Easily and Safely Moved Hundreds of Pounds of Weight on Tiny Casters

These things are great! At the recommendation of the seller, I purchased these to move an antique, upright grand piano. My estimate of the piano's weight is between 900 and 1200 lbs. The last time we moved it, we had professional piano moving equipment (my father is a piano tuner and repairman) and six adult men. Even with proper equipment and six men, we left indentations in our oak floors. With these felt sliders, two of us moved the piano several feet to make room for painters and left no marks on the floor. As you can see in the photos, the casters on the piano are tiny - perhaps 2" in diameter - and made of steel. Rolling the piano on these casters would have destroyed the floor. Not a single mark or indentation with the X-PROTECTORs. I may just leave them under the casters to make it easy to move for cleaning.

Work Great, make moving things easy

I purchased these items as I just redid my floors in my house and did not want scratches. These are under my 3-piece furniture set which are very heavy. After 3 months, these held up my large 3 cushion (Electric recline) couch which is extremely heavy. Another plus on these as when you sit down (or Jump) onto the chair or couch they do not slide all over the place. This also is great for moving. When I had to move my furniture, I did not care about my floors since, so I gave it a go by sliding it across the wood floor. I'm not the strongest guy in the word and I pushed the love seat and chair across the room with ease and it did not leave any scratches.

makes moving things easy

these are super. we have an extremely heavy couch. with these new sliders and now with new vinyl plank flooring, I can slide the couch easily, by myself, 72 year old woman. Go, women!

Work really well on Vinyl Floor Planking

I just laid vinyl planking in my basement and was very nervous about sliding my two desks across my nice new floor. Found these heavy duty sliders on Amazon, read the reviews and ordered two packages of them (16 sliders in all). They arrived a couple of days later and they work really well. Moving my heavy desks and filing cabinets is now very easy to do - so I just ordered another 2 packages of sliders for other furniture I have down in the basement. Great product, and a very good price. Highly recommended!

Worked really well for moving a couple of pieces of furniture from one room to another.

These worked out excellently. Was having my floors refinished and the contractor wanted to charge me a ridiculous amount to move the furniture. He used these special furniture moving belts and 2 men. Instead, my niece and I popped these under the legs of a breakfront, dresser, bed frame, and huge heavy armoire, and just slid the furniture out of the room. When the refinishing was done and the floors were completely dry and set, I could put everything back and rearrange my furniture with ease. I wouldn't move a whole house of stuff to a moving van with these, but for a couple of pieces of furniture in and out of rooms, these were perfect.

Thick and well made!

I just had my hardwood floors stripped and refinished and didn't want to put the furniture back in the room without pads. Unfortunately, I was so excited to order the sliders and didn't pay attention to the "4 3/4 inch" mentioned in the description! Although I ordered 3 sets (I needed 20 pads), I could only use four because they were larger than I needed for small furniture legs. The pads are thick, nice, and well made. I will use the other four pads in the set for furniture in another room.

Used these to move a HUGE Refrigerator and a stove across wood floor and back onto new floor. They work very well. I had to move the appliances over a saddle so you have to reposition them because they do not stay on where you put them as they are not meant to. Once on a smooth surface, smooth sailing.

Just moved to a home with new hardwood flooring. These are perfect! Buying a 5th set to keep forever under our heavy furniture. These will save our backs when moving furniture to clean under, plus, save our beautiful flooring from scratches. I'm a 56 year old woman and I can effortlessly move our heavy sofa by myself. If someone complains about these, then they wouldn't know happiness if it fell in their lap!

Just what I needed

I needed something to enable me to move my new Sleep Number king size bed. The bed must weigh a thousand pounds, and it is supported by 8 steel legs, each tipped with a rubber pad. On my tile floor, ot takes two strong men to slide it a few inches, and I needed a way to move it away from the wall so I could install a headboard. I used a small jack to lift each leg a half inch off the floor, and inserted a pad under each leg. After completion, I'm able to move the bed by myself!

So good I bought more!

I originally bought a pack of these to place underneath the sofa in the front room since my roommate was constantly scratching the floor when moving the sofa. These little pads are excellent. The sofa glides with ease now and more importantly, doesn't scratch the wood floors anymore. I also used the pads under a very heavy table on top of a painted concrete floor. It takes a little bit more to move the table, but they're still good for the surface. I assumed the plastic bottomed sliders would likely be scraping up the paint and sticking more so I used the felt ones instead. I had such a great experience with the first batch that I bought another pack and used them on my front room love-seat and our dining room table. Again, they glide across the surface with ease and no longer scratch. I HIGHLY recommend these!
