the factory oem controller on our 2012 Ford Escape. I googled how to remove the interior panel and change out the controller. It only took a few minutes and works like new.

Perfect fit 5min change out

Actually easy to install

Installation went pretty well except I needed a T-27 star screwdriver to undo the latch screws. So a quick trip to the auto parts store and then no problem. Swapping out the parts did not take much time at all. The you tube video helped a lot and the installation went well and now I can use the rear lift gate again!

Easy install. Just watched YouTube and boom...installed in 10 minutes. Works like OEM.

This works better than the original part on my 2010 Ford Escape! The rear gate opens soooooo smoothly now!
