This is the perfect electric teapot

I have been using a stainless steel pot filled with water on my gas cooktop to fill my Melitta SS pot. I have burned myself multiple times while filling it. This electric kettle is the perfect fix: It is the exact amount of water needed for my coffee pot and because it it the exact temperature needed it just keeps pouring through. I have not gotten burned once. I have only been using it a week or so, but I hope that this lasts! I highly recommend it.

Love it! Use it everyday. Bit heavy but its glass. Durable and easy to clean. I love the light. heats water well and is functional. Highly Reccommend this brand. Update: Jan 23, 2019. For approximately two weeks the lights flicker off and on while placing glass pot on the frame. Most recently the lights do not come on when turning the pot on therefore there is a bad connectivity that is worsening over time. Sometimes I can maneuver it to make it connect however this is not good. I have to rescind my high reccommendation to a be aware that this has happened and no return for exchange or repair is noted and the return policy has since expired. I think if there was a one year policy like most merchants and manufacturers do on appliances, that I would have noted the issue but kept the product review 5 stars and my backing the item...promoting. It is much to my dismay that such a promising product which I was so positive about has no resolve to its demise/faliure to function properly. With no true guarantee to back their product when it has become defective after normal use and care as per instructions, I must lower my stars to a generous 3 stars. Sorry folks. 😑 Feb 7, 2019 Manufacturer Positive Response. After finding their American Headquarters and contacting them with my story I was promptly contacted and asked to give them my order number. They gave me a replacement. Awesome deal. Remember to register your kettel with the manufacturer and activate your warranty, 2 year American warranty. Love this kettle

Love this kettle! Boils room temp water in about six minutes, the blue light is a nice feature. Best part of this kettle is the base plugs in, but the kettle itself is not corded or attached in any way. So it can be lifted, poured, passed around the table, without worrying about a cord or unplugging it. Also has a mesh screen near the spout so any sediment that was inside the kettle will not pour into your French press, coffee mug, tea cup, etc. well worth the money!

All-around excellent

My wife is a tea drinker who is particular about the kettles she uses to heat the water. This is her favorite kettle ever for two reasons: (1) it works really well. The water reaches boiling point quickly and is easy to monitor through the glass sides; (2) it is easy to clean. Her previous kettle had metal walls that simply could not be scrubbed clean of scale. This Mueller pot with its glass sides comes perfectly clean with minimum fuss. One last note--this is a cute little kettle that looks great on a counter top.

Efficient and Useful

I have a terrible roommate that uses my kettle in the most heinous of ways. I was tired of having to clean out her tangle of old tea bags to simply boil water for my tea. We have an electric stove, so getting an electric kettle was a no brainer as it would save on energy costs. This kettle is glass and aluminum. There is no plastic that I can see or feel on the kettle itself. The water heats up in less than 5 minutes and I have a warm cup of milk tea ready in 10 minutes. Before this kettle, it would take me roughly half an hour to get my steel kettle to begin whistling and another 5 minutes to seep and another 5 to cool down to drink. The only negative that I found with this kettle is the fact that the base that it is set upon is lighter than the cord it is connected to. That is, when you do not have the kettle on the base, the base simply goes where it pleases. Everything else about the kettle is secure.

Outstanding product

This is an outstanding cordless kettle and the best one (of several) I’ve ever purchased. It’s beautiful, safe & heats quickly. Very simple to turn on/off & I love the way the lid opens with the press of a button. Perfect for someone who may have some challenges with sore or injured hands. It doesn’t leak at all when pouring, so no worries of a mess or burning yourself with hot water. The price is much better than others that aren’t nearly as nice. Works like a charm & I can have a wonderful pot of tea ready in a couple of minutes.

This has been a lifesaver

I ordered this when I saw the weather report calling for extreme heat, so I wouldn't have to use the stove-top kettle during the heat wave, and this has saved my sanity. It throws off almost no heat while in use, and doesn't stay hot after use, so it adds nothing to the dreadful temperatures. It boils the water very quickly, even when full to the top line, so is a time saver as well. It does take up space on the counter, but that is a small price to pay for not having to use the regular kettle. It is solid, both the kettle part and the bottom, and is simple to use (I wish that more manufacturer's recognized the need for just having On and Off on electric things). I recommend this highly for anyone looking to get boiling water - for tea, coffee, or what have you, without adding to the already uncomfortable heat, or for saving time. I wish I had gotten it sooner.

