Brieftons made a good product even better
I really liked my five blade spiralizer, but it had a few minor annoyances. Brieftons fixed them all! The Spriralizer now has space to store all seven blades on the base unit - no more scattered blades. One stores in the guillotine, the rest either on the side or in a compartment on top. The small green lever on the end activates a suction cup that held the unit firmly to my wooden countertop. It didn't budge at all. It even comes with a handy tray(with lid) to catch the spirals. That's more of an improvement than it sounds like, because the spirals are big and floppy and always fell off the edges of my plate. When you're done, the Spiralizer snaps onto the tray, which snaps onto the lid, and you have it all in one handy appliance which is easy to carry and store. Brieftons says you can't spiralize narrow veggies such as carrots, so that's what I tried first. My carrot had a crack down the side, so instead of long spirals I got cute little spirals. The spiralizer has a round hollow metal cylinder on the guillotine side. You spear the end of the veggie onto that, and then push the pronged disk up to hold the other end. As you turn the handle, the outer part of the veggie pushes against the blade, which cuts it off. The metal cylinder/holder acts like a cutter as well, and as you push the veggie through the blade, the center core of it comes out the other side as a thin cylinder. The blades come with blue plastic tape that protects them in shipping, so be sure to take that off before you get too carried away. With the narrow carrot, I got a bowl of thin disks/spirals, paper thin, that I tossed with a scant teaspoon of ranch dressing instead of the tablespoon plus I would use to dunk a whole carrot. The carrot flavor was much more pronounced, maybe because of the increased surface area. The cylinder of carrot I just chomped plain, but they could also be cut up for cooking or eating or saved in the freezer to make soup. This device is a godsend during zucchini season. Spiralized zukes steamed lightly and tossed with pesto sauce? The greenest, tastiest, low carb pesto dish you ever had. Any kind of pasta sauce is good, too. You can use them instead of ramen noodles or put them in soup. You can make potato spirals and bake them in the oven to make oven fries or chips. Brieftons sends you a free PDF cookbook when you register that has lots of good recipes and ideas. I added some photos showing the suction lever, the spiked handle, a carrot in place, the new plastic tray and lid, and the whole thing snapped onto the tray for storage. The white plastic does pick up some color/stain from strongly colored veggies like carrots or beets, mostly in the area near the spike/holder on the blade part. Usually it wipes off, and if it really bugs you, bleach will take care of it ... but it doesn't bug me at all. If you've been on the fence about spiralizing, wait no more! This latest model has it all.

Works for me!
I have very limited counter space and a big Kitchen Aid Food Processor. I decided it was just too big and heavy & took up too much space so I decided to downsize. This Breifton spirilizer fits the bill (and the counter space). and rather than cutting my cabbage into sections first I merely removed the ends, stuck it on the prongs and away I went. It did a fabulous job! Also loved the spirals for my cute little zucchini salad. Very easy to clean, compact, lightweight, small storage space. Basically I think we are going to have an excellent relationship! caveat: I am left handed and while I can make it work I am sure it would be easier if I were not. Despite this issue I still love it! It is just more fun than plain ol' slicing and dicing. I looked for a video on left handed use but did not seem to find one. I dunno. Think I'll look again.

Quality all the way! I've gone Zoodles crazy.
My first spiralizer and I will look no further. I sampled a fabulous recipe at Publix ( local high end grocer) and it had Zoodles in it. So I bought everything to make this recipe because it was one of those recipes that you think about all week and can hardly wait to make it again. Only problem was those Zoodles aren't cheap. So my search began and I was hesitant because I have had other manual slicers etc., and was never able to get them to work QUITE like the ones that were demonstrated. But, with Amazon...you always have the option to return a dud. I will never part with this little ingenious beauty. I have been making everything into curls...even my immature Loofa's. Yes you can eat a Loofa ( or Luffa, however you want to spell it) while they are young and not a sponge yet. I haven't even begun to use all the blades, I'm have so much fun making curls. My counter top has a very slight texture to it and I haven't had a problem at all with this slicer holding tight. Easy to set up, easy to clean and has more than paid for itself already! Check out Zoodles at 5.99 a small container. Definitely buy this...when you can find quality for a reasonable price, don't pass it by!

Luxury in Your Hands
Brieftons spiralizer, simply put is the best on the market. I love this product. It has become an essential item to have in my kitchen. I am a person who firmly believes that the right tool makes a job easier. Some of my friends have different brands of spiralizers and none of them compare to the Brieftons. The customer support is excellent with videos to watch on how to use the product and a free recipes book to download. The 7 blades give you a variety of cuts. They are all labeled with the type of cut that they make and they very neatly store right with the spiralizer. I love the tray for catching your cut vegetables. I can't say enough about this Spiralizer. I am trying to eat very healthy and being able to prepare vegetables easily with minimal clean up has made that goal so much easier. If you are looking for a Spiralizer or just a fun way for you or your kids to prepare food this is the perfect item for you. I had seriously thought about adding the KitchenAid spiralizer blades to my mixer. I am so glad that I did not waste my money when there is a much more inexpensive item that does the same job. Do not waste your money on any other Spiralizers. Brieftons Spiralizer is the best on the market.

Ten stars!!!
Briefton has hit a home run with this unit. This is my 7th spiralizer. I started with the Benriner Turning Slicer many, many years ago as it was one of the first on the market. Then the Paderno 4 blade (worked well but hated the suction feet), the Inspiralizer Lite (would not cut hard vegetables), the Hamilton Beach electric (great unit but very limited to fitting vegetables into chute), the Briefton 02 model with 5 blades (my favorite until now) and the Briefton folding unit (did not like at all). One of the faults of the Briefton 02 was that there was a 5mm and a 5.5 mm blade. I suggested that the 5.5 be changed to larger width and why not, while they're at it, a true curly fry blade. All spiralizers have blades that change the width of the ribbons but the thickness remains constant. This new Briefton model has the identical footprint of their 02 model, in fact, the blades are interchangeable. What it does do is replace the 5.5mm blade with a 12mm blade for paparadelle wide ribbons, and a wavy ribbon blade which creates ripples in the ribbons (these create extra crunch with potatoes), and a curly fry blade that is the real deal. (I also have a clamp-to-=the-counter type dedicated curly fry cutter and this new blade creates the same size cuts.) They have also included a storage tray which doubles to catch the spiralized vegetables, and a secure lid for it for storage. Throw in the most elaborate user guides with color photos of the different vegetables, free online cookbooks and outstanding customer support at a low price and you know why I am so keen on this unit. The wavy ribbon and curly fry blades put this unit far above any other on the market today. The blades are sturdy, easy to change and safe. The unit cleans under running water and the single large clamp is easy to lock and unlock in place. It would make a great gift as well. Bear in mind that I gave a very mediocre review to one of the Briefton spiralaizers and have used many. I try to be honest and will rave over a product that goes the extra mile as Briefton had with this one. The best on the market and fun and easy to use. Built like a tank and lifetime guarantee. What's not to love!!!

New Blades are fantastic
I just tried out the new Brieftons 7-Blade Spiralizer and I really like the additional blades it has to offer. The 12MM makes the zucchini noodles wide like fettuccine for those recipes calling for a wider noodle. I did a potato and beets with the wavy slicer and they came out perfect for chips. The flat blade is great for my cucumbers, onions and this time I put a head of lettuce on it and got amazing shredded lettuce for taco salads or for whatever else you like shredded lettuce for. I've done cabbage the same way before and made a delicious slaw out of it. I'm not a photographer but will submit pictures I took of what I did the other day. It was fast and fun and clean up was a breeze. The unit adheres great to the counter. I think my counter is a little high or I am getting shorter - LOL- and what I found is that my left shoulder would hurt after doing some of the spiralizing. I think I will have to elevate my standing so it's more comfortable. I do have to add, I took my little Quick Fold Brieftons Spiralizer on a trip and the family enjoyed trying it out. We actually had contest to see who could make the longest ribbon out of the veggies. It was fun and I do love that one for quick jobs and traveling. Try the 7-Blade one out, I think you will enjoy the new blades. I forgot to mention the perfect catch container and airtight lid that they generously included with this spiralizer. You probably already read about it or noticed it. It fits snuggly to the machine and becomes a very handy storage bin.

Absolutely the best!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have an older version of this product which I LOVE. When my daughter saw mine she expressed envy as the one she had is from another manufacturer and is not of the same high quality as mine. When I saw this new version I purchased it and had it sent to her. Since she received it her old one has been unused. She donated the old one to a charity. She absolutely RAVES about the quality and performance of this machine. One of the things she hated about her old one was that it would not stay put on the counter when she used it. When you lock this one down it STAYS locked down until you release it and you do not need the strength of a gorilla to lock/unlock it. It works fantastically well. If you want to get into spiralizing or are already into spiralizing and want to upgrade then this is the machine to do it.