Outstanding customer service

Rather a long story but I was very impressed with the customer service of this company. When the vendor noticed I had written a negative review of the kettle they contacted me and offered a replacement, even though I had purchased the it months ago and it sat on a shelf until I got around to using it. I had a kettle that served me well for over 3 years. When it stopped heating to a boil I ordered the new one. After reading the directions for the new one, I tried the vinegar cleaning process on my old one and it returned to life for another 6 months. I put the Mueller kettle in the cupboard without ever plugging it in. When the old one finally died about a month ago. I started using the new one. It worked OK but was very slow to boil. My daughter used it when she was here for Christmas and found it totally unacceptable so she immediately ordered me a new one. I did not contact Customer Service or try to return the Mueller kettle as it was long past the return date and I was busy with the holidays. I was quite surprised when they contacted me wanting to make things right. Since I already had a working kettle I declined their offer of a replacement. They issued me a full refund. Can't get any better than that! I gave the company 5 stars because of their great customer service. My replacement kettle is a different brand so I don't really have an opinion on the product.

Quality Product of 2018

Having lived in the United States for over 20 years and relying on the traditional method of boiling water using a teapot and a gas-stove, I was already in the market for a faster and easier way of brewing my favorite cup of tea. As with many Europeans ahead of time, I went with a commitment of purchasing my first Electric Kettle from Mueller after reading so many positive reviews from other buyers regarding this product. And to my amazement, this electric kettle was one of the best purchased item of Winter 2018. Material Quality: After using this product on regular usage for over a month, the quality of the materials held up very well. The black plastic for the handler, button, and other components definitely has a strong touch and they do felt high-quality; unlike other cheap plastic on the market that would break easily with few bumps. The cord is also thick, so you won't have to worry about electrical failure from a cut on the wire any time soon. Since this material has a glass covering, a lot of people might be skeptical about the quality of this material. But rest assured, the glass has a thick-surface (similar to a jug), so it can stand on its own decently; provided that it's being used with care. Appearance: Admittedly, after browsing through different Electric Kettle products on Amazon, this is probably one of the best looking item that stood out from the rest. The combination of glass and plastic shape, along with the curvature of this kettle, is definitely a sight to be had, and I loved being greeted by it every time I'm ready to brew another hot cup of tea. With the container being made of glass, it's a spectacle to watch the water heating up and bubbling from the electrical current; this is especially true when using this kettle at night with beautiful blue LED glowing from within as the water is boiling; the spectacle has definitely amazed a lot of my family and friends! Performance: The instruction was quite clear and easy to follow. Fill in the water with the minimum amount required, mount the kettle, and press the button to the ON switch. Once the water is done boiling, the light will turn off and the button will automatically flipped back to the OFF switch. Because this item is portable and can be connected to any outlet, you can bring it with you in any rooms. So no more having to wait by the gas stove to turn off the heat, or else risk burning down your house. The glass is also effectively used, as you can easily measure the amount of water inside of the kettle, unlike other kettles with concealed covering. As far as the boiling goes, this kettle can boil water pretty fast! Even faster than my previous gas-stove teapot method! After reading several reviews on Amazon, some people may have experienced an issue with the spring inside of the lid being loose or weakened. From my experience with this product, this is currently a non-issue for me as the lid-button on top of the kettle do open easily with a gentle touch and it does snapped very-well when closing. However, having contacted their Customer Service, their team do response immediately, so I do feel re-assured if anything was to happen. Conclusion: Overall, the Mueller Electric Kettle was very simple to use and require low maintenance. Having had this kettle for over couple of months, this product was definitely a game changer and I have noticed myself drinking more teas than usual. Not to mention that this kettle allows me to survive the cold winter season when I need to quickly boil some thing warm to drink!

Great kettle!!

I found this quite by accident while looking for an electric kettle, and am quite happy I did. Even though it had relatively few feedbacks for it, I took a chance and ordered it. So far it has more than lived up to expectations as it boils quickly and pours easily so I don't dribble any water around. It was actually a bit larger than I expected, but that's more than okay with me. Although looks weren't a feature I cared much about, I do have to say it's a nice looking kettle; much better than more boring and drab looking ones. I especially like the glass container as I can see how the heating is going. Overall I'm very happy with it. It comes well packed, so no fear of breakage unless some rogue elephant happens to sit on it!