Really impressed so far!
I'm really impressed by this spiralizer. I've done raw beets, raw pumpkin...raw just about every hard vegie and it's done them easily and beautifully. I spiralized hard DARK green bananas (the small ones like you can only find at the Asian market) and then fried them up and they were delicious! They taste very much like potatoes but when fried they're crispier than potatoes. My favorite flavor is just simply with sea salt. They were SO yummy! I spiralized a pumpkin, boiled the spirals, then used them instead of noodles in spaghetti. It was really delicious. My favorite part is that everything can go in the dishwasher which is such a time & effort saver. The only thing I've found so far that it doesn't spiralize well is the carrots I buy. They're too small. If I purchased the really huge ones, it would work fine but I don't. Those don't tend to be organic and I only buy organic carrots. But that's ok. I have a hand-held spiralizer that I can use if I need to but I don't find that I need to. I eat a lot of vegies & I don't spiralize ALL my vegies for one meal. I only do one, so leaving carrots not spiralized is fine. It's really fun, though to break it out and go to town spiralizing an entire pumpkin - and fast. Wow! I used one serving of the pumpkin the size of the package in the store (or larger) and froze at least 2 servings, so the ones in the freezer I consider as 'free' to me. The packages in the store were $6.99 each and weren't even organic. The pumpkin I got was organic. :-) Now THAT'S a savings!

Why I love my his product!
Today I opened my 7 blade Brieftons spiralizer and I love it!( I knew I would having used a friend’s prior). It came safely packaged along with a copy of the “ “Inspiralize Everything” Book that I also ordered because I pre read the book and loved the recipes. I cannot recommend both items enough.( The Book makes good ultimate and different types of recipes, that allows me the unending use of the spiralizer more often and in varying flavor combos that I ever even thought possible. The brieftons spiralizer is sturdier than my prior spiralizer and the extra 2 new blades Are awesome for making grandkid favs of curly fries and waffle cut veggie chips(beets!?!... yum!). I also have used spiralized veggies in soups , pot pies and fruits for desserts. So a sturdier spiralizer like this one is safer faster and just more fun. I am Well over 60 and am trying to get Rid of excess fats, white carbs etc.in my diet. Clean up is easy with this product and our first project is 3 generations of my family my dad 92, me 65 and 3 grandkids 10 years plus making pizza toppings for a special supper tonite for the grandkids parents... So 4 generations will enjoy the results of this truly awesome product at supper tonite. Thank you for the reasonable price point as being on a limited income, I appreciate being able to provide healthy alternatives to my family and myself.

Outstanding easy to use spiralizer
I have been "spiralizing" for a couple of years now, I started out with a hand spiralizer (yuk) then went to an inexpensive spiralizer with four blades, it works okay but I have to chase it all over the counter because it has terrible suction. Lately I have been spiralizing quite a bit more and with the peak produce season upon us I decided that it was time for an upgrade. Unfortunately I believed all the hype about "The Inspiralizer" and purchased one. What a mistake, I don't know if I received a defective model or what but it sure didn't work and their customer service was a joke. It had great suction but I couldn't get it to spiralize anything, all I got was chips and slices. Fortunately I was able to return it to Amazon for a refund, but now I had to start my research again. Low and behold up pops the Brieftons Spiralizer, I watched all the videos, read all the reviews and went over the questions and answers and it sure sounded good. I was all set to order the 5 blade model when I saw they introduced two more blades and now had a seven blade model for only a couple bucks more and it also included a storage/catch tray with a lid. Well, I think I am in love, when you lock this down it doesn't move until you unlock it, even if you are spiralizing hard red beets. So far I have done zucchini, red beets, sweet potatoes, onions, potatoes, apples and carrots and everything has come out wonderful and the catch tray actually catches everything. I can't wait to go to our local Farmers Market next week to stock up on more stuff to spiralize, vacuum seal and freeze for winter. This product is outstanding, the blades are very easy to replace and lock in securely and are very east to clean. The instruction booklet that is included has a wealth of information and step by step directions on the use, cleaning, storage and even how to take the whole thing apart to fit it in a drawer. I can honestly say this was one of the best purchases I have made.
